If you buy a rv and you're not handy, get handy. Great job 👏 👍🏾

Tks for the help, our slides is nearly identical and it's just been getting weaker and weaker over the years. May give this a shot. Tks again!

It's interesting how many things were wrong with that old motor and drive, and one of which would cause a bad day. Nice work fixing it yourselves!

Yeah, we think the mounts breaking caused the other part to break (part that locks the motor in place), as the whole thing would be free to spin and knock into things... Thanks for your comment!

Just replaced ours. You should see our video the motor is placed differently on that metal bracket. Nice video, done very well. I like the little girl actor, she adds a soft touch to the job. I can't get my 10 year grand-daughter to make videos with me.....🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂

My Fleetwood drivers side is not working and I think your video will help me troubleshoot my problem. I was moving the slid out and it just stopped working. I think it's an electoral problem and I'm going to look for the fuse first and your video had shown me where to look.

Thanks for answering me, I have not found the Lipford Slide control, I have a large slide with 2 motors. I have 3 slides total and I found the other 2 controls but the fuse and the control are giving me a hard time.

FLEETWOOD Discovery Bedroom Slide- failed, It is under the bed. It too had a cracked casing. I think it is a design error to use cast aluminum for something that has that much load repetitively. I am glad to understand how to move the slides manually and will keep appropriate tools onboard. How much was the motor- I am finding it in the range of 1000 dollars. A bit high in my oppinion. Also, can not see how to just change the gearbox. My motor still works fine. Nice work and Happy trails.

We got our replacement motor on Amazon (link in the description). It’s an aftermarket brand, but fits and works perfectly (even a little quieter than the original). $1000 seems way excessive for what this motor is. Unfortunately, we believe this is only sold as a complete unit. Hope this helps, and thanks for watching!
