- I stayed at a secret base-like capsule hotel in Osaka. I tried a unique can-cake vending machine and had some popular ramen. The next day, I went to Universal Studios Japan.

I really like how this channel has no voice over narration and instead relies on burnt-in subtitles/close captioning to convey information. It makes for such a authentic and peaceful presentation. Keep up the good work.
There's another channel similar to this that narrates the same way: clear and concise subtitles.
I agree. I prefer the nonverbal. I don't feel like I'm intruding. 😊
Thank you for taking me to a country that I most probably will never have a chance to visit. It's like getting a slice of the flavor of Japan.
Those capsule rooms have a lot of floor space, I've seen smaller rooms that cost more. These rooms seem like a great deal considering it's location. I'll definitely check this place out if I'm ever in the area.
Thank you for your dedication to making these videos for us.
What I always think is very remarkable is the amount of respect people in Japan have for eachother. It was so quiet in that hotel.. Not only in the hotel but overall it seems so calm everywhere, even tho there are so many people. I really want to visit Japan at some point in the future and I am already looking forward to it
I miss Osaka so much. Kansai is by far the best part of Japan to live in. You have everything there, exciting cities (shopping, dinning, and night life), natural beauty, ocean and lake views, and so many historical sites to visit. I enjoyed the years that I lived there immensely. I'm married to a woman from Osaka and I have family there now.
The realization that pokemon is short for poketto and monster just smacked me in the face, it was so obvious lmao.
Wow - the canned cake is a thing of beauty! So much attention to detail and care, just like a lot of things you see in Japan 👍♥️
Reminds me of the old "KFC Strawberry Parfait" they had
I'm absolutely loving your content. I love the calmness of your videos with no talking, just subtitles. I'm also blown away by the cleanliness & attention to detail in the hotels you visit. I live in the UK, and our hotel companies are subpar in comparison & expensive too. I'd really love to visit Japan some day.
japan is one of my bucketlist.. please visit more the country side of japan! i think i watched one in your channel and i cant get enough of the country side.. its so beautiful ❤ keep it up! love from your neighboring country, the philippines 😊
Your videos are awesome. Thank you for the videos, of just someone going somewhere. Keep doing the no music, just traveling.
thankyou for the experience. i always look forward to every video you upload. makes me want to visit Japan very much! thankyou!
Cake and Coke and ramen. The trifecta of food perfection. Lol. That capsule hotel was more like what I've always pictured. Good for a night or two, then I'd have to escape! Thank you for the interesting video!
Another great video! So calming and relaxing. Thank you!
That dessert in a can is literally Trifle... In Australia we commonly eating at Christmas time. It is amazing. Not really a "cake" per se though.
Thank you for your videos I hope to go to japan one day and your videos inspire me to work hard for that goal:)
New video again thanks sir ❤❤❤and i love your vlog
I love it as always. It's great. Thanks for sharing it. 👍👍👍😍😍😍
Hello I enjoy watching your videos. It's very different pace compared to me in the Mid-west being a big field with roads and the occasional buildings, and corn fields, hills and a tree. Not even kidding. *sigh* anywho ♥ love ur work hope you are having a wonder day. Boop
These capsules are BIG!
How I love everything Japanese !!
A very simple but nice hotel, the can cake Is awesome and looks very tasty just like the ramen, I think it's a good idea that you can eat there undisturbed If you have so much patience to wait. Thank you for taking us with you, I hope you had a nice day at the USJ.
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. The can cake was indeed a treat, and the ramen was just as delicious. USJ was a blast!
I’m a Massive formula 1 fan and although he is not my favourite F1 driver, I have met and spoken to Yuki Tsunoda…. (I’m a Verstappen fan). I would go to the Japanese Grand Prix in Sazuka and then stay in Japan for a month and travel around the country sightseeing and enjoying the hospitality of the Japanese people and their tasty culinary delights! I’ve always wanted to visit Japan out of all the countries surrounding her….Thank you young man for showing us the things and ways of the Japanese people we would never get to see if it weren’t for your wonderful detailed professionally made video’s….. who ever you are…. Well done and again thanks so much, from here in London UK
8:08 amazing capsule hotel my favorite of course i stay here one day.😊
Great video! This is a place I want to go in a trip to Japan. I may not be able to include universal studios, but I might try. That capsule hotel looked really nice for the price.
The cake vending machines have come to Singapore some time back!
Love you're travels. Love Japan !
Thanks for taking us with you to usj! Harry Potter world looked exciting!
I really like the cake-in-a-can concept!! It looks just like a soda can, and is a great way to eat cake while on the go and without the mess!😊
Great place and many nice local spots.
You are one of my favorite channels! I've already seen all your videos and every day I wait for a new one❤
wow, such a lovely looking hotel! looks cozy and good for a small budget! A lot of space too for a capsule room! I feel i could stay in one and not panic at all. The treats and meals looked very yummy! I can't wait to try a cake in a can, see how that is! Osaka is such a beautiful city. Thank you for another relaxing and wonderful video! You have the best travel style channel on YT! Stay safe and wonderful! UwU
great video. really enjoyed it 👍
I absolutely love your channel. I wish I could have authentic Ramen. I really enjoy experiencing Japan. Thank you ❤
That cake in the cake looked so good! Wish I could have one. That capsule hotel looked calm and cozy. Also you have quite nice hair from your hairdryer shot. 😊
Thank you for another wonderful video.
Nice video. The price is really good, per night. Everything looks clean. Thanks.
If I ever go back to Japan for a visit, capsule hotels will be where I stay. You can't beat the prices, as well as the quality.
I really loved this hotel. ❤😊
It is inspiring how clean the streets are.
Fantastic location for exploring the heart of Osaka.
New american sub obsessed w the content!! Is the 2nd floor usually the main floor in Japan? 🤔 so much to Learn!
Yup, sooo many big and tiny details to understand. Fascinating culture and history..
Very interesting thank you for sharing 🥰🇦🇺
It's gotten so eat my Udon or ramen with your vids ! Nows where's my canned cake ??? LOL
I wish we had these types of things in our own country. I really like how clean everything is and how polite people are and very respectful of others in small shared spaces. We don’t get that where I live. Though I grew up with those values and it is a constant annoyance to go out in public and be confronted with simple selfishness and rudeness. I love the minimalism of the capsule hotels.
lovely videos I want to visit places like these too
cake look yummy 🤤
Wow I see they have fixed up the city since the battle between the Gantz-o soldiers and the monsters!!
Seeing your Cola bottle had reminded me I have a Super Mario Bros Ltd Edition Cola bottle imported from Japan......It is not made of glass but tin! I have yet to open it, I kinda don't wish to as it's so cool
Amazing my friend
Thank you
You're welcome
I would want to try every cake and pudding in that vending machine. Cake and pudding are my favourite foods🎉❤❤❤
Can't wait to arrive in Osaka on Nov 11 ❤️❤️❤️
cool vending machine
12:01 lol I love the screen on the left where the program displaying ads shut down and its just a Windows desktop🤣🤣
Also: empty your recycle bin.
WHAT 2 uploads in 3 days ME LIKE!!!!!! :D
Love your video from Hawaii. Hearing Hawaiian music @1:02-1:14
I like how the floors are divided for men and women to reduce the risk of creeps wandering about where they shouldn't.
This looks like what inspired the first 3 yakuzas world was based on. Awesome
Great video again! Love these videos that give us tips about about many type of hotels and also surrounding restaurants.
One question, was it comfortable? Speaking about ventilation, last time I went to Tokyo I stayed at a capsule hotel in the Ebisu area, but once I closed the curatins it got very hot, and there was no a/c inlet to ventialate inside my capsule. I jad to leave the curtain half closed and thenball people crossing the aisle cuold see me, losing my privacy. Bit uncomfortably to be honest. uncomfortable
Sending Love from America.
The wifi test made me actually laugh out loud hahahaha
How did you like your Butterbeer? I've had one at The Harry Potter Studio Tour in London, well Watford to be precise 😊
If they aren't alcohol, what are they made out of? Just a sugary drink like pumpkin spice?
@@remyllebeau77It's butterscotch-flavored ice cream!
@@Zeppelee Oh okay, nice.
OMG!!! When I see a new vid, I grab an ice cold Coca Cola, pour it, and wait for you to do the “rabbit ears” in a mirror.
Another great video. Japan is a unique country with traditions and restrictions. I have a question about use of communal washrooms. Are you allowed to use aerosol deodorants? Will they set off smoke sensors etc? Keep making videos😂
Nice ❤
I’d love to go to Japan. Lovely quiet capsule hotel.
We’ve been looking at your site as we plan our trip to Japan. You’ve given us lots of ideas. I’d like to make a suggested. If I rotate my phone to watch, the captions are cut off. Also, they frequently cannot be read when the background is light. Thanks.
@Experiebce JAPAN Hoping and looking forward to videos of 4 and 5 star (real) hotels
I wonder with the amenities bag, do you keep any of the stuff inside?
Fun
Amazing insights into Japan but there is no way I could fit or get so low down in a cubicle room I'll be booking a full sized room 😂❤
I like it lot's of love's from India 🇮🇳
I am a biiiig Harry Potter Fan and I am so jealous. But it looks like a lot of Fun.
That Spiderman display looks so cool 🕷
19:11 bardzo interesująca restauracja, ile takich dokładek makaronu można dobierać ? to typowe w Japonii? Zdrówka z Polski
In Europe we called this Hostels, they look nicer and cleaner in Japan than in UK, still I would stay away.
For $35-$45 per night you can find a proper en-suite room in a Hotel in Japan.
If you enjoy have your privacy, no point to pay the same for hostels where you are sleeping in the same space of other 10 people!
In December 2023, me with my family of 4 stayed at an Airbnb near Dotonbori
And we are planing to go to tokyo next, i've never been to tokyo.
aww you missed the opportunity to say "a shortcake, and a short coke" 😂
👏🤩
One reason you can sleep well is that there aren't any banging doors when people go in and out of their rooms. In cheap hotels, even if you have a room to yourself, that's all you hear all night and day. Was that cake really worth $7?
Weird question, but what is the shelf life on the canned cakes? Wouldn't they get stale?
the locks you set a pin first lock the door then scramble the dials or else you will be able to unlock it
Hi. I love your vids. I was just curious if you were Japanese or an American living in Japan? Please answer, Just wandering. Thanks and keep up the great work
but when do you select which size you are for the hotel pajamas?
You usually select the size of hotel pajamas at check-in or you can request a specific size from the hotel staff during your stay. Don't hesitate to ask-they're there to help!
Yes, we can...cake 😉
❤
Curious why the ramen sauce is often not consumed
It's often due to its high salt content. But tastes vary!
I thought the title said something "can cake wedding" or wedding cake made out of cans lol
hey, it is a crime not to finish the ramen soup. osaka, i remember it well from Gantz
Do u keep the night wear n slippers 🦄
Are vending machine food expensive compared to stores. Can you buy ready to eat food cheaper in supermarkets?
I adore that Japan makes allowances for women. Hotel floors for women. Restaurants that cater to women. I often travel alone and have been lucky not to have had anything bad happen. But in America, it is a fact.
That capsule room has quite a bit of space which isn't normal but it looks nice
Have you come across any more hotels with free food & booze? This one seemed to just have the bait minimum for a standard capsule hotel from the videos you have made before.
Thanks for the video, it was a lot of fun! A quick question, why is it called a secret base? I can tell that there's some kind of unifying aesthetic with the pressed wood, and so forth, but how does that translate to a secret base? Is it a cultural reference that I'm missing?
I think he was saying that the room, between its size and the stuff in it, felt like a hidden base.
Kind of like that first night or two you spend dug into a hillside in Minecraft. LOL
Do you have an Instagram also? Would it be possible to see double occupancy hotels and best places to eat?
I just left osaka 😅
t:20:24 it seems good but the small windows is like the prison..
Can we stay for 2-3 nights in this capsule hotel? Or only 1 night is allowed?
Of course you can stay for 2-3 nights
Everything is so clean in Japan. Here in America the people are disrespectful slobs.
Amazing videos! Great work!
Question: do these capsule hotels have lots of theft or sexual assaults?
