My RS-BA1 causes the radio to crash when I try to transmit over the network and stays in transmit mode. The radio stays in transmit mode until I get back to turn it off. This is dangerous if I'm on the road and it happens.
So im new to this remote stuff , so if you have the software you have to install rsba1 on pc that has radio connected and also on the pc that id be taking on vacation ?
@Frank P - yes, on some of the ICOM radios, in this case the IC-7300, you will need a PC connected with a USB cable and the ICOM Remote Control Software installed. This acts as the "server". On the newer ICOM radios, this is unnecessary as the server is built-in to those radios.

screen says "connected" but can get to function beyond this point, why?

Anyway to remote into the radio if your can’t port forward my ISP has this banned ..
I'm not aware of a way. We'll be looking at other solutions in the future. Stay tuned and thanks for the question.
