Rebooting the router (via the admin interface) probably does the same as a power cycle. The key thing is to flush the routing tables - and either method should do this. 🙂

I had the same problem and what I found out is hard wire your TV with cable and don't use wifi bluetooth also disconnect Apple Play on your Mac and make sure you don't connect bluetooth
Every time it rains, the weather seems to make the modem go slower. After a rain, I restart my modem so it gets back to the faster connection (DSL and cable both slow down when it rains)
There could be a problem with the cable between the street cabinet and your house, normally this happens if there is a water getting to a cable join, contact your internet provider and tell them that your internet goes slower in the rain and get them to investigate.
After you performed the speed test you got lost in your wifi talk and did not comment on your 33gb speed on your firestick is that okay or not?
