Remington was a company that usually just followed other companies' trends rather than coming up with their own unique designs but the Rolling Block rifles were their only guns I know of that were innovative on their own and not just essentially a copy of something someone else had already done. Great gun to have.

Not sure I'd go along with that statement, the Nylon 66 was quite ground breaking in its own right.
