    i think the reason many people (including me) fear the "selling" concept is because we percieve others as "superior" in a way, and tell ourselves "why would this person let themself be convinced by me?". Only recently have i been starting to realize that everyone else is just as stupid as me, just as human as me. We're all equal, so there's no reason I cant convinve someone in the same way that i myself can be convinced.

      I dont really get the mindset that all people are equal, when theres smart og stupid people, good looking and ugly, workaholic and the lazy. To a degree we are kinda the same but still not really. Am i wrong?

    • @simondolian3565
      @simondolian3565 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@KK001 Well, equal doesn't really mean identical or similar. Yes we're all different, no two people are the same. But we can still be equal. There's a reason why imposter syndrome exists. Under the persona there's the real human and that I think we all have in common. Once you realize that, everyone who seems important or superior, you'll see they're just as lost in life. I recommend looking into Alan Watts a bit to understand this concept better.

    This is why I’ve always said everyone should work in customer service or a call center at least once in their lives. You get humbled a lot, but you also learn to sell yourself and persuade people. I’m naturally an introvert, but thanks to that I’ve learned to open up a lot and sell myself in job interviews as the friggin man for the job and it’s worked.

    Sales and learning the psychology of selling is one of the best things you can do for yourself.

    • @Growordecay

      Agreed this is a very is a nuanced subject. Lot of times men who are in their feminine frame do this. For example guys who try to stare down every man they see as a threat. Male tests are usually just through joking and throwing jabs after getting to know ya. The opposite is men who try to pull you down and are egoic. Male tests are positive challenges not feminine envy

    This pitching thing is what I've been trying to really master since I've started doing some preaching in front of 20+ people. It's amazing how learning how to pitch turns you into a "character," someone like David or Solomon from the Bible. I used to have this problem where people would come to me due to the halo effect, but the moment I started talking, very quickly they sense weakness. But over time I created and nourished a stoic/philosopher mindset that people genuinely respect and in turn I learn as I teach or pitch. This thinking and painting the big picture to sell an idea is a very important part of being a leader inside your home and outside. Start with creating a strong foundation and that starts with knowing what your heart wants to share and needs.

  • @olive_alves
    @olive_alves 2 ปีที่แล้ว +10

    I am a waiter, so I agree w you that pitch is very important. Some of my coworkers lack this, and they don’t get paid as much (bc we make $ off tips for the most part), and I’ve found that having a strong and confident aura leads to me being getting better tips, I’ve found that my customers are much easier to talk to, and I think both my customers and I recognize that I am there to help them, and will do what I can to do that. Being your own character and having a strong pitch is super important and makes connection easier, thanks for making a video about this
    (Edit) and this only applies to one aspect of life, which is money making. A good pitch and strong aura can help with your athletic prowess and hobby building as well, overall I’ve been more confident since I started working on that in all aspects of life

    I’ve been around car salesmen growing up & I always had a bad view of them, my ex’s father sold me a truck for $500 & not soon after the brake lines go, & I’m barreling down a busy bridge, sideswiped a car & turned into a gas station & almost ran into the pump but hit the guardrail with his daughter in the car, anyway most are usually all out for themselves.. maybe I need to change my perception of “selling” & not see it as “inauthentic, manipulative, greedy” you’re right Eli , that’s how the world keeps moving, businesses prosper from “selling”! We would be nothing without selling truthfully…

    Man Im just genuinely happy I got a chance to find a content creator that doesn't give a F**k about having the most views or more subscribers and has been just consistent on teaching us (whoever gets to find this channel by chance just what happened to me an hour ago) on how to "really" be a man. I mean I'm not a little boy anymore and I've not been lockin myself up in the room or anything I've been going out meeting new people all the time manning up voicing out and shit but it's just real cool to find a somewhat mentor on TH-cam other than these famous famous dudes that just create shit and pitch it out into the world and just pay loads to get people watching em and sh*t. Anyways my point is that I'm just really grateful I found this channel tonight. I've been watching Dr. Peterson for the past 3 years as well. But man this Andrew tate thing is just rubbish and it's all over the place, should've been this man's hype rather than that bald empty headed guy that just goes on podcasts and just gets to the minds of us with such charisma and dominance but just all for nothing, that doesn't really teach you real world sh*t and he's actually just paying people to market his "real-world" courses which I won't ever pay for. This guy is just genuinely helping all of us out there to just keep thriving with the best he's got to say. Big brother things here man, love this. Peace Elisha, love the content man.

    I dont think blackpill means necessarily low iq, Im considered to be a pretty smart guy, got a full scholarship on med school and I used to believe the blackpill. What made me this way? Social anxiety. You pre frontal cortex get much worse when you are anxious, so you will get dumber and unable to really understand the social dinamics around you. Im still anxious but since I try fight it, I go to parties and bars like 2 times a week, and witnessed so many guys that are much less attractive than me getting laid that it inst even funny. The thing is that your average anxious guy will enter social situations like 1 time per semester and it will screw his perception that is already lacking due to anxiety

      Exactly! I'm the same way. I actually just got into med school and even made a joke that I have a better chance of becoming a doctor than getting a girl. Lol, I ended up being right. My problem is that I can never keep interest at all. When women talk to me, they stop caring after 5 mins. And I agree that I can't understand the dynamics as well as my friends who get women easily. However I will say improv has helped a bunch. Have you tried it? It tends to make you talk in different scenarios in front of people. It has helped me know what's funny and what should follow after a convo. But yeah alot of social anxious people don't go out enough to practice

      @@shaun9184 at some point you will realize girls and money are not it. It’s a young mans game, you don’t want to be the 50 year old still chasing 18 year olds and still trying to become rich. Self improvement is great but at what point does it become a selfish lifestyle? Ive been watching this channel for half a decade or so and it’s still highly focused on high school boys. I understand that gets views but at what point do we move on?

    My philosophy is that the world is ending due to overpopulation/resource depletion/climate collapse. So it’s hard for me to want to sell people on how awesome life can be, because that might influence people to want to have kids so that their kids can theoretically have an awesome life too - while me believing they are doomed. Don’t get me wrong, I love my life, but I’m torn between expressing the awesomeness of life and discouraging others from having kids. You might call my philosophy black pilled, but there are a ton of people with a higher IQ than me that think this planet is screwed too.
