Thank you so much! Did the vinegar-soda-hot water thing and worked. The water was moving very slowly and I thought that it wasnt working, but then we read somewhere else that we should try a rinse cycle and we did that. Everything cleaned :)

Thank you soooo much! This fixed it. Much appreciated as I can't afford to get someone out to fix it or buy a new one, what with it being close to Christmas. So am really super grateful.

This worked perfectly for me, I used 500ml of vinegar and 5 teaspoons of bicarb and a kettle full of boiling water and now the dishwasher appears to be working away merrily again. Thank you very much

Did you mix first then pour it down and let it sit or did you add directly to the dishwasher and pour hot water on top?

    > tried it, problem persisted, so used a blower to blow into the small whole after removing all filters, seems to have worked :) if you try this make sure a) dishwasher was stopped and disconnected at drain part of the wash cycle b) you block the water spray holes with plastic bag or something to cause air to press towards drain c) sponge dry all water before trying this as otherwise it can spray back into blower d) understand fully and try at your own risk

Baking soda tip not helpful if there is a pool of water in bottom of washer.

you could just scoop or sponge it out.

Not sure how this is supposed to be helpful as the dishwasher in the video is dry

    • @lolavan7750

You would need to empty the water from the bottom of the dishwasher manually with ever smaller cups and finally kitchen towels.

and it doesn’t even look like he uses actual baking soda- there is no reaction when the vinegar is poured into it

Is it advisable to pour drain cleaner liquid into the dishwasher, specifically around where the water should drain out, or is this liquid too corrosive?

    • @und4287

baking soda and vinegar.. when has that ever genuinely unblocked a drain? The treatment that actually does work is an enzyme-based drain treatment.

This is not how to fix it, this is one solution that _might_ fix one specific problem.
