Since it's smooth. I would guess not often, there's nothing to snag your hand on and be pulled in. A lathe is probably far, far more dangerous than this.

Hehe,after 20 minute,it could not improve the mixing result.The color had not changed after.
That happens when the mill is 400% overloaded. as a veteran from the rubber industry I can say that even learners can see the inefficiency of this factory .

Seems to me it would be quicker to combine the pigment mats first and then add to the white big roll.
I think this way it is more throughoutly mixed.

For those who were wondering. The OP posted they were for sanitizer holders. I am assuming it’s those colourful ones that hooked on to backpacks and purses and etc.

Wonder how hard it would be to produce a specific color pigment.
Just a little to much of a added color and the pigment would be off.
Very little could actually change the whole color.
I thought silicone was mixed and cast. I’ve seen rubber processing with similar roller machines. Does this silicone need to be heat cured to retain a certain shape?

Different grade of silicone rubber for pouring and casting. This rubber sheet for things like tubing, sheeting and injection moulding.

What happens if you add too much pigment to one small measure of silicone?
Actually,we just want to add less as possible.If we add more,the color will be very close to the pigment.
My guess is that theyd add more of the white to dilute the pigment to the right color, though it might be more cost effective to start over and lose a smaller amount of material rather than have excess material, depending on the end product amd such.

Our colleague work there for 10 years every day.Actually there is 20 CM gap between the smooth rollers.
Moral : if you mix all colours in a France flag it will become purple. What a indirect troll to France😂

I wonder how the air bubbles are removed.
The roller is so heavy to remove the bubble.
they get squeezed out. sometimes where I work (tire factory) some people will fold the ends to make a big bubble, then once squzzed in the mill it sounds like an explosion when it pops.
How much the cost of this machinery?
