They were heading through the car lanes at Sumas Border. Not the truck lanes, which are at the right in the end of your video. How did that end up? Have to open up the gate?
It's a long drive to Brazil....yet , There is no road, not even a primitive one, across the Darién. The "Gap" interrupts the Pan-American Highway. Some 106 km (66 mi) of this between Yaviza, Panama, and Turbo, Colombia, has never been built. Road-building in this area is both expensive and detrimental to the environment.
The Ferry stop with COVID back in 2021, There is no road being built. It is not being built to protect North America from having a huge transfer of animal born illness. The GAP also is a barrier to the Boarder problems that the USA is dealing with, so the USA will not provide funding for this idea.

They will load the boat on a ship in South Mexico and sail to Columbia 👍 Drive the rest

There is a ferry or ship from south Mexico to Columbia.
They are also just now building a road and bridge through the Darien Gap. ❤️
