Wow! Dan that was the greatest history I’ve ever heard noy only about the H hi Ames gang…. but all about the currency as well! I loved listening to you! Keep up the fantastic work! I hope bf I die that I can acquire the bison note & the black eagle! Blessings always! Hope you’re doing well! 🙏😊❤️
@ Thank you Dan! I don’t have much money to save bc I had to retire at age 58 due to my heart attacks. But, maybe one day I’ll get one! Take care! ✝️🙏😊
WOW this is an awesome video of that National Bank. The history of Jesse James is an amazing story. There is nothing like history on paper money. Thank you for sharing.
Superbly done Dan. Loved everything about this video. What a great piece of history and a great tie-in to a National Bank note. Loved the notes shown with all the background and really liked the connection of the bank note to the actual bank.
Wow - thank you! It was fun and a bit challenging to put together "one" version because there are some variations - nothing from the main story. Those Nationals can tell a good story.
Dan that was a super interesting and clever video. Congrats on getting that note. I wonder if any notes exist with the Jesse James provenance shown in the holder?
@ I know how much you “love” coins, but it would be cool to have a slabbed coin showing the Jesse James provenance shown. It baffles me why the Binions provenance on the 1934 $10,000 notes is cool. Would much rather have a Jesse james provenance shown.
MY BROTHER INLAW GREAT GRANDFATHER HAD HIS POCKET WATCH TOOK'N BY THE JESSE JAMES GANG AND WHEN THE RAYROAD RE-PLACE IT IT JUST WAS'N THE SAME KINDA WATCH FOR WHAT HE HAD BACK THEN!!
This is why I like and enjoy about collecting National banknotes most of all. when it comes to collecting currency. all of these banknotes. that were issued by all of these different banks. regardless of the state. have history behind them and are intertwined in some way or another with different events throughout our country's banking history. this is something other currencies just can't compete with.
Excellent job on the background. But,it wasn't really a robbery, only an attempted robbery. Also,I'm wondering your thoughts on conspiracy,aka...The Knights of the Golden Circle
Thanks...but they did get $26.70!!! LOL!!! And wow! The Knights of the Golden Circle - a real thing but I look at it as more alternative "what if" history even though it was a thing. Definitely had big plans!
Very cool. I have a Denison Iowa national that was part of the baby face Nelson cash hoard that was found in Texas. I believe that he robbed a bank in Minnesota and traveled to Texas with his stolen money.
@PolarCurrency I found the note on Heritage auctions. You can look for it there, and I believe that they have a write-up about it and all the other notes that they sold.
A lot of old world buildings in this video. Ever notice how such buildings are NEVER built today? Back then, they allegedly built such buildings in a year or so. That was with no power tools, no heavy machinery, dirt/mud roads, and horse+cart to transport materials. There is something SERIOUSLY wrong with that narrative. Because despite alleged advances, such buildings cannot be constructed now within ANY length of time. Also, the vast majority of those old world buildings are linked with underground tunnels. Such is the case all over the world in towns both big and small. Once you see the truth, it cannot be unseen.
👍 Excellent!! u are a master story teller my friend 👌
Thanks for kind words - means a lot coming from you.

Thanks Betty - save your dollars the Black Eagle is certainly achievable!

WOW this is an awesome video of that National Bank. The history of Jesse James is an amazing story. There is nothing like history on paper money. Thank you for sharing.
Nothing against coins or other banknotes but the only currency that can tell this type of story is National Bank Notes! Thanks for the kind words!
What an amazing video. Always love hearing the stories of outlaws.
Sidebar....... That's the lowest graded note you have so far....... Stay tuned.
Thanks Gunny! That sounds like some foreshadowing or a challenge?!
@PolarCurrency I will be on a mission at the Florida Fun Show to find the lowest graded currency just for you.
Superbly done Dan. Loved everything about this video. What a great piece of history and a great tie-in to a National Bank note. Loved the notes shown with all the background and really liked the connection of the bank note to the actual bank.

I Totally agree with you.

Thank you sir! That's a good question! None from Northfield unless it's a slabbed coin!
@ I know how much you “love” coins, but it would be cool to have a slabbed coin showing the Jesse James provenance shown. It baffles me why the Binions provenance on the 1934 $10,000 notes is cool. Would much rather have a Jesse james provenance shown.
@@blkcrypto That would be very cool - probably impossible trying to track, trace, identify and authentic! Agree on the Binions - a bit much!
Thanks Dan, for another great video. The history of the U.S. and our money is amazing. Thank you for your research and sharing with us.
Thanks Jeff Davis - this was a fun one for me being so close to home!

MY BROTHER INLAW GREAT GRANDFATHER HAD HIS POCKET WATCH TOOK'N BY THE JESSE JAMES GANG
AND WHEN THE RAYROAD RE-PLACE IT IT JUST WAS'N THE SAME KINDA WATCH FOR WHAT HE HAD BACK THEN!!
Now that is great family history! Thanks for sharing!
Great video! I wish you luck in outdoing the grade of that note. I know 2’s exist!
Thanks Stu! A true currency lowball!

@@PolarCurrencyAlot of people believe he robbed all those banks to fund the KGC
One thing I remember about Northfield is the smell of the Malt-O-Meal factory on a hot day... whew!
Especially coming in from I-35!
Great video, thank you for the fantastic work and sharing!
Thanks - really appreciate the kind words.
As always thanks Dan. Love your collection.
Even that note! Thank you RNR!
@ especially that note. It has seen better days but cool the connection to that bank.
Very cool. I have a Denison Iowa national that was part of the baby face Nelson cash hoard that was found in Texas. I believe that he robbed a bank in Minnesota and traveled to Texas with his stolen money.
That is fantastic! Baby Face certainly spent time up here - may have to track that story down. Love the Nationals.
@PolarCurrency I found the note on Heritage auctions. You can look for it there, and I believe that they have a write-up about it and all the other notes that they sold.
Very interesting video! You sure you aren't a history teacher?
Thanks Blue Goose - would have never made it! I would have wound up in jail...

Well, never really thought about it.
