Isn’t it produced in hypothalamus and released by posterior pituitary?
You are right
Yeahhhhhh
He has thought that already but he is talking about the nuclei within the hypothalamus that produce the hormone itself.
I think you a right
The hypothumus gland is near the chi flow of the palm on between the palm of hand and feet are hypothalamus muscle in the hand and foot in between is the chi flow of energy ❤
thank you for sticking through the whole process of making this video
،
Next week I have a physiological exam, and your videos help me understand and save time
Thank you more than tons for all of your videos... It's incredibly educational, appreciated and generous!!!
Great video, as always!
As a side note, what he is describing at 13:50 is Sheehan syndrome.

As per how you drew that baby facing upwards inside the uterus, it's gonna be hell of a delivery, lol
Anyways, love your videos, man.
I was born with my head facing upwards lol
Breech presentation. Poor mom!
Hahah! That baby is not stretching the cervix, that baby is closing his way out!

Ninja Nerds! Getting excited for science!
My body is producing oxytocin for you ........cause you explain so beautifully 😂😂❤️❤️❤️
I can also explain too, so your body can produce oxytocin for me too.
Thankyou so much bro... You so Clever... ❤️
thank you so much it's very helpful
Why are you so amazing! Tell me what I can do for you to make more vids. How can I support?

Have been trying like mad to find a simple way to explain hyposecretion and the use of pitocin to augment labor in my birth class but really needed the refresher. This was PERFECT. I think I'm going to use a stuffed uterus and maybe straws to represent receptors.
Phenomenal lecture 👌
the human body/ mamal bodies are astonning. what is also astonishing is that we've figured out how some of these mechanisms you are explaining work. How?? haha. Human ingenuity is really something to behold.
Could you mention the effect of antipsychotic meds on the secretion of oxytocin from the posterior pituitary gland?
What about oxytocin as a neurotransmitter in the brain and its role in dopaminergic activity ?
I'm just gonna say my favorite part of this video was that uterus drawing lol Great content though! these videos are awesome supplementary content for anyone in med or nursing school
God bless you Doctor!
Would the positive feedback loop created during childbirth be an example of hypersecretion of oxytocin?
Yes
hypersecretion would indicate an abnormal amount of oxytocin being released, so I don't think so, since the positive feedback loop would be working as intended.
Many many many thanks Ninja
Thank you Soo much
Very helpful sir 👍
Thank you!
Excellent 😊
Zack can you do more vid on mental health and we need more videos about Maternity Super thank you!
Thnxx... It helped me alot😊😊😊

Thankyou sir

TnQ sir♥
Please can you do other physiology lectures like on GIT and brain and netvouse system please please
Me and my wife we secrete a lot of this oxytocin by scratchy caresses specially on our back after a few minutes you get tears and deep breathing involuntary and very very relax
THANK UUUUUUUU
gud job!
Amaaaaaaaaazing:)
When oxytocin is released, it’s presents isn’t selective, or is it? That same hormone would still hit the uterus without a baby? Curious
love your vedios
If one is low in calcium or other electrolytes, can the hypothalamus inhibit Oxytocin production?
My guess is oxytocin would be the least of your worries if your plasma levels of calcium or other electrolytes are very low (especially if this is associated with severe dehydration). But rather than the hypothalamus actively inhibiting OT due to the deficiency, I would say that the nerve conduction would be impacted and therefore result in sub-optimal OT secretion + signalling. Fear, anxiety and stress (and the pathways associated) can inhibit OT synthesis, however.
Sir plz one vedio
Topic:- Psysiological responses of exercise in hot conditions
Do you have the chinese charecter for "love" tattoo'ed on your back?
SIR
YOU ARE SO AMAZING
Good topimaster.👌
😅👍👍
10:49 Am I the only person who noticed that wink? 😭😂
Student Midwife here... your videos are getting me through my degree haha
really like your vids but my vocab is just too narrow to understand all the information =(
Hello, what lowers oxytocin, does dopamine inhibit it, or serotonin . . .
if you isolate urself your oxytocin levels will drop and it will cause anxiety
I love your videos - but you're stressing me out with that complete footling presentation - in labour no less! 😅
Please can this oxytocin open up the cervix while in labor because I have c section before but I don't want another c section again because am scared
You said the baby is stretching the cervix - you know (I hope) its actually other hormones effects on the uterus causing contractions (labor) shortening the longitudinal muscles and lengthening the vertical muscles of the cervix. Not the baby ;)
It's a breech baby?
best
6:38 I think the suckling should be on the aureola and not the nipple. Right? Not sure.. 🤔
♥
Intercorse in the mid of 2nd trimester can cause utrine contration and harm for baby to cause miscarriage due to oxytocin that naturally release during foreplay????
Progesterone is secreted all through the pregnancy state. Progesterone demodulates Oxytocin receptor, ensuring carrying the baby till term if there are no precipitating factors that can induce Labor.
During Labour, there's an abrupt drop in Progesterone, and concomitant peak in oestrogen. This modulates the action of Oxytocin receptor, and causes expulsion of the products of conception.
