@nitrobenz1694 an opening sunroof is a must for me. I'm not a fan of just a view. I want the air and sun too. This was one of the reasons why I had gotten an EV6 GT over the Ioniq 5 Limited or 5N.
Hi 🇬🇧 here, Mine is being delivered next Friday (17th) RWD Ultimate trim (I think that's your Limited trim) 4 year lease but through salary sacrifice, this means taken from your monthly salary BEFORE income tax so you don’t pay tax on that portion of your wages. No deposit & home charger included. Servicing, MOT tests, tyre replacements and insurance for 3 named drivers all included. £6 ($7.30) to fully charge overnight. I know it's nice to own your own car and I've never leased before, but I’ve only ever bought 2nd hand cars as never been able to afford a brand new car. At least I'll never have any unexpected costs or worry about depreciation. Not for everybody I know but I'm looking forward to this new experience 👍
2:04 Again, I already wrote this under one of the older videos. The time has not changed from 18 to 20 minutes due to the larger battery. It is the same size as the 5N and the version for other markets also has a larger battery. It is related to NACS version of the charger unit. The versions using the CCS1 combo for the domestic market or the CCS2 combo for Europe, India, Australia and other countries still charge 10 -80% in 18 minutes.
I must have missed your previous comment. I didn’t notice that other markets still do it in 18 mins. I really don’t understand why the NACS port would change that
No hunt for me as I’m one year in on a 3-year lease of a 2023 IONIQ 5. However, I am anxious to view your journey with the new car. I’d love a video detailing charging on a Tesla charger with an adapter with your 6 or your IONIQ 5 if you still have it when that goes live. I hope dealer “negotiations” don’t drive you crazy!
Right on with the Limited AWD decision! 👍 The loss of sub-trunk space to the subwoofer and no MOR-EV credit is a slight ding against it but the Vision Roof and extra visibility features are well worth it, IMO. Look forward to seeing where to up eventually find one... 👀
Glad you decided to go all in on the limited and all wheel drive. You know you're going to love it. We have the 2024 limited all wheel and sticker price was nearly $62,000. So it looks to me like prices have come down. We love the car and already put 25,000 mi on it. Florida.
I have a 24 limited AWD and have loved it from day 1, but I’m in love with the dark interior. I do have 2 girls who love their snacks keep testing my patience on cleanliness. A light interior is not my first choice.
I just picked up my 2025 AWD Ionic Limited, Atlas white with a light grey interior. My first electric car. Very happy and very excited! Got a great 13 month lease. The dealer called me yesterday that this one had come in unexpectedly. I'm so glad I got there before the guy who had an appointment after me.
Glad I went out early and dropped a 500 deposit to claim one. Only seeing the Digital Teal/Dark Green coming in near me where I like the black more and they where able to get one sent over for me next Friday :). So pumped about the 7.5k off didn't think that would still be there 40k with my trade in which is a good deal for whats going in lol. Luck everyone else hunting!
I got my 24 SE RWD Long Range from McDonald Hyundai and was very happy with them. Great dealership. You can even take the train from the airport...almost...to the dealer (about 4 miles away). I'm sure they'd be happy to pick you up at the station near them.
The combination of the Federal tax credit and the Hyundai discount make this seem like a fantastic deal. Unfortunately for me, they'll start showing up in Florida mid February after the Hyundai discount is gone, and maybe the tax credit, too. I think I'll keep what I've got for now.
Can you explain more about how purchasing a car out of state works with the incentives available in your state? I’m guessing you aren’t able to take advantage of the Colorado incentives. Is that right? Do you get to access any MA state incentives? MA does have $3500 for 36th month leases applied at point of sale. I’m also curious why you would prefer a 24 month instead of 36, with the extra incentive.
Really looking forward to hearing about your experiences the 2025s. I have a 2024 with a 13 month lease up in a year and hope to get one then. I went for the ‘24 instead of waiting so I could assess the QC after the first year building in the US. I truly hope you and all others braving the waters have an awesome experience this year. Hopefully the new administration doesn’t impose a luxury tax on all EV that aren’t Teslas in the meantime. 😬
I still don't understand why we can't option the blind spot monitoring on the SEL at least. Can it be added in? Has anybody tried? Or they should let you order the Limited with smaller wheels, geez.
Happy hunting! I’ll be curious to see what issues you may endure with an early production MY2025, built in a brand new factory. Canada gets 2025 IONIQ 5 from Korea for the next few months, with CCS ports for charging. The XRT will be the only US-made IONIQ 5 in Canada to start.
Corbin, At about 3minutes 21 seconds in the video there is a screen up that shows the HOV icon and and says "Drive solo in car pool lanes where available" Take note as a Massahsusetts driver EVs are NOT allowed in the HOV lanes unless they meet the same rules as ICE cars, more than one actual human passenger. I was told by my dealership that EV's could use the HOV lane and they pointed me to a website where it was confirmed. the website page hadnt been updadted in 6 years. The Mass. State police help clarifiy that for me on rt 93. in Boston.
I've claimed a Limited AWD that will arrive around the first week of February, here in Illinois. Quite a few will show up in northern IL and IN around then. No dealer markups but no customer incentives, no mention of the $7500 Hyundai bonus either. They only offered me $17K for my '22 SEL RWD (7K miles/pristine) so it looks like I'll be ringing up carvana/carmax to sell the '22. They're offering $26K for similar I5's, around Chicago. Heading over to the build it site to see how long delivery would be buying via the Hyundai website. Your site has been so useful to me the past few years, Corbin. Thanks!
Assuming Hyundai carries over the $7500 cash incentive in February, the dealer has to give it to you. It’s a Hyundai offer, not the dealers. If you’re paying cash or bringing your own finance assuming Trump doesn’t dismantle the credit in two weeks, you can also collect the $7500 federal incentive so $15k off!
@@TheIoniqGuy Are you able to talk any dealer into giving you the 15k off? All the dealers I talk to here in Texas are saying there is only 10k off on the 2025s.
When I bought my 2024 AWD Limited, the dealer claimed the $7500 required dealer financing or leasing even though I wanted to pay cash. I pointed out that’s not what the website says, but it wasn’t until I said I was leaving that they finally caved.
Why couldn't they put the chargeport on the driver's rear? Electric Principal charged his new 2025 at a Version 3 Tesla dispenser with no issues. He also went to a EA CCS, used his CCS to NACS adapter to successfully charge.
Sorry, I disagree unfortunately, on Hyundai motor group all wheel drive cars efficiency goes way down and complexity goes up that mechanical disconnect when the front motor is not needed could be problematic in the future since it is a moving part versus to me the superiority of simplicity and just having one motor with a lot more range and probably less maintenance down the road I do wish though that Hyundai would include the heat pump on the rear wheel drive models and apparently even on the 2025 they will not have it.
@@netvids1 That's really a shame to hear. I have the 2023 AWD Limited and I love it! As I'm a bit older (64) I find the comfort features mean more to me. Having gone on several cross country road trips, the electric vehicle is reliable and comfortable. In the 2025 model, I hear they have moved away from the two years of free charging. Sorry to see that as well. That was the one feature I used to talk my wife into the purchase! Blessings!
Happy to learn all the deets from you! Question. When building your Ioniq 5 on the Hyundai site, it shows the MSRP of the trim you choose. Does this price have the eligible $7,500 CA fed tax credit rebate included? And second question. I read that Hyundai offers or offered in Southern California a $10,000 lease cash incentive on all trims on 24 and 36-month leases, or $11,000 with conquest cash. Have you heard anything about this or was this for the 2024s? Last question, I am interested in a single pay lease on this vehicle. Thoughts or read or hear any information on this subject? Thank you and you're doing a great job!
Love your channel., just recently purchased a low mileage 2023 Ioniq 5. Could you please provide a video prior to January 15th to get us ready to use the Tesla Supercharger? I already have my adaptor but would like to know steps for setting up the Tesla app etc. so I have a total understanding what to expect on January 15th, 2025 when I pull up to that Tesla charger. Thanks.
They now offer the dark green interior with abyss black exterior. Doing a search around the Philly area I don't see any I5s with dark green interior arriving before February.
I have some cousins who live in Colorado and am super jealous of their EV tax credit! There were some insane deals out there last summer, like a base Leaf for roughly $500 down and $25/month! They bought an Equinox EV last summer and got a pretty good deal on it. If you buy out of state you should make a road trip report!
I'm in the market for an IONIQ 6 SE. Would love to get RWD because of the 342-mile range but there aren't really any here in Philly. Probably will get the AWD. Edmunds' editors' pick is the SEL, but I dunno . . . 270-mile range doesn't sound worth it.
I got an Ioniq 6 SE RWD in November, and am very happy with the car so far. But it does seem that the RWD cars are being shipped mostly to the south, so I'm not surprised that you aren't finding any in Philly. That said, some dealers will trade and bring in a car from another dealer for you -- so you may to see if there are any dealers around you that might be able to do that.
If you can charge at home take the free charger. People who can charge at home should do everything they can to take advantage of that benefit so they don’t congest public chargers.
Not to mention that, at least in my area, public charging costs 4x compared to my home rate. For me and my gas prices, that raises the cost of public fast charging to that of our current ICE car. Naturally, YMMV.
I am from Belgium, the trims here are diffrent. I chose the core plus n line edition. There is the core, core plus, plus n line, balance and balance n line
I'm working on a Limited AWD here in NJ. Excited for my first EV. Disappointed NJ incentives cap at 55k MSRP so the Limited misses the boat. Not sure why NJ picked 55k for everything when federal credit was 80k for SUVs and trucks. Interesting angle on the 7,500 federal on tax return later assuming it survives.
I called my local dealer yesterday and yup some are coming but so far very very little limited spec so far and on the inventory search I cant even look for gravity gold 😦. i hope its just coming later and not hyundai deciding to not give orange county, ca area that color.
Great news my local dealer, which apparently is the biggest ioniq dealer the US in Van Nuys California isn’t getting them for several weeks to maybe March . Price obviously has to come way down to Tesla levels.($44,900) before federal incentives that will probably go away in 2025 for what is to me the most competitive trim line the limited to the Tesla model Y RWD glassroof but features that Tesla does not offer hope the USA build quality is as good as the Korean levels. and being a new car and new factory, I would wait till they work out all of the bugs i’m sure there will be some .And Hyundai if you’re reading the comments, please ASAP put the heat pump in the rear wheel drive cars. Like you apparently you do in the Korean home market and larger front storage space in theUSA models.
Do you know any dealers in SoCal doing the bonus cash and federal tax credit together (Double dipping)? I already tried one dealer, and they said they'd apply the bonus cash, but I would have to do on my own the paperwork for the tax credit. I thought the tax credit is done their at the dealership. So, I'm not sure if this is accurate information from the dealership.
What do you mean here when you talk about "double dipping"? Do you think you can get the federal EV credit on top of Hyundai's? From what I've been told, it's still not eligible for the federal credit because the new plant isn't yet using US-made battery.
I was told they are having supply chain issues on getting the US-made battery, which is why Hyundai is still offering their own $7500 credit. Presumably their deal will go away once the car is eligible for federal credit.
Do you know what is/will be happening with vehicle-to-load? Will there be an outside adapter, or just the outlet by the rear seat? And only on the Limited trim? Has Hyundai or Kia said anything recently about two way charging (vehicle to home-grid)?
Vehicle to load doesn't change. They're releasing a version of the adapter with a NACS plug on the end of it. All trims of Ioniq 5 have V2L but just like previous years only Limited gets the rear seat plug and if memory serves the new XRT gets it as well.
@ OK, so an adapter can fit any of the trims. The adapter is not listed as a feature or an option on any of the “build” or window stickers. We would really like our next EV (current 2019 Niro EV) to be able to plug into our house. I am jealous of your upcoming buying trip. When I got the Niro new it was a real adventure. I drove it for the first time out of the lot in the dark into a rain storm.
@@TheIoniqGuy Do you have any information about when the V2L for the 2025 Ioniq 5 will be available? I am interested in it, but Hyundai's web site has no mention of it.
It is an odd thing to use as a selling point. I've had my I5 for almost a year and the wide turning radius still bugs me sometimes after decades of owning the same size cars but with better turning.
Hoping good news on my preorder by pre Thanksgiving... Order was pulled, still waiting on vin#... And with vin# expected delivery.. Still hearing late February.. But maybe this means sooner.??? Thanks as always!... Jim
I will say they’ve definitely made the SEL more appealing for 2025 versus what they did for the 24 model year where they basically removed every feature
Like other commenters, I say go for the top-of-the-line Limited AWD. It's perks are worth every penny. I wouldn't suggest the "N" version, unless you really and truly intend to take it to the racetrack.
Do you know if now that the Ioniq 5 will have a NACS port if owners will get a free adapter for charging at CCS chargers? I know they just announced giving out ones for CCS ports to charge at Tesla Superchargers. Just wondering if new owners will get the same, but opposite treatment.
This will be interesting then, one of if not first non-Tesla with native J3400 port onboard since supposedly Hyundai are getting access as of mid-January.
Im in Texas. Looking at a Limited AWD Lucid Blue myself. Still can't decide between the black or gray interior though. Any thoughts on that? I was debating flying to one of the Colorado delaerships but am also looking into shipping options as 1,000 miles seemed a lot to me! 2,000 is a lot more though!
These are really hard to get at the moment, I had a pretty bad time trying to find a 2025 they are on some dealer websites but when I contact them they say they are already reserved and when I ask them how I can reserve one they won't say and try to sell me a 2024 (because its a better deal) this was about the same story at 3 different dealers. Another dealer said they won't be getting them for another 2 or 3 months. No luck so far.
I had to get pretty persistent. Was talking to a dealer a week ago and then they went and reserved to someone else. Talked up another dealer, same thing guy calls me back and says whoops someone out in a deposit 2 hours ago but I can still take your money for a maybe trade for end of Feb, he shared an allocation sheet with a VIN destined for a rural dealer, called the rural dealer and put my name on it. They were super nice and don’t mess around with deposit money, you have 7 hours to get the car!
Little confused there myself but think the 7500 lease offer is the pass thru of the rebate.. Not 15k,though would be sweet ... Lol... Still hope leases well when get actual pricing next mo
Eliminating the two years of electrify America was probably the biggest con I currently have a EV6 GT and we don't even get that unlimited 2 years we only get 1,000 kilowatts and I'm already used half of it because of the terrible range the car gets
@@TheIoniqGuynot yet but I will. I did the math and it’s spot on based on a residual of 38961. So it is 59940-38961-10000+6100 / 24 I have over 5400 in taxes alone, plus registration, title, doc and a $50 “evr” fee 24/12k
I think normally you only pay the portion of the tax leased but since I am in a state that has sales tax and am buying in a state that does not they might have calculated the entire tax in. I will ask
I have my name on a Limited AWD in Digital Teal for Jan 18th! Super excited, trading in a 10 year old HR-V. The federal credit comes through next years taxes right? Or is it an instant rebate?
@@TheIoniqGuy So you think dealers will give both the $7500 for “Retail Bonus Cash” *and* the $7500 for the EV Credit at point-of-sale? I’m finding it hard to believe since wasn’t that bonus cash supposed to offset the lack of credit eligibility? If it’s something where Hyundai is still offering it assuming it will go away, but they need to remain competitive, I could understand that. But the double-dipping feels too good to be true.
Im a little bummed we got the 23 Ioniq 5 sel. After driving my family’s ev9 with the upgraded infotainment and meridian sound system I really wish I would’ve held off until now for wireless CarPlay and manual battery preconditioning and gotten a limited. My Rivian also has a glass roof and I wish our ionic had one.
Thanks for your very informative videos. One point to clarify. I don't believe that you can combine the $7500 2025 Ioniq 5 Hyundai rebate and also receive the $7500 Federal rebate if one is paying cash. Since the Georgia battery plant has yet to open the Ioniq 5 does not qualify for the Fed incentive unless one uses the lease loophole. In the lease case you don't get the Hyundai rebate, so in either case there it doesn't seem double dipping on both rebates is possible like you said in this video. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Would love to get confirmation on this. I did hear it qualifies for the full tax credit, but not certain you can get both. Was on the fence but if you can get both, makes the decision much easier. Thanks!
I purchased an ioniq 6 in 2023. Fourteen months later, the error code ( stop vehicle and check power supply). The car was at 64% charge. I was driving the car. It went into turtle mode and lost complete power. It has been ar dealer over a month. The diagnostic was ICCU failure which resulted in 12volt failure. Those parts and software were replaced. The service department said the car would not go into drive or reverse. It needs a drive motor. I am Currently still waiting.
can anyone confirm the source of the information that the EPA has added the 2025 Hyundai Ionic 5 to qualifying vehicles for the full $7500 tax credit. The website does not show an update .
I just saw this and removed that part from the video as to not add to the confusion. It would make sense that it didn't qualify as it didn't sound like they were going to have battery manufacturing ready for the launch of 2025 Ioniq 5.
@@TheIoniqGuy the GV70, EV6 and EV9 are still listed. Aren't the battery sources similar? There was talk of mitigating potential dealer confusion, or trying to delay the 15k combo on Reddit. I was talking to a dealer in Colorado for a limited AWD but now I mightwait to see if any come closer south. Not sure if or when those would trickle down though. This sudden change has made planning a bit difficult.
I really struggle to understand why Hyundai would give a crap. They’re giving their own discount, what do they care is a customers also gets a federal incentive? They’ve eaten that discount for roughly a year now and it’s not like they’re selling 2025s in volume yet.
That's intentionally misleading. They want you to think they are about to take it away so when they do have inventory you are more likely to buy it before it changes. There is a chance that there is a huge demand surge where they no longer feel the need to offer that. I assume they also won't offer that if you are buying one that already qualifies for the EV Tax credit because it was built in the US and qualifies based on the resources that were used to build the battery.
@@TheIoniqGuy I think they've only been offering the discount because it didn't qualify for the tax credit. Now that the 2025s are built in the US, I can see them removing this incentive because 2025 models qualify for the $7,500 tax credit.
@ you’re the minority since every customer wants floor mats and most don’t care if they are carpet or not. But they are always extra cost and included on 98 percent of vehicles shipped.
Since you're the inside guy, maybe you can clarify. I just stormed out the dealer because my "less then 30 minites ICCU recall" would take 4 hours because there was a second open recall (one I cannot find). They told me it would be up to 2 hours for each recall. Does each recall truly take two downloads and two installs??? Would there be a single latest build that could be downloaded in advance at the dealer?
@@nfuenmayor no becase the paperwork I received from Hyundai stated less then 30 minutes to update, so I was going to wait at the dealership. btw the ICCU recall that was announced literrally one day after I'd been in for the first ICCU recall (don't call that fixing properly)
Just saw the 2025 at my local dealership no limited yet but the SEL at least has the same crash ratings for side and rollover not rated yet or frontal. Hope it gets five star across-the-board like all Teslas that would be a competitive move interesting parts sourcing, seems sort of very inefficient Obviously some from South Korea still US and Hungary? visually looking at the car in real life just very subtle changes like wheels front and rear bumpers and of course, the rear wiper and of course the interior is very different and best news of all efficiency looks the same as the 2024 so even though the ranges increased efficiency is still 114 combined MPGE RWD models according to the window sticker I saw. so I think the big mystery here is playing out throughout 2025 is can they be price competitive with similarly speced model Y’s. I keep asking if the 25s will get free years of charging and the reps keep telling me they don’t know.

I decided to get the 2024 in the top trim level. There were some great incentives on that year. Leasing too. Looking forward to your 2025 reviews.
Nice! What dealer did you lease from?
Safford Brown Hyundai Fairfax in northern Virginia
Glad I went out early and dropped a 500 deposit to claim one. Only seeing the Digital Teal/Dark Green coming in near me where I like the black more and they where able to get one sent over for me next Friday :). So pumped about the 7.5k off didn't think that would still be there 40k with my trade in which is a good deal for whats going in lol. Luck everyone else hunting!
Sounds amazing, the car are you gonna get. Super excited for you enjoy.
I love the central console of the '25 model. The IONIC 6 has this huge console in the middle that seems so weird and impractical.
Love my limited. Being 6 foot 5, the only issue I have at my age is getting down to its level. Inside is so roomy!!
We flew to Montana of all places to get our 2022. They were the only dealership that would sell to non local without a huge markup.
We now see the 2025 version on the canadian website but it looks like we have the same colors as last year. Thanks for the video, Corbin!
Me too. Have had my 2024 a couple of weeks. Wonder what the price difference will be on leases.
Great call on the all wheel drive! 😈
I still don't understand why we can't option the blind spot monitoring on the SEL at least. Can it be added in? Has anybody tried? Or they should let you order the Limited with smaller wheels, geez.
Yes, the Limited with smaller wheels and no sunroof. I suppose it sounds odd to most people but that is what I would like to
The teal color for the win.
Corbin,
At about 3minutes 21 seconds in the video there is a screen up that shows the HOV icon and and says "Drive solo in car pool lanes where available" Take note as a Massahsusetts driver EVs are NOT allowed in the HOV lanes unless they meet the same rules as ICE cars, more than one actual human passenger.
@@TheIoniqGuy Illinois offers $4K for EV purchases, too. I got it for my '22. The discount window for '25 opens 1/21!
The irony is, you won't need an adapter, but you'll need an extension because they kept the port on the wrong side for V3's.
Which all weather mats are you going to get?
LinerX
Does it come with a NACS V2L Adapter? Is output the same?
Why couldn't they put the chargeport on the driver's rear? Electric Principal charged his new 2025 at a Version 3 Tesla dispenser with no issues. He also went to a EA CCS, used his CCS to NACS adapter to successfully charge.
no mention on the website of the XRT.
Get the Limited AWD! As we say in Texas, "Go for the whole enchilada!!"
Thank you and you're doing a great job!
jeeze, if I could actually double dip and with my trade in would bring it to 26000. Would be nice.
Good move going with the Limited. Get the AWD version. It's the configuration I was looking for.
Will we get the Ioniq 5 N DK?
Great video as always with a lot of good info. Bit of an unrelated question: Would your auto-locking device work with a 2020 Kia Niro?
It would but I don’t have installation instructions as I haven’t had any time with a Niro. Send me an email and maybe you can help figure it out
Have they added a retractable electric sunroof?
Do you have any concerns about buying one of the first cars made at the US plant?
Where is the xrt trim?
Is the SE and SEL still missing rear air vents like the 2024?
I am from Belgium, the trims here are diffrent. I chose the core plus n line edition. There is the core, core plus, plus n line, balance and balance n line
How did you get the lease payments price for a limited AWD? Mine keeps defaulting to a limited RWD
What is shown is for RWD. You just have to assume it’s a little bit more than what’s shown
I'm working on a Limited AWD here in NJ.
The 2025 Limited RWD I ordered will be at my dealer 1/26.
Location? Ordered mine in Nov.. Dealer said order was pulled but still waiting on vin.. Once have that 4-6wks..target late February(I'm in de)
The GV60 only has over 300 miles on the rear motor only version.
9:55 that says 339 for Limited RWD
OK, I see now you've touched on this issue elsewhere in the comments.
Shiny new car
I am interested in it, but Hyundai's web site has no mention of it.
they are on the Canadian site also. to bad our Gov is cutting the rebates
Don't you have the "n line" trim in the USA? We have that here in Aus. Looks way better imo
I'm waiting for the Ioniq 9.
Why advertise the long wheelbase? It increases the turning radius. I wish they would reduce the turning radius.
This car could really benefit from rear steering
It is an odd thing to use as a selling point. I've had my I5 for almost a year and the wide turning radius still bugs me sometimes after decades of owning the same size cars but with better turning.
Hoping good news on my preorder by pre Thanksgiving... Order was pulled, still waiting on vin#... And with vin# expected delivery.. Still hearing late February.. But maybe this means sooner.??? Thanks as always!... Jim
Will be super interestes in your trade in value for the 2022
I’ll be selling it not trading it in. I’m going to get close to 25k
I was offered only 17K for my pristine '22. I'll sell it privately. Carvana and Carmax are offering 25K^ in Chicago area
The limited is great, but the SEL is an SE with lipstick and a higher MSRP. Personally I think the SE RWD is the best option for most people.
Yes the car will come with one
This will be interesting then, one of if not first non-Tesla with native J3400 port onboard since supposedly Hyundai are getting access as of mid-January.
Im in Texas. Looking at a Limited AWD Lucid Blue myself. Still can't decide between the black or gray interior though. Any thoughts on that?
I was debating flying to one of the Colorado delaerships but am also looking into shipping options as 1,000 miles seemed a lot to me! 2,000 is a lot more though!
Will the 2025 be subject to ICCU issues?
🤷♂️
So you can double dip with the 7500 when it comes to leasing or buying the car?
Little confused there myself but think the 7500 lease offer is the pass thru of the rebate.. Not 15k,though would be sweet ... Lol... Still hope leases well when get actual pricing next mo
Right, the additional 7500 would only apply if you paid cash or brought outside financing.
Eliminating the two years of electrify America was probably the biggest con
I currently have a EV6 GT and we don't even get that unlimited 2 years we only get 1,000 kilowatts and I'm already used half of it because of the terrible range the car gets
My 2025 Limited AWD ended up at 740 a month with $1000 down. 10k lease cash and $6200 taxes and title
That seems really high. How many miles per year? Did you pull the trigger?
@@TheIoniqGuynot yet but I will. I did the math and it’s spot on based on a residual of 38961. So it is 59940-38961-10000+6100 / 24 I have over 5400 in taxes alone, plus registration, title, doc and a $50 “evr” fee
24/12k
I assume I pay all of the taxes etc over the 24 months? That works out to 258 alone.
Pretty sure it’s supposed to be point of sale now but I think you can choose to file it during tax season
I was hoping Hyundai would offer the Ionia 5 in red.
Listed as eligible on IRS: fueleconomy.gov/feg/tax2023.shtml (Ioniq 5, 2025, $7,500)
It was announced last week that all 2025 Ioniq 5 qualify for the full credit
Would love to get confirmation on this. I did hear it qualifies for the full tax credit, but not certain you can get both. Was on the fence but if you can get both, makes the decision much easier. Thanks!
It's confirmed. Dealer spoke with their regional sales rep.
@@TheIoniqGuy oh man! Sounds like I might finally be making the jump.
Are all of these 2025s made in the US?
Yes except for the 5 N
I purchased an ioniq 6 in 2023. Fourteen months later, the error code ( stop vehicle and check power supply). The car was at 64% charge. I was driving the car. It went into turtle mode and lost complete power. It has been ar dealer over a month. The diagnostic was ICCU failure which resulted in 12volt failure. Those parts and software were replaced. The service department said the car would not go into drive or reverse. It needs a drive motor. I am Currently still waiting.
Lemon law!
Hopefully dealership markups are a thing of the past?
Yeah these aren’t going to be marked up. They’re already discounted by $7500
@TheIoniqGuy that's good. Much different situation than 3 years ago that's for sure. I considered myself lucky to get mine at MSRP!
Yeah same
I’ve ordered ( in the Netherlands) the red metallic color. You can’t order the color according to this video
can anyone confirm the source of the information that the EPA has added the 2025 Hyundai Ionic 5 to qualifying vehicles for the full $7500 tax credit. The website does not show an update .
A post on reddit said that Hyundai asked them to pull it off of the website for now. There is an ongoing debate as to why.
The seats still have a seam in the middle.
Hyundai's $7,500 offer says "Must take delivery from new retail stock by 2/3/2025", but dealers near me won't have inventory 'till after this expires.
They’ve been offering 7500 off for almost a year so it’s unlikely to change next month
Don’t forget to add like $200 for floor mats 😊
Yeah I love paying for accessories I don’t want
@ you’re the minority since every customer wants floor mats and most don’t care if they are carpet or not. But they are always extra cost and included on 98 percent of vehicles shipped.
Since you're the inside guy, maybe you can clarify. I just stormed out the dealer because my "less then 30 minites ICCU recall" would take 4 hours because there was a second open recall (one I cannot find). They told me it would be up to 2 hours for each recall. Does each recall truly take two downloads and two installs??? Would there be a single latest build that could be downloaded in advance at the dealer?
They are two separate items and yes, it will take upwards of 4 hours. I think mine took about 3 hours
You Stormed out because they want to fix your car properly?
@@nfuenmayor no becase the paperwork I received from Hyundai stated less then 30 minutes to update, so I was going to wait at the dealership. btw the ICCU recall that was announced literrally one day after I'd been in for the first ICCU recall (don't call that fixing properly)
We had both recalls completed in about two hours. It depends on whether they actually start working when you arrive for your appointment.
Had the 2 recalls done this AM. 2 hours.
Wait and get the Ioniq9
Maybe I’ll get both 😏
one like that coming to Nashua 2/21/2025. check it out.
If you fly to MN let me know and I'll be you a beer!!!
The Colorado state tax incentive dropped to $3,500 on January 1.
Saw another video (by Electric Principal) that you can now manually enable battery preconditioning by pressing a button. Is that a new feature starting with the '25? Excerpt of the video here: th-cam.com/video/00UebO1-cvk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=m7HCYxCK61h9phhR&t=204
Yes, only on 2025 but I've been pushing Hyundai to add it to older Ioniq 5/6
Are you going to purchase it outright? Leasing deals on EV's have dried up in 2025. That makes getting into an EV a much more expensive proposition.
