How do you clean under? I guess during the time a lot of things fall between the plates through that 6 mm gap. Unscrew one plate or two, clean and mount them back?

There is no need to clean the bottom; as long as we slope the bottom a bit, the water will naturally drain away. As the gap is not that big, there are not a lot of things fall down.

What kind of floor do you recommend this to be built on? Concrete? If so, how thick do you recommend the floor to be?

Concrete is better, if not, you need can raise the joist by some post or pedestal.

Normally the joist is 40 x 30mm, it can be hollow aluminum profile or solid WPC profiles. The most common wpc deck is 140 x 22.5mm, and length can be customized

Good question, better to make a slope of 2-5 degree under the deck.

Different question - Can this be laid without the joists?

@@VincentGRyan As there is slope, water just goes from the space between the joists. And joists are required for composite decking.

Oakio decking is waterproof. If water falls on the decking, it will drain to the ground.
