I have found that many of the great craftsmen also make many, if not all, of their own tools. At minimum, they modify tools to fit their own hand or a particular style they have. Thanks for the video. Great piece of work as always!
@@ashleyanderson2859you really have to, most of these tools are so specialized that nobody could make them for you. Thank you for checking out this video.
Gonna go bladesmithing wery soon as I always wanted, so I can make my own tools for carving, also. Because I really love to carve in wood. Although, I'm an painter artist. In the end I love all branches of art... I like your films, and special tools. 🙂👍
Thank you Ivanhoe, once you learn how to temper steel the sky is the limit. Good steel is all around us, l save all my old files and springs for making tools. I have a coal forge for bigger things but also have made a mini propane forge for smaller tools.
The mini mallet is a great addition to the tool box, thank you for that. I've done some bone carving and my favorite carving is made by a Japanese carver, simple piece of grass in the natural history museum Let s Angeles CA check it out! Cheers.
Thank you, I made that a long time ago for something I don’t remember, but I did remember it for this job and it was just the ticket. I’ll see if I can find that carving as l love Japanese art.
