    Tip: for street photography, try setting your aperture to f/8. Then pre-focus the camera so that the infinity icon on the focus ring is lined up with the right side number 8 on the depth of field scale. That puts 15’ focus on the left side depth of field scale marker. Now you can simply point and shoot on the street. You just have to make sure everything is about 20’ away. If you shoot f/11 and put infinity at 11 on the DoF scale, you can zone focus 10’-inf.. without having to change focus. The lens is also sharpest around f/8 to f/11. Good luck and enjoy. :)

    Can someone explain ISO and Apature to me? i just got this camera and don't fully understand how to use it

      ISO is the selected film speed, so the film you buy will be something like 400 ISO, that tells you how sensitive the film is to ligh. Aperature controls how much light is let into the camera

      Just to add the ISO number relates to the amount of light I.e. low ISO say 50 better for sunny conditions, high ISO say 3200 better for night, low iso less grain high iso more grain. The aperture is a series of blades in the lens that move as you adjust the dial the higher the number the smaller the aperture, the less light, so the camera will slow the shutter speed to compensate, the lower the number the more light the faster shutter speed you will get. Importantly the aperture also controls the depth of field, the distance from the camera that will be in acceptable focus. This camera has a depth of field scale on it. Look up how to read it on you tube. Good luck

    What are you using to scan your film?

    • @shotbychrisl
      @shotbychrisl  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I use a Canon R5 with a 100mm macro lens, then convert the negatives with Negative Lab Pro

    not trying to be mean but you should reconsider the way you develop your films, it looks horrendous like it was taken on a 2007 digicam

      It was a really really expired roll of Fuji Superia, I have done hundred of rolls in my lab and actually have a pretty decent workflow and equipment to get everything right so really it is not the development is just how expired film works. Sometimes you win some times you lose 😅
