That was different. I'm a big fan of Ray Stevens. But the version he did for the Get Serious soundtrack was much better. For one thing he changed the line about speaking in tongues. That seemed a little disrespectful. He once said that he didn't write it about any specific family. But one time he was a presenter at the Dove Awards. Vestal Goodman said he was singing about them.
I can do this and imitate Ray Stevens, everybody says I sound just like him, watch the movie Ray Stevens Gets Serious, I think they could have done a better version of the Dooright Family on that movie, this is funny here and a good job these young people did.
