Thank you for being such a wonderful teacher all your followers are so Blessed to have you in our lives. God Bless you and your entire family and company
Hand down, Jenny is the best teacher I have ever seen. I was a public school teacher for thirty years, so I’ve been exposed to hundreds! HUNDREDS! I do believe she could teach brain surgery! I became a quilter because of Jenny. Thanks for all you do for us!
I have been watching Jenny since day 1. Love her quilts and tutorials. I have made so many of her patterns for the charity arm of my quilt guild. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
@@MissouriQuiltCo Well I have Jennifer beat a little. I'm 69 and just starting out thanks to Jenny's tutorials. I'm sure I'm not the youngest Ha Ha! Oldest!
Hi Jenny, now you are a TV star as well as a TH-cam Star!!!! Thank you so much for sharing your talent and love of quilting with all of us here!!!! I've learned so much from you and I enjoy learning all of the different blocks and patterns from watching you!!!!
Thank you Jenny. I am a new quilter from the UK and you tutorials have inspired me. I love the quack quack duck on your theme music. You have cost me a fortune in fabric Jenny 😄😄😄. I am making stuff that I would never have dreamed of making without your tutorials. I love your casual but professional attitude and when you make little oops mistakes. You are so human, just like the rest of us. Happy 8th birthday. Xxxxx
my aunt passed away in 2012, she was an excellent quilting, losing her so early means I lost out on a lot of teaching from her, but Jenny has been that link In my quilting, without her I would be lost.
I'm so glad that you can continue on! What a wonderful way to honor your aunt's memory! I hope your love for quilting can be a source of healing for you!
OMG 😲 that was great, fantastic!!!!!!!!! Exceptional 😳😳😳😳😳😳😳😳✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️ I would have to watch this many times before I could safely try it. Thank you so much 😊 once again Jenny you're the queen 👸🏼 of quilting.....
Hi, Jenny! Since I discovered my first Jenny tutorial I have watched and saved every one. Before you I self-figured-and fiddled-and-finagled what I could. I cut out cardboard shapes and drew around them, cut everything with sissors until I took a chance on a rotary cutter and 18"mat (astounding!), and sewed everything on the Featherweight my Mom gave me in 1972. Now, thanks to you and all the things I've discovered on TH-cam because of you, I have a big table (yay), a handy ironing board, a sewing machine with more than one stitch (but still use the Featherweight💓), and now I'm thinking about a Big Shot. What a gift you have given us with these videos, opened up a whole new world for me. I have to seriously budget to buy fabric (and get quite a lot from shirts from Goodwill, lol!), but you've expanded my horizons so much, I am so grateful for the visions you've offered. I started this comment to say that sometimes I forget to click "like", but in my heart I've loved them all. So, thank you, Jenny, for throwing open a door to a big wonderful world to me, and to everyone else.
Jenny you are the best!!! I've learned more from you than any other on quilt program. I keep trying to get some one to come with me. My bucket list is to make it to Hamiltom Mo.
Hi Jenny, Great Special....I used your Hunter's Square Pattern for the 2016 Hoffman Challenge. It is my first contest and while I did not win the quilt will be on tour for the next year...I am sooooo greatful that you do these tutorials. You make it simple and easy. Visual learners rejoice Velicia Evans
Oh my goodness Jenny, I've used this technique for years for placemats and table runners. Now why didn't I ever think of this for quilts and blankets. LOL! Thanks so much, as I'm sure I will get so many more made now.
Thank the Lord! I always got those corners cut wrong. My poor granddaughter had messed up baby blankets! Finally after she was bigger and her brother came along, I figured out how I was doing it wrong. It was a big duh moment! This is much easier for my brain!
This looks so much simpler than previous...I may have to do a double top stitch...one a few inches into it also just to secure...but that's me of course!
Question, please. What is the name of the quilt and where is the tutorial for the quilt that is directly behind Angie Simmons? Having a great time going through the "The Missouri Star Story" videos ... great to know 'the beginning to now'! Enjoy you daily! Also, do you have any more of the "Couch to Quilt" deals like the one shown here? (keeping my fingers crossed)
Jenny uses a Martelli cutting mat. I've linked to the round one below. Unfortunately the big one she uses in tutorials we do not sell. www.missouriquiltco.com/shop/detail/30560/martelli-enterprises/-/round-16-cutting-mat
Hi guys, I am looking for the name of the fabric you used on the Hunter Star? Love the bright colors. I have some other fabrics kinda similar but already have them planned for other quilts....
The fabric was Tucker Prairie by One Canoe Two, for Moda. Unfortunately the 10" layer cakes are no longer available. But you can go to Missouri Star Quilt company website and browse their 10" precut fabrics and they give a sample picture of all the fabrics in each layer cake. www.missouriquiltco.com/shop/browse/14 This link should take you to the precut 10" section. Their website is very user friendly and you can find what you need quite simply. Hope this helps.
Thank You Tammy, I have been looking but Jenny always uses the fabrics that fit the quilt just right. Like the sashed Hexi she uses Mostly Manor....Oh Well, I'm sure I'll find something similar.......S.A.M.
I'm sorry I didn't answer sooner! One Canoe Two does have a new line that would also work beautifully called Hazelwood: www.missouriquiltco.com/shop/detail/63601/moda-fabrics/one-canoe-two/hazelwood-layer-cake The key with the Hunter's Star is to make sure that you're using a print fabric that isn't too similar to the solid fabric you're using against it. Good luck! :)
If I saw this correctly you simply eliminated 3 in all the way around. Oops I didn't add the SA in there, ! I am wondering if I could piece some cuddle or flannel together for the middle and do the same thing. ?? I am new to quilts but have seen on and off most of my life. Is there any reason why it would not work pieced. ? I think I would spray with the fabric basting spray to avoid slipping then. Thank you!
Jenny, I love everything you do and have been following you since the beginning, I have made dozens of things from the 3 bags from 1 charm pack to queen sized quilts all by following your tutorials, and yes I have made about 30 of the self binding baby quilts but I make wheelchair quilts out of them, that being said, I absolutely don't like the new way you did them, that don't seem to be your style of doing things, just sayin' the rest of this segment was spot on, thank you for all you do,
How do you quilt in the center of the quilt. The minky doesn't want to maintain it's shape, like it's too heavy. And my attempts to quilt the center makes it want to bunch up.
You would place the flannel inside the cuddle, if you were using flannel or guaze. When the cut edge of the flannel is enclosed by the cuddle, it's not a problem.
So sorry about that. If you watch the Self Binding Baby Blanket Tutorial on our TH-cam channel you can turn the CC on. th-cam.com/video/lqwdNqMZ8Ro/w-d-xo.html

Jenny I love that you break these quilts down and take the hard out of quilting. You are my favorite. I get scared after looking at some quilts.
Jenny, you are the best. Have to get some of that Cuddle Cloth and make some little darlin' happy and comfy. Thanks so much. Love this.

I have been making the triangle quilt. I wanted to check back for measurements but could not find it again.
Could this method be used for a blanket quilt for a twin sized bed? Thank you for the great tutorials
It sure would! You just need to make sure the the bigger piece is a consistent 6" wider than the other piece on all sides.

That's the great thing about quilting! You can do what works for you! :)
This is great. Does anyone know what fabric I would buy in UK?
Cuddle fabric Is universal or flannel... does not matter. soft fabric for babies :) Choa
Uffda, this is sooo much easier. I hated the corners on the other pattern. Thx

Julia Daniels Jenny has a Hunter Star tutorial on You Tube
Do you have a way to do this technique with finished edges on the border part of the fabric?
You could certainly fold the edges under before sewing or sew along the edges with a zig zag. :)
Check out our Orange Peel Tutorial... that shows a great way to have finished edges with applique: th-cam.com/video/5tyAig7XupI/w-d-xo.html

Where is the Missouri Quilt Co.?
We are located in Hamilton, Mo. You can find out more at visitmsqc.com :)
Hi Lottie! We're located in Hamilton, MO right in the middle of town! :)
If I saw this correctly you simply eliminated 3 in all the way around. Oops I didn't add the SA in there, ! You could piece it together. I would suggest backstitching when piecing it since it won't be quilted or that extra stability. Hope this helps!
You could certainly piece it! It's just not quite as simple of a project that way, but you can do it however you like! :)

The outer blanket does not have a finished edge?
sei bravissima anche no capisce la lingua inglese ma potere servì le misure in cm grazie molto☺☺☺💐👏👏
How do you quilt in the center of the quilt. The minky doesn't want to maintain it's shape, like it's too heavy. And my attempts to quilt the center makes it want to bunch up.
I have a Brother quilting machine with only a straight stitch. No blanket stitch can I just do a straight stitch
You are not concerned about the raw edges? Especially if using flannel, it really frays.
You would place the flannel inside the cuddle, if you were using flannel or guaze. When the cut edge of the flannel is enclosed by the cuddle, it's not a problem.
The minky/cuddle doesn't fray, but if you use flannel you can zig zag stitch the edges or fold them under. Hope this helps!
Okay, thank you
Tell me your stitch pattern you used.
how would you cut the corners to Do a rectangle or does this only work on squares?
all 4 corners would still be cut the same :)
Hi Lupe, which method are you talking about?
Pls give me instructions or pattern pls?? Thank u
Doesn’t the center need to be quilted?
where is the video for the pincushion in the video

How does this not fray?
What about raw edges though?
The Cuddle fabric is great because is doesn't fray when you leave the edges raw.
I know this is a old video but... You don't need to turn over the edge... Just sew as is...
Muy bien
