One pin in the lift bracket allows it to bend to give you your FLOAT action that you need. The second hole will LOCK the pivot and give you down pressure on attachments, You'll start breaking things you don't want to.
Any chance you know how or where the return spring should be located for the brake? I got a 1450 but can’t figure out where the spring should go. Thanks!

I'm sorry I don't remember and I sold my 1450 a few years back there is a group on Facebook called cub cadet fever. Some one on there can help u out
