Jane Freer
(London?, c.1740 - c.1790)
English amateur composer. Nothing is known about her life except what appears on the title page and in the preface of her collection of 'Six sonatas for pianoforte or harpsichord'. The title page states that theses Sonatas were composed by Jane Freer, of the Founding Hospital of London (the place where she raised and educated from infancy), and printed for the Proprietor & Sold by Preston, at his Wholesale Warehouses, 97 Strand. These Six Sonatas appear to be written at the time of transition from harpsichord to fortepiano and they are all in the typical format of three movements, fast-slow-fast.
💐🎄🎹💎 STUNNINGLY MAGNIFICENTLY masterpiece....💎🎹💕💐❤️💐❤️💐❤️ THANKS!🙏 FABULOUS video! 🎶🎶🎶🍷☃️🎉🕯🕯🎄🎀
Barbara Harbach, who edited Freer's sonatas, says Freer was a BLIND composer. 😲 Hats off to this blind female composer in the 18th century! 👏👏👏 Harbach says, " These sonatas are an excellent alternative to Mozart and Haydn sonatas. "
Ohh really? My hat off as well!
Very poorly transcribed.
