Pairs running along beautifully, and Bondy sat there thinking 'this is worst feeling pair I've ever been in'

Because he's only rowed one other pair in his life eh?

      Haha, the "slowest" pair, maybe,
It is interesting to note the back end, all pairs holding the knees pressed flat to let the boat run evenly throughout the entire back end change of direction.
      Such poise.

Bow pair is the fastest pair on the water haha, wonder what'd happen if they transmuted them up to stroke and moved the others back one

@@Tom-vu1wr You think so? I rowed lightweight so fair, we could switch now and stern technically the soundest guys. Weight factor to keep a lighter bow makes more sense for heavyweight crews.

How do they know that they don't have any obstacles behind them 🤔?

When I row on a course it’s easy. I keep myself centered in my lane and whoever is in front of me needs to alert me or move out of the way. Rowing along the side of a river or lake I’ll turn my head enough to get a glance and try not to upset my rowing motion too much.

You can turn your head while you're in the most powerful part of the stroke right as you're hanging big after the catch. It's the most stable part of the stroke, during the drive, and the head turn will cause the least amount of damage. Your coach also guides you through major shit, and you king of take 10 stroke gauges farther out and it's easy to keep your line once you know the river/lake
