Test your 1 rep max, with good form (chin above the bar and little to no kipping) and then use linear progression. So let's say my 1 RM is 25 Kg + Body weight (65 Kg), take 80% of that which will be often times an 8 rep max and build up to 12 reps, then up the weight by 2.5-5 Kg and repeat.
The pull bar in my gym is so darn short that I’m always forced to tuck my legs back at the bottom, it sucks because I’m used to engaging my abs and keeping the legs in front. So mostly, none of these helpful tricks will workout for me. My gym doesn’t have a weight belt either, not always a fun thing to belong to a small town with mediocre gyms.
@@MichaelEckert I actually do them with iron dumbbells, sure they hurt quite a bit, but I’ve gotten used to them, and they are helping me so far. Thanks for your reply and I love following your content focused on pull ups - something that not many people are good at. Thanks!
Hey please feel free to respond or not, but i noticed that your shoulders are lopsided, but you don't seem bothered by it. Is that something you can/want to fix or not. I have a similar issue so i was wondering
Bro is strong asff i can only do 4 pull ups on 40kg + weight damn
Tf bro you strong asf too mans a literal beast
Bruh can't do even 10 with 10kg you're really strong my dude
Umm ok
you realize those weights are in pounds right? so he is also pulling 40KGs in the video
Same i can do 10 reps with 40kg but not near his level 😫
I just get fatter thereby adding weight to my pullups.
that is the most straightforward simplest way. that way you don't have to mess with plates or vests or dip belts. you go to the bar already equipped
I wonder what it feels like to be this strong
You don’t have to wonder. Keep doing pull-ups, add some weight as you progress. This will be you in under 4 months guaranteed
Not months, more like years but yeah dood... I went from 1 pullups to 9 pullups wide with +25 lb belt perfect form in 3 years.
Bro i can't hold myself with 1 arm and you are doing with weight!!! Awesome
My gym needs to get those step platforms for those high pull up bars. Most people are on the shorter side
I use a weight vest, a loaded backpack, and leg weights to make my pullups a bit more challenging.
I’m a fan of the backpack method.
it leaves scars around my shoulders, is there a solution for that?
@@nettlex broader strap bags the more possible broader the strap would be the more better
i was prepared to see him do a weighted one arm pull up
👍👍
you are an inspiration bro!
Recently started doing the weighted pull up crunch. With dumbbell between feet
Great tips! I’ve tried using a band and that worked out decently well. Def looks silly but I do mine from home lol
weight belt is really the only way. others are unstable and you're spending energy trying to hold those in place, instead of the pull up itself
I have this duffel bag where I can just put heavy stuff in and put the straps around my waist to do pull ups and it works really well
Thanks for the idea
That lap workout looks hard lol
bro you are insane
Wow. This changes the game
I use the dumbbell method.
You are very strong!
Dumbbell one is the best. You can drop it at one point and squeeze some more out without added weight.
Strong af💪🏽
Good show of strength 💪
But probably just use the weight belt.
Back pack with weights is a good one too
I just put on a sturdy backpack with weights inside and go to town
Yeah a backpack is good but I’ve had shoulder problems because of the straps and heavy weight.
Really impressive and motivating, I have been gym off for 10 days, I need that,. Thank you Michael
I use a weight vest, a loaded backpack, and leg weights and have no problems at all.
I use a backpack because the bar is too low for my legs to stretch
💪✌️💪awesome
he isn't doing a pull up, hes just pulling the universe up and down
This dude does pull-ups like he has no body to lift
You beast
Backpack?
Does a weight vest do the trick? Or because is a vest it hinders on technique?
I use a weight vest, a loaded backpack, and leg weights and have no problems at all.
How many kg is good too start but not too easy

Lap version is my choice but true it's not easy
None of those is challenging enough for me, so I do them all at the same time.

Try putting a dumbbell between your legs. I was going to show that one but I don’t have rubber dumbbells so I can’t drop the weight after my set.
You can grab a backpack, put some plates in them thats what I do it works 🔥
@@MichaelEckert I actually do them with iron dumbbells, sure they hurt quite a bit, but I’ve gotten used to them, and they are helping me so far. Thanks for your reply and I love following your content focused on pull ups - something that not many people are good at. Thanks!
Try putting on a weighted vest
How ab weighted vest
he is literally just tired of being so good at pull ups at this point its not even challenging to him anymore.
Where weight vest

This dude is super duper downsyndrome strong man
it rolled off fml
As if normal pull ups is not hard enough😂
What do you prefer most ?
Traditional belt!
If you got thunder thighs like me, you could try putting a weight plate between your thighs
I use a weight vest, a loaded backpack, and leg weights and have no problems at all.
Belt is very cheap like $15
this guy is literally doing pullups in his sleep
I am unsurprised that Mr Pull Ups has climbing equipment.
Or pull up a person
I only believe you because it's you 😂
Lol
