Have a fantastic birthday bash later this year. I'm in the UK so it's a little far to come, but I'm sure you'll all have a great time and do well with your charity event. Thanks for all you do. You've were the person (Jenny) who demystified quilting and helped me pluck up the courage to give it a go. It took me nearly 30 years to get over the effects of a textile teacher, who was more worried about her machines than teaching us to enjoy the process. I used to 'forget' my project nearly every week so I didn't have to worry about using school machines. I got a small machine about 2 years ago, but it didn't like to FMQ so got a bigger machine last year. I love to make quilts, and it really is my therapy as I've had chronic back pain since I broke my back when I was 16. Quilting is perfect as I cut a bit, sit and sew a bit, stand to press so I don't stay in one position too long. Thanks again.
Fantastic show, format & info. Jenny got me through the boring hours of Chemo & turned a garment sewist into a piece quilter.....and we’ve been friends ever since!
Love this format. We can always learn something new. A lot of people want the pattern for the quilt behind them. The quilt looks like it is just made with half-square triangles. You could watch how she makes half-square triangles with a bright fabric and a white fabric and place them to look like the quilt.
Love Jenny & Missouri Star!! I have been quilting for 3.5 years, beginning at age 65. Have watched all the tutorials & made 40+ quilts so far, often using one of your tutorials or a pattern from Block magazine. I usually look for the tutorial to go along with Block Magazine because I find it hard at times to follow a pattern but when I see it being done on the tutorial it makes sense to me. Thank you for this Q & A ... very informative! Hope you do it again.
I loved this Q & A with Jenny and Misty...please do it again soon. With so much experience and information to share it is such a treat to hear all the ideas.
As someone with knobby, going in different fingers (only one hand, weird, huh?), I appreciate your tip about gluing down before hand finishing the binding. Also, you are so kind to newbies, when the person asked what a jelly roll was, you explained it explicitly and went beyond with other sizes to help that person. Thank you Jenny.
I learned to quilt with you Jenny, and I will be forever grateful for your great tutorials. During this sad pandemic you’ve been a true inspirational. Thank you from the bottom of my heart from Innisfil Ontario Canada 🇨🇦
I found Jenny late one night while going down the TH-cam rabbit hole....it changed my life and I bought a sewing machine 2 months later....finished is better than perfect...so Jenny, have you ever gone done the TH-cam rabbit hole...what did you find?
I've used light fusable interfacing to join batting peaces, I cut it into strips. Loved seeing you Jenny made my first quilt with the big star tutorial...
Love love love! Please do this regularly. I love you so much. You have been my inspiration and a road to wellness for me. Thank you so much for the last 10 yrs Jenny!
Love the Q&A format! Jenny and Misty are such great "hosts." I'd absolutely LOVE a show either with them (a sewing show), or a in-the-life-of type show of Jenny and family.
Seeing all the places where the viewers are from is really impressive! Jenny wasn't kidding when she mentioned that she had followers from around the world . . . . and many people can put together quilts with the bare minimum fabrics and tools. Jenny shows how to do it. It's great. :)
Just love the Q & A! I learn so much from you when I watch your videos. I am a beginner quilter but have been sewing for over 50 years. I was always intimidated by quilting. Looking forward to many more videos. Helen
OMG! I love the tip for repairing old quilts! I have several that have been in storage forever because I didn't want to take any of it apart and then not get it back to the way it was. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
I LOVE your advice about where to buy a machine from! I wish I had known that before I bought my Janome from a dealer who wasn't nice or helpful. I believed in buying local, but I now drive 45 minutes to the friendly dealer.
Jenny, I loved that you suggested supporting your small hometown businesses in buying a sewing machine locally. Great, great advice. We hardly have anything in the town we live in but we have a great dealer here who has Bernina sewing machines. No fabric in the store though so they have a fabric trailer from someone out of an even smaller town who sets up outside once a month. Otherwise we only have one other place here to buy fabric and their selection is pretty small. I wish we had a bigger fabric store here.
Didn't get in live today. I really like this format. I have always enjoyed your tutorials and really love the Tuesday live. Without you Jenny and the MSQC group I probably wouldn't made my 1st quilt in 2011. I have made multiple quilts since then.
Hi Jenny and Misty. I do like the new sit and talk. I've been watching you for years and have learned so much from you. I love the tutorials from all of you. Love the triple play Dar from NJ
Love this video. Thanks. I only put flannel backing for my daughter and grandchildren. I was told, flannel keeps them nice and warm. They live in Texas
Regina McTeague from Philadelphia PA: I love this Q&A set-up. Being able to ask questions and receive responses is almost like a get together at someone's home. Thank you for the sharing time!
I'm so happy I found this video!! I learned a great deal from your answers. A big Thank You for not assuming all of us out here are experienced or advanced with sewing; details are sure appreciated. Next Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. is on my calendar - July 31st - for more education and inspiration!
Hi Jenny, was Subscribed to your channel just found out I lost it somehow a while ago so glad I have found you again now I have resubscribed again!!!! I know this video was five years ago but I am truly enjoying it and learning so much from all the AQ and thee vice and tips, have never made a quilt before but always would love to make one now I really want to do one for my new grand baby! So this is so great thank you so much for this wonderful reply vide!!! You are a beautiful lady and look like a lot of fun caring lady and the girl that is with you is beautiful!!!! Thanks for everything hugs Liz from Vancouver B.C Canada 😊💕
I love you guys! I love how you explain the precut. I am a lefty too. I learned how to do things right handed too. I also liked your comments about pink edges. I thought it was just me. Great job and thank you very much!
I love the Q&A show. I really love the color book you showed at the end of the show. So clever!! I am definitely going to make one of those for future grand babies,
Peggy from Biloxi. I just finished the Delectable Mountains Quilt. I used the painters tape for the 2 3/8" cutting like you did. Great idea. Thank you.
Love this Q & A!!! Your personalities are wonderful and the answers are interesting and informative! I wish that I could get a heads up so that I could watch them live!
I like the quilt that is hanging between you today during your live show. Do you have a tutorial on that particular quilt? I love your tutorials! I look forward to seeing them.
Ha, I am a natural righty but due to a birth defect do many things as a lefty. I think it is an advantage actually, because I can adapt either way. I was a switch hitter in softball and can shoot pool either way. Love your tutorials!
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Here’s your 💕 you are the best. When I wake up I always grab my coffee and see your shows. I have made 2 of your quilts already. Working on the hashtag quilt for my 12 year old granddaughter right now. I’m from Canada 🇨🇦
I have to admit that I'm not a fan of the q&a videos but I really enjoyed this one. I love your tutorials and have a long list of "to dos". I am finishing number 4 queen size this year. I would have more done but I hand quilt everything.
The book of orphan blocks is such a great idea, a great gift for babies as a first book since they are washable and the quilting adds texture which, in my experience, little ones love. It is a great project to practice Fmq on without getting overwhelmed but the same goes for smaller quilts (baby) toppers & bags. This Q& A was really nice, Thank You. I also thought it was cool that you put Jenny's road stop schedule up. Do You have a place where You post upcoming events... ? MSQC is just the best! :)
I just watched this. Love it!! Can we do this again? Much better than when people watch things like The View and such. I'd like to have a tutorial on making labels for our quilts.
I missed your live. I am a new first time quilter and I am working on the orange peel quilt. Do you have any videos on how to finish the quilt yourself. I am learning from all your videos. I want to be able to finish the quilt myself. Love all the help you give me.
Great tutoral! More Please! Of course when Jenni and Misty can get together! Can't make Green Bay, BUT wish I could! I've been watching you since 2009, AND told the shops in Madison ,Wisconsin about how much easier You make them than other fabric dealers! We have the WPT Quilt Expo Sept. 6-8 in Madison. Nancy Zieman, is regrettably gone now, BUT I REALLY didn't know about her until I went to one of our Quilt shops in Madison. HAVE A GREAT DAY!
Hello from Houston. Can’t wait until Missouri Star opens up again mask free!! Visited in 2019 and loved it. I think my group paid your rent for the month😂😂
Thoroughly enjoyed the Q & A. I learned how to piece watching your tutorials. What I would like (need) to see is a few tutorials on different ways to piece the backing. There's so much work that goes into the quilt top I feel the back should be equally interesting, but less work.
Me gusta mucho lo que hacen todo es muy lindo ...no entiendo lo que dicen no hablo inglés pero veo cómo trabajan es muy bonito las saludo desde Guatemala 🤗🤗🤗🤗
Hi Jenny is there any chance that you might do a spinning star tutorial at some point, I’m a bit puzzled by it, and love your tutorials, they are so helpful.
Love the Q&A w Jenny. She seems so relaxed and fields so many questions. She makes us all better quilters!

I may be Four years late watching this Q&A show , but it was still very informative ! Thank you Jenny & Misty . ♥️

I absolutely love this program format. I am learning so much. Jenny you are like the girl next door. You are so down to earth

Also, you are so kind to newbies, when the person asked what a jelly roll was, you explained it explicitly and went beyond with other sizes to help that person. Thank you Jenny.
Mom Grandma You might love having an accuquilt cutter to simplify cutting. Even grandchildren could help with that.

Since I have been quilting, I have learned so much from The Missouri Quilt Company, sewing methods and using quilt rulers and templets.
As a retired librarian I love that you have your quilts cataloged and they get checked out.!!
I loved watching the replay! I think the peg boards are a great color because they help the other colors stand out.
Really enjoyed this Q&A. Hope you do it every week.
Thank you for being such a wonderful "real" person!
Who came up with the idea of doing cross-stitch on the perforated boards at the back of the set? That is a genius thing to do...…..LOVE IT!!!!!
