Great video. All first cuts are heavy here in tipperary. I was talking to friends today he cut silage. The man cutting told him first cuts are heavy

Hi gerry just curious, why use two mowers and a swather instead of mowing and rowing up, is it more efficient. BTW love the way you film.
Thanks for the question. Using the swarter leaves the most even row for the jf900 to lift. Tedding and rowing up leaves it lumpy and tends to be very hard on the harvester.
Have ye ever thought of puttin a front links in the 69 and gettin a front mower instead of runnin 2 tractors?

Brilliant video Gerry fantastic out fit of machinery are you happy with the trailed mower would you have trailed over mounted and what's your view on raking will you still rake or do you put it into twenty's lot of questions hope I haven't totally wrecked your head 😳
Raking dosnt suit the jf harvesters. It’s hard on slip clutches. Other then that I probably would tedd and rake it if needed. I still think it’s hard to beat a trailed mower. The price of them is the killer. You could buy front and rear mounted for less then what our trailed.

Jerry would a silage wagon not suit yerselfs they have come a long way and there handy to zero mow if ye added a out front mower
It would suit but the expense to purchase one is the issue. It would cut down on labour required. The jf is still a good option
@@gerry6420 i know there a shocking price if u could pick up a farmer owned machine it wouldnt be bad money spent i think at the cost more farmers will try to do there own nothing at all wrong with yer pull behind its yer own and costs ye nothing

Im looking at a 3128 mower . Are they a good mower.
Yes a good mower. If they have a down side, they stick out a bit in transit on the the road but they are a cracking mower to cut grass. Well built machine.
Would a 115 case manage it OK?. Are they heavy.?
