@@Askjorgelopez There is no limited Trim. If you're referring to the Platinum Plis lettering, that still doesn't count. I think Ford did this because they wanted to save money and make all of the tailgates mostly universal
I've seen the regular '24 Platinum with black 22" wheels also. 22s are not limited only to the Platinum Plus. The only difference is that you can onlyy get the 22s in black on the regular Platinum.

Love the redesign. Definitely the Platinum Plus, but I'm NOT happy that they did away with the tailgate applique. That's what made the truck look posh. The stamped tailgate with F150 looks cheap. I thought I saw one video where the tailgate on the Platinum Plus wasn't stamped with F150 and it had Platinum lettering on the tailgate. Is this an option? I lease a 2023 Limited, and unfortunately, if Ford keeps jacking the prices and going backward with removing popular items, then this will be the last Ford for me. Great video btw.

You should have compared it to a Platinum without the blackout package. That would have been a better comparison between trucks. But since you did, I like the blackout package. I'm pretty sure these are the only selections now. It's the blacked out Platinum or the Platinum Plus. They did away with the non blacked out Platinum without the light colored "Plus or Limited" style trim which I think is a huge miss. I notice some of the trims on the blacked out Platinum are just shiny grey plastic material and not wood trim like in the prior version like I have. I don't like the update at all.
Obviously they need the rear aplique. That’s what makes them look luxurious. And they need to work on making different front grilles for the top trims. I think the lariat and below trims grilles look way better.

Yes in order to keep up with the order demands and manufacturing for both stock and custom orders without delay, some features were not added to these vehicle because of chip shortage still maybe the 25's we will see something new.
I wish those heat extractors could be real. Darn. Do you know, are those side vents infront of the front door real, or also fake? I am leaning towards Platinum Plus but I do like the all black front of the Platinum much better, and I don't like chrome, so if I went PP I might do an all black chrome delete job after market, depending on that added cost of course, which I have no idea about. Though I'd make the door handles body colored. And I'd make the face of the tailgate all body colored. I love the design and added comfort of the PP seats, and I do like that smoke truffle color, though I do wish they could be all black like the P. I do prefer dual exhausts. Oh well. One thing I am torn about it whether to get the 5.5' or 6.5' bed. Any thoughts on how those two bed lengths drive compared to the other, on and off road? If I could play Mr. Potato Head, I'd put the max luxury interior of the Platinum Plus into the Tremor, or the Raptor, and add the hybrid Powerboost engine. Oh well. So many good choices, though.
Yeah upper heat extractors are not functional, however, the side heat extractors located in front of the doors function as intended. As far as the bed lenght technically should make it a smoother ride but the difference isnt really noticable but your max playload capacity increases. It'd be awesome if we could just mix and match Platinum parts on a Tremor, that'd be the ultimate truck.
Having a 2019 limited, I'm partial towards the platinum plus. And I prefer the look of the old tail gate badging as it set the truck a bit more apart from the rest. As for the pricing, not too bad considering msrp for my truck was $74k.

I always tell my customers that when they come in to check out these trucks, the top heat extractor is mainly a cosmetic feature rather than a functional one. While there are two functioning heat extractors on the sides, the top one is mostly for show. That’s why I mention it in the video as well.

The badging plate is much better for the tailgate. The Platinum looks like any other truck without it. I will not buy one if they do to go back to the badging plate. Why spend so much money for the same look as the XL truck?

I really really wish Ford would give the Plus more than ONE engine option. They are really trying to cut costs and it will backfire. At least have the EcoBoost and V-8 option. Come on Ford!

Yeah it has been a while that I have seen that type of interior in a truck, Ford should make a classic trim design that mixes all the earlier designs mixed in to a modern chassis. Maybe call it the Ford F-150 legacy

Go for the plus! The looks are much better although ford could have done a better job with the chrome appearance package but that would have taken the msrp up around the 90K. IT would be worth the extra 5K
Great video, I especially like the rolling option packages and the difference between power under the hood. Now, I just need to decide on Ford Platinum Plus or GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate. Gave me some tempting reasons to consider Ford.
I get some are love the rumble of the V8 I know i do but with this economy and gas prices going up would you think an eco boost would help on the gas. You get a bit more horse power while using less gas and are more realiable. I think thats why ford made the 3.5 the standard rather than the V8, maybe in the future ford will make this model.
I came out of a 22' Denali Ultimate to a Platinum w/ 702a and max recline (I didnt like all the chrome on the plus). I will never look back. The blue cruz crushes gm's version. I always thought GMC was supposed to have an upper edge, but even on the DU, when i shut my door... it just didnt have the "thump" that my F150 does.
What's the percentage of the USA & Canada parts and what is the Mexican parts for the f150 has to be the same as Rams 90% or GM 's 73% what is the parts content f150?? 😮

They might, but remember, if they add that option, the price tag is going to get as high as your insurance premiums after a teenage son learns to drive. Ford made the 3.5 standard because it’s supposed to be a luxury vehicle, like getting leather seats in a minivan-it just sounds fancier. Sure, the 3.5 has more horsepower, but if you're into reliability and consistent performance, the 5.0 is your go-to. It irks me that they took the beautiful wood interior trim pieces and replaced it with the plastic trim you find in the XLTs. I have a 22 platinum with the black out package. So Ford now charge $15k more for the platinum (not plus), took away the nice rear plate, got rid of the interior wood… shrinkflation has hit Ford.

First Ford wastes time and money on EVs that *the market does not want* (and they took a 4 Billion Dollar LOSS ON) and now they remove the V8 engines from the F150 line up??? I believe there are two reasons for this. First, Ford takes the opportunity to revamp the look to see what works and what doesn’t, avoiding selling the same thing repeatedly. Secondly, Ford makes changes based on customer demand. This year, many loyal customers love the tailgate applique and want it back. Fingers crossed, it might make a comeback in next year’s lineup. The black out package does give the vehicle a distinctive look oppose to the chrome look. But I think this year chrome package has been in a high demand. It give the high trim a very regal look makes your standout everywhere you look and the black out package really for people would like to stay under the radar.
They do actually, both of these truck in the video left this week the red one just left yesterday. But you wont see these on the lot too often these are custom orders.

I have been a Ford Man all my life but I think I have to go to GMC to get a V8. I think Ford is making a big mistake buy not offering a V8😢.. or I'll have to go to the 2023 F150 Platinum.
The reason they didn't offer the V8 in the Platinum model is that the goal was to create a luxurious, smooth, and quiet driving experience. However, if there's enough demand for a Platinum version with a V8, we might see it added next year. You never know!
The black one looks why better. I have a platinum and I try the platinum plus and doesn't worth, chairs are very bad and the color for the leather......no, that blue and gray or blue and black NO SIR

It's like going to a party and finding out they only have soda, no cocktails. What's the point if you can't get the good stuff, right? Sure, the other options might get you from point A to point B. I feel you-if it doesn't have that V8 rumble, it's just not the same. Keep the faith, and maybe they'll bring back the 5.0 when they realize some folks prefer their trucks with a side of growl!
Totally get it. If you love the sound and power of a V8, it's hard to give it up. Keeping your '22 until it's a money pit sounds like a solid plan-just don't park it over a geyser, or you might find out what a money pit really looks like! The new split gate is nice, I ordered the black one and it came in without the gate. I refused so they reordered…4-5 month delivery here in Canada
Which can tow more with the added heavy duty tow option package?

I really really wish Ford would give the Plus more than ONE engine option. They are really trying to cut costs and it will backfire. At least have the EcoBoost and V-8 option. Come on Ford!

Yeah it has been a while that I have seen that type of interior in a truck, Ford should make a classic trim design that mixes all the earlier designs mixed in to a modern chassis. Maybe call it the Ford F-150 legacy

Go for the plus! The looks are much better although ford could have done a better job with the chrome appearance package but that would have taken the msrp up around the 90K. IT would be worth the extra 5K

Great video, I especially like the rolling option packages and the difference between power under the hood. Now, I just need to decide on Ford Platinum Plus or GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate. Gave me some tempting reasons to consider Ford.
I get some are love the rumble of the V8 I know i do but with this economy and gas prices going up would you think an eco boost would help on the gas. You get a bit more horse power while using less gas and are more realiable. I think thats why ford made the 3.5 the standard rather than the V8, maybe in the future ford will make this model.
I came out of a 22' Denali Ultimate to a Platinum w/ 702a and max recline (I didnt like all the chrome on the plus). I will never look back. The blue cruz crushes gm's version. I always thought GMC was supposed to have an upper edge, but even on the DU, when i shut my door... it just didnt have the "thump" that my F150 does.
I guess we agree to disagree. I went from Ford to GMC with no regrets. As for the V8, takes me back to the 70's and 80's, love the exhaust rumble.
Ok, ok… there is no substitute for that. I was just disappointed in the build quality and some small logical issues.

I think Ford didn't get a lot of demand for the long bed in the platinum in the last few years for this trim model.
For the price and the difference to be honest I’ll take the regular platinum in black, the plus is just a lot of Krome to keeps clean 😂

i have owned many pickup trucks, all fords I have seen the big improvements in every new generation I ordered mine from ford and loaded up with many options like powerboost, fold flat seats unleashed sound system panoramic sunroof blue cruise

I love my 2021 3.5 Turbo. I use Amsoil and change my oil every 3,000 oils cheap, plus I have an oil separator.

They might, but remember, if they add that option, the price tag is going to get as high as your insurance premiums after a teenage son learns to drive. Ford made the 3.5 standard because it’s supposed to be a luxury vehicle, like getting leather seats in a minivan-it just sounds fancier. Sure, the 3.5 has more horsepower, but if you're into reliability and consistent performance, the 5.0 is your go-to. It irks me that they took the beautiful wood interior trim pieces and replaced it with the plastic trim you find in the XLTs. I have a 22 platinum with the black out package. So Ford now charge $15k more for the platinum (not plus), took away the nice rear plate, got rid of the interior wood… shrinkflation has hit Ford.

Why did they remove the tailgate applique panel from these (almost 6 figure) trims? They look cheap now in my opinion.
I believe there are two reasons for this. First, Ford takes the opportunity to revamp the look to see what works and what doesn’t, avoiding selling the same thing repeatedly.
Secondly, Ford makes changes based on customer demand. This year, many loyal customers love the tailgate applique and want it back. Fingers crossed, it might make a comeback in next year’s lineup.

The black out package does give the vehicle a distinctive look oppose to the chrome look. But I think this year chrome package has been in a high demand. It give the high trim a very regal look makes your standout everywhere you look and the black out package really for people would like to stay under the radar.

I have been a Ford Man all my life but I think I have to go to GMC to get a V8. I think Ford is making a big mistake buy not offering a V8😢.. or I'll have to go to the 2023 F150 Platinum.
The reason they didn't offer the V8 in the Platinum model is that the goal was to create a luxurious, smooth, and quiet driving experience. However, if there's enough demand for a Platinum version with a V8, we might see it added next year. You never know!

The platinum plus is dated and looks cheap, the platinum looks elegant and clean
I think both look amazing, but the seat in the Platinum Plus offers extra comfort with its cross-stitching. Who knew such a small detail could make such a difference? I invite you to test drive one so you can see what I mean!

I am getting mixed reviews on it I know half including myself miss the applique on limited and above models.

It's like going to a party and finding out they only have soda, no cocktails. What's the point if you can't get the good stuff, right? Sure, the other options might get you from point A to point B. I feel you-if it doesn't have that V8 rumble, it's just not the same. Keep the faith, and maybe they'll bring back the 5.0 when they realize some folks prefer their trucks with a side of growl!

Totally get it. If you love the sound and power of a V8, it's hard to give it up. Keeping your '22 until it's a money pit sounds like a solid plan-just don't park it over a geyser, or you might find out what a money pit really looks like!
