Yea. After seeing Yuri's origin story, I was hoping we'd get to see something about Nanno. So hopefully, we'll get Nanno backstory in Season 3. Hopefully, we don't have to wait 2 years for it though. :(

I don't know I feel like if we know, it won't be nanno anymore,the fact that she has no background or whatsoever add to the mystery and also if we knew it would distract us from each moral every episode teach us.

Because in season 1 she's not the same nanno every time, in order to make her target feel insane, she act really a specific role.
(with the pedophile she act in love, with the girl who write on wall and the entire class who bullied her, she acted innocent, with the poor guy she act like her rich and psycho friends).
So that's why it's hard to see her as compassionate as she is one and several person at the same time.
But to follow you I think I saw somewhere she was the embodiment of karma, daughter of Satan and i think that would explain certain things.

Idk 'bout you guys but i think Yuri is a good addition in the story. She's literally the definition of what Humans will do if given the power. And to think that she became more greedy and impulsive makes her perfect for defining the negative side of human nature.

Personally i think Yuri was a GREAT addition to the story. She added more spice and depth to Nanno, because if season 2 was exactly the same formula as season 1, just Nanno going around taking revenge, it would get old quick. Yuri added opposition to Nanno, she was more evil than Nanno so she made the audience love Nanno even more. And she also made Nanno and audience question if Nanno's really doing the right thing here, how does one have the right to judge everything. And Yuri helps us learn more about Nanno's complex mind, with Yuri there to challenge and be an ostacle for Nanno, we can get a chance to see how Nanno view another fellow Immortal, one who she may have to fear

Unpopular opinion, I think Yuri is a great addition, and she's supposed to be annoying.
In the 1st season, people were satisfied with Nanno's punishment and believed that bad people deserved it.
However, I also believe that many of us feel sorry for some victims thinking the punishment is too harsh.
Now, Yuri comes and makes us question Nanno's judgement which for me is brilliant.
No one is too powerful to be questioned.
Yuri never made me question Nanno's action...actually in every episode I always questioned Yuri's naive and sadistic actions. Have you noticed that Yuri welcomes death, even kills Nanno like nothing. Imo giving Nanno a sidekick was kinda unnecessary. She acts like she is helping but she is there to just derail Nanno's plans.

Not rlly, not every human is the same? She was rooted on revenge before her death, her lack of empathy grew more and more during her times as human. Before she was killed she said she will take over the girl’s business. The guys she hired to kill them were one of the rapists too. This why Nanno called her dumb. Yuri waited so long for her to get revenge but now shes doing the bad guys a favor by making them die quicker.
@@mollybloblue7891 she wasn’t a bad character. she added so much to season 2. without yuri in, i feel like this season would’ve had no extra spice or difference from season 1. she challenged nanno and even made us question nanno’s actions. i don’t like yuri as a character cause i love nanno, but she was definitely necessary in this season, and the finale was brilliant. it really made us yearn for another season to come.

Nanno’a character is definitely based on Tomie by Junji Ito. There are so many scenes and death scenes from Tomie. I wish the director of this show makes more Junji Ito inspired shows.

Tomie is next level. Nanno is rather toned down version, less gory. Definiely there are similarities tho.
Knowing how Nanno works, she probably planned everything. She's exposing how humans, when they get a taste of power, becomes greedy and would do the most heinous crimes just to monopolize that power for themselves. She could just be stringing Yuri and Junko along, making them believe they've won and have become invincible and cocky because they were able to kill an immortal being. But as the saying goes, every action has a corresponding consequence/karma. It's just how Nanno is. Nanno is Nanno. 😉

So after watching Girl from nowhere season 2, i now know that nanno can be vulnerable too like Lucifer. Nanno becomes invulnerable when she is vengeful, but when she's guilty and affected by the person and for her actions, she's becoming more mortal.💔

Did you guys notice in S2E4 when Yuri gave her mom a brand new phone, Nanno was looking at Yuri the same way she looked at TK? I think she was developing feelings at some point but then we find out Yuri was genuinely evil and was trying to take Nanno's place. I personally felt Yuri was irresponsible though. Nanno gave her a second chance and she betrayed her like that, even to the point where she gave the power to Junko and all others just like that. Lucky I watched season1 a week ago, everything is too fresh frome there. I'm a little dissapointed with season 2 though. I was expecting TK and Nanno, instead we got annoying yuri that mess up everything. I love nanno since she gave everyone a chance to change but end up still wrong most of the time, however we got a yuri season 2 who kills everyone in one go, no drama, no twist and turn just all dead. The girl who played yuri is amazing however I would prefer a season 2 without yuri at all.

Honestly I think the addition of yuri was the best decision. She added a conflict to the story, which made it more interesting. The whole premises of yuri was to show that even the weak and vulnerable can be evil. Once they have the power, they are no different from those who are evil with power. Yes, they might have had a sad and pitiful backstory, but that does not justify them to kill. If we all became our own judges, we would kill anyone we like by our own reasonings even if it may be not right. A world with this is bound to end no good. That is why Nanno purposely brought yuri in and let her greed take over even though she’s immortal to show how humans’ greed are the pitfall of humanity.

In my opinion adding Yuri character in this series makes the series really spicy, intense and unpredictable. More over that in the last episode adding junko character also a good choice. I hope s3 will be more intense and full of suspense.
If they make s2 just like s1 it would be a predictable storyline , just like 1st and 2nd episode of s2 . But adding twist and turns makes this series a masterpiece.

GUYS I think Ep 1 happens after EP 8, Because Yuri thinks Nanno is dead in ep 8, then she finds out Nanno is still alive and she is Coming back for her, as seen in Ep1's ending "See You Soon" written on the wall in blood, with Red Ribbon in the floor. Thats definitely Yuri. (The story line isnt linear, not the way the producers showed it at least)

the timeline still wasnt fully linear, Yuri's ep was 4 but it was the earliest time, the first time they met, then ep 2 was Yuri after her revival but hvnt confront Nanno yet. Then ep 3, minni and the 4 bodies, was Yuri and Nanno's official face to face meet after Yuri's revival. ep 5 6 7 8 was in linear time i think. Than Ep 1 happens after Ep 8 i believe, because ep 1 shows how much Yuri despised Nanno after finding out she was still alive, thinking she died in ep 8. So shes coming for her, as seen at the end of ep 1 "See you soon", and red ribbon on the ground

I finished watching the series and I was wanting more. Thanks to the internet the series is gaining fame and it is well deserved, it is simply surprising in a good way. Looking forward to the third season.
I prefer season 1, season 2 yuri mess up everything. Yuri actually destroyed what is amazing on season 1. Yuri just finished everything and end up kinda boring, no twist and turn at all. BTW where is that theive guy nano helped on season1?. I want that guy and nano be really friends again.
@Lalisa Onika Grande yep, the season 2 is a good watch, the part that is boring is how yuri dealt with everything. She is like a very good novel with rushed ending. What I love with season 1 is that Nanno gives everyone a chance to change though most of the time failed. Nanno way actually what makes the drama really sweet in crazy way. However season 2 we got executioner yuri, no heart, no drama, just dead.Honestly in every ending of each S2 series i'm WTF Yuri, what did you do, the series is good and you mess it up. Yuri actress is actually amazing however I would prefer season 2 without Yuri....

Yuri fails where Nanno excels in character execution because she's too focused on playing executioner rather than judge. Nanno's focus is to make people feel the consequences of their actions rather than revenge while Yuri pushed her to make a harsh judgement like with Jane. As an antagonist Yuri holds water but not as a likable character.

he end of the season, Nanno starts to humanize and empathize with her victims a lot more. She’s moved by this Mother/daughter relationship on more than one occasion. In episode 4 she sees Yuri and her Mother, freezing in the process

Actually when nanno bleeds it doesnt lessen her from being immortal unless she did something forbidden. Nanno is karma, and obv she's trying to fake her death just to see Yuri satisfaction. Still don't know what really the reason is but this is just my conclusion. Let's wait for another season, I also want an episode where she really came from and how she become like this and why she keep doing this

For me the order of the eps in linear storyline order is *Ep 4* : Yuri and Nanno first meet, followed by *Ep 3* : At the end of this Ep, Yuri meets Nanno outsise of the lift and thanks Nanno for reviving her, hencing meaning this is their first misson together (tho Yuri went behind Nanno's back to get Minnie to kill herself, becuz Yuri is impatient, like Nanno says in a later ep), then *Ep 5 6 7 8* (sidekick to betrayal, Yuri watches Wann kill Nanno), then *Ep 1* : Yuri comes back after Nanno after realizing shes still alive, then *Ep 2* : Yuri crashes into Nanno's shoulder at the end of the ep on purpose, shes back..
Now I think 2 happens before 3, I'm not sure Tt
Wish Netflix will invite Bambam or Minnie to be a guest of this series. It will be great. Actually need Lisa but its not gonna be happened.

Not quite as charming as Season 1, but there was definitely a lot of originality and surprises here. I hope Thailand continues to push the envelope and step outside their circle of comfort in terms of storyline.
That Season 2 cliffhanger though. I think we've been set up for a Season 3. It's gonna be one hell of a mess if they're going around giving immortality and power to everyone who has been victimized and have turned evil.

I just have to say, that what I like about this series is the craftiness of nanno. Yuri just take away the fun by killing the people immediately without letting them suffer. I'm turned apart as to how I feel in the series as a whole.

These 2 characters in this series can’t be more based. They literally reached the peak of being based af and I think that’s so cool.

Woah the last episode I was so sad at the end I really thought Nanno was dead only becuz her wound from episode 7 didn't heal. But I'm so fucking happy to know she didn't die. She was shown sitting at the very end and narrating. Plus the actress that plays Nanno has posted on her Instagram that Nanno is daughter of Satan/devil so Nanno ain't human so she defo can't 'die'. But I really don't want Yuri and Junko to be the main characters if there is a season 3. Not that they are bad but I'm just too attached to Nanno. But Nanno says in the end is she necessary in the world anymore so it is a possibility that either there won't be another season or Yuri and Junko will take place of Nanno. As far as Nanno's origin is considered, well the title states Girl from *nowhere* so there are low chances to know her backstory. Bye I had to let it out haha.
Edit: Also Yuri was purely evil. She didn't deliver karma. She wanted to kill people and helped Junko. Also I've read some theories in comments it could be possible that Nanno is testing Yuri and Junko.
Edit: Also personally I do want TK back. But I don't think that'll happen. I think it was just another episode of a school but they wanted to show another side of Nanno in it.
Edit: I saw another theory in the comments it could be possible that the Nanno Yuri killed was a clone of Nanno. Since Nanno is immortal anyway plus she isn't human she has powers she probably knew what Yuri would do so she might be just tricking them.
I love nanno too and I wouldn’t mind her having a partner. She seem to really like the girl who played Jenny X and of course yuri before. It will be cool if TK or someone else could be part of her army. Nanno is showing more emotion but I would do too. She’s been doing this shit alone for who knows how long. Yuri could of been it but she mess it up
