Firstly, happy new year. I'm from East Kilbride but until 2021 I was living with my partner in the east midlands. Occasionally I'd get a twinge of homesickness and even watching old episodes of Rab C and Braveheart couldn't ease it. One day I was in the local library with my partner and at the last minute I spotted your book. It was a great read and I felt a bit better after finishing it. I've also enjoyed your podcasts and interviews recently too. Thank you so much.

Was up in Glasgow Saturday with the wife . Couldn’t get into many of the pubs just mobbed out . Round George square and the streets adjoining seems like thousands of people on the bevy . Ps my wee granny I watched the wrestling with when I was a boy always told me best things in life was contentment and health took me 40 yr to release it was true .

But others will. It really is a life of 99% misery full of violent, psychopathic low lives who would rat their own mother out to make a pound. Unless you are of that type of character i'd stay away from that life.

must be hard every night in a cell from 8 or 9 oclock til the morning time ,imagine doing that for years that would drive me nuts ,i think weekenders are so boring i used to just sleep through it
I'm struggling to stop drinking, it's my defensive mechanism, I have really bad anxiety and 2-3pnts settle me down, but you can't do much after that, no driving half cut, but at least I can talk to people, people do recognise this in me as I only go to one bar where there's maybe 3-5 people in most nights. If I didn't go the pub with the dog, I'd go for days n days without even speaking to anyone

I'm struggling to stop drinking, it's my defensive mechanism, I have really bad anxiety and 2-3pnts settle me down, but you can't do much after that, no driving half cut, but at least I can talk to people, people do recognise this in me as I only go to one bar where there's maybe 3-5 people in most nights. If I didn't go the pub with the dog, I'd go for days n days without even speaking to anyone
