"ignore the cheesy story"? I just got into Diablo a week ago for the first time in my life and, being a person who usually doesn't get too involved into game stories, I am blown away by the story-line.
But D3's story was a departure from previous games. It had more of an action movie tone, rather than a medieval horror. They even killed one of the most important characters in the franchise, in the most pathetic and anticlimactic way possible. Plus the writing was absolutely horrendous. Thankfully D4 looks to be a giant step up from D3's lackluster storytelling.
No, no no no no no no no NO! I hate when reviewers say ignore the story. A story is objective, just because you did not enjoy the story doesn't mean everyone else wont either. I personally liked the story, and need story to push me through the game. Ignore the reviewer when he says "ignore the cheesy story, and just kill things". God I hate when people skip through storylines...
If you enjoy the story great but honestly you have to admit how cheesy it is at the end of the day no matter what. I thought it as a sort of a cartoon like storyline
My 1st platinum trophy on the PS4. Just amazingly epic. Loved the story and characters as well as online and co-op game play. So much content and many many hours of gameplay.
Funny how pro PC this guy is in his review. I mean yeah I know PC people spend a lot of money on their machines. But people with consoles are not lesser people.
Hopefully I am getting this for Easter! I played Diablo 3 on last Gen for like 4 hours only and I was hooked. It was a two day rental, but from what I was able to play, I loved it!
Dude it totally is. You can spend hundreds of hours with it and still get new gear. Adventure mode is unlimited, regenerating dungeons so yes, it is very worth the money. Hands down the definitive diablo 3 experience!
Played the vanilla version when it first came out on PC and it was broken as shit. Got bored with it really fast. I just happened to be in the PS store and saw it was being released so I was like wth I'll try it again. I was looking for a game to hold me over till Destiny. The game is very fun. Paragon, rifts, torrents, bounties, and the whole anticipation of your next piece of gear and the joy of seeing a legendary shine bright on your screen is great. The control mechanics are great as well. Overall it is a fun and I enjoy playing it.
The only thing I REALLY would like is the possibility to give loot to friends... maybe if they are registered as friends for like... a few months, you can trade loot.
I already own Diablo 3 and reaper of souls in pc, but I am still gonna pick this up. I play pc more than consoles, but playing this game with a controller just feels better.
Just bought this the other day, and this is the most bizarrely easy action game I've ever played (after being a huge fan of Diablo 2 back in the day). I had to bump up to Hard mode when I noticed my character barely took any damage from anything, and whenever it did HP refilled near instantly. Then I realized it's just the same in Hard mode, only enemies die slower. So far at level 30, after killing the Act 1 boss with no effort, I just feel like I'm going through the motions here. Weird game.
i really do love the game n find the multiplayer to be a gamechanger, well deserved rating, and the story isnt too bad and i enjoy the bits of lore behind it all and the bosses are fairly well drawn to look evil
A few complaints about the console version. When your couch buddy stands idle for a second off screen he gets teleport automatically (it should be dedicated to a button like L3) There has been many instances where he would port into a group of mobs I'm fighting and die in one hit (hard lvl 1 act 1). Another thing is trying to power level your couch buddy is nearly impossible in hardcore. I would have his level 1 character start act 1 on hard/hardcore and my lvl 20 would hop in to help then some elite freeze/lighting mob would instantly kill him in one hit. Lastly targeting an enemy/open space is random and inconsistent which can get you killed.
reaper of souls fixed most of the issues since launch, its a pretty good game now and i do recommend it as it offers you over 100 of hours of gameplay, it doesnt get boring anytime soon :)
Should I buy this game even though I haven't played the first one I have seen some gameplay and it looks interesting to me. I was just wondering if I should get this game if I haven't played the first one. Suggestions?
I have never been a fan of the Diablo series but I just started playing it with my girlfriend on her xbox 360 and I'm having a great time. I'll definitely pick it up for my ps4.
Beyond! Looking forward to this game, mostly because vanilla Diablo III has me bored even though I haven't maxed out my level. Hopefully adventure mode spices things up more than wandering around the same old areas I ran through earlier but now with slightly stronger foes.
No pun intended I played the living hell out of this game on PC, and really enjoyed my stay there. However, I just tried it on XboxOne and the controller really fits this game well and I am having a blast all over again. Also, I played this on PC when it came out, and there have been a ton of changes since then.... I really am enjoying this and can't see anyone not having fun with this game. Highly recommended.
Knight Of The Fallen Nope, it's the truth. You can ask any Diablo fans out there, and 80% of them think so as well. This game is a decent hack and slash RPG, but is a mediocre Diablo game.
Just wondering, is there going to be a collectors edition? I mean, I already have the RoS CE but still, a Blizzard game without CE feels kinda wrong haha ^^
So I would I be right in saying this is the best version of the game you can get? I have Diablo 3 on PC without the expansion. I was thinking of picking this up as a co op game for the PS4, would Diablo fans say this is the best version or should I get my friends to buy the PC version?
It depends. I believe when IGN reviewed the original version for PS3/360 they liked it better than the PC version because the combat seemed to flow better.
Consoles & PC can't play with each other... So decide with care ^^ The Basic Content are the same... So what you see in the video here, is what you get.
Nathan Roberts the PC version of any game will always be the better version to get (if your computer is good enough to always handle games without problems that is)if you wanna buy this game to have a co-op expierence throughout the whole thing with friends online or irl then go for it
Hey, I was wondering, as a new player to Diablo 3, should I start on Hard or Expert difficulty? I prefer a challenge.. I'd really appreciate it if you could give me some advice.
Im thinking about just jumping on this game now for PC, is it still worth it or has the community moved on? Probably gnna be playing with random people
Guys, I have a gaming pc (gtx 1070, ryzen 5 1600, 16 gb ddr4 ram) but I really want to play Diablo 3 with a controller. Been playing Van Helsing on pc with a controller and I prefer it that way over keyboard and mouse. Much better for long hours of gaming. Also I'm programming an ARPG/Sim game and wanted to get a feel for what the controls are like with a controller so I can program the same or something similar. Plus, I can also play Path of Exile for free on console with a controller. The PC versions of D3 and PoE don't support controller because a lot of the gameplay, etc. are not tweaked for controller. So do you think it's worth buying an xbox one S now and get D3? It's fairly cheap (£190 on Amazon). I have a 27 inch 1440p monitor with hdmi port. So I know I can use it with the xbox. What do you think? Worth it?
I'm new to this whole genre, I've played things similar to this years ago but that's all. I'm thinking of getting this when the price drops, is that a good idea?
I hate to ask but, does it get repetitive after playing the Diablo 3 campaign or is it varied and different after each playthrough, plus I know this sounds stupid, but does Adventure mode require Xbox Live Gold
should I get this game? I am very picky with rpg's I like the 1st dark souls, dragon's dogma, transitor, bloodborne, darkest dungeon, and certain indie rpg's
so if i get the diablo 3 UEE for xbox 360 it including the game diablo 3 ? can i lvl with 3 other players finding them online ? also is there any pvp in this game ? no point playing it if u get hard gear but u cant do nothing with it expect killing mobs :/
I have never played any of the series but my friend was telling me about it the other day and said the 2nd one was really good.... only game I really played at all like an mmo was star wars the old republic.... I mostly play sports, spy, Shooters, Racing, Rpg type stuff so this is new to me... from that will I like Diablo? Thanks guys any suggestions welcome
That's not bad : 9.2 / 10 with 4 pros and only one con. I watched this to see either how good / bad the story was or how good / bad the gameplay in general was because I'm hoping to get it for XBox One tomorrow (the day after Easter Sunday 2015)
Im going to pick it up, and controller feels nice but K+M has an advantage with certain spells and ranged attacks, with controller they only go to the nearest mob in the direction your pointing in... but 1000+hrs on pc 1000 more for ps4 here i come..:-)
Can someone explain in a way that any person could understand how to get my 360 characters to the one. The guy said it was easy but idk if it were so easy why can't I just put my characters on cloud?
"ignore the cheesy story"? I just got into Diablo a week ago for the first time in my life and, being a person who usually doesn't get too involved into game stories, I am blown away by the story-line.
But D3's story was a departure from previous games. It had more of an action movie tone, rather than a medieval horror. Diablo 3 UEE is the best thing to happen in my life....And I am happily married with 3 small children....
God bless you Diablo
Its really addicting for sure pal
+The Soap Pope
Children and wife come second
Diablo is first and foremost
+Eric Frost u understand life
The game itself reminds me of Runescape in a way, but better.
you're not going to be happily married for long.
So glad the ps4 and xbox owners can experience this great Pc game :)
I thought it as a sort of a cartoon like storyline
i dont think you know what objective means
+Deep South It's not always about the story, nobody cared about the story of crash bandicoot or super mario either.
Diablo 3 has no story
The story is good
I don't have three friends...let alone three nerd friends :(
I know the feeling. Social wndow keeps telling me "You have no friends."
I play video games to get away from people. That's why I don't play online. There are people there.
So Diablo 3, Destiny, and plenty of anime in the fall season, huh? My social life is about to go on a hiatus.
gonna go out on a limb and guess destiny didnt ruin any plans lol
Like you had any to begin with.
you named anime, you can't possibly have a life at all
Review looks good, no surprise there. I'm ready to spend my next 150+ gaming hours playing this one, and then on to _Dragon Age: Inquisition!_
Knuckles Goldberg Excellent! Was a bit worried I'd have no one to play with that I knew already.
Looking forward to getting this on my ps3
Daniel Koeker I don't think the multi-player is cross platform, the original D3 wasn't and this is just an expansion
Daniel Koeker Nope.
That's what I did
So many games to buy and so little money...
bank loans for games lol jk
***** The games I want to play the most are console exclusives so...
DONT BUY DIABLO 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lelouch vi Britania Why not ? o.o
Hugo Moreira It sucks BALLLSSS.You have to play 3 fucking times to get to max level
June 2021, just started gaming again. This thing is amazing and I’m hard to impress
I’m playing it all over again!
I would love to see the first Diablo as an extra on the disc.
The first Diablo was also available on PSOne. It'd be cool if Sony would release it on PS Store as a PSOne Classic
Still have ps one game
this is an outdated post, but they had a limited time event to play through the original game in 3
My 1st platinum trophy on the PS4. Just amazingly epic. Loved the story and characters as well as online and co-op game play. So much content and many many hours of gameplay.
Got it yesterday with little experience in the Diablo series. Really enjoying it with 2 missions in.
I just picked it up I'm hoping it's good
Am i the only one that actually likes the story of the Diablo series??
Joshua Brown I think so. When I play I just put the volume down and listen to music ignoring the entire story.
i completed all the acts in 13 hours and finished all acts at level 49 and i really enjoyed the story for my first time ever playing diablo
Awesome! Can't wait u til you hit nightmare lol.
Funny how pro PC this guy is in his review.
I mean yeah I know PC people spend a lot of money on their machines. But people with consoles are not lesser people.
Just got it. First time in general playing. Using Ps4. Having a ton of fun
Too much loot 1/10
-IGN
Hopefully I am getting this for Easter! I played Diablo 3 on last Gen for like 4 hours only and I was hooked. It was a two day rental, but from what I was able to play, I loved it!
So, did you get it????
That I did! I love it!
***** was the game worth it? Cause I was thinking about getting it to
Dude it totally is. You can spend hundreds of hours with it and still get new gear. Adventure mode is unlimited, regenerating dungeons so yes, it is very worth the money. Hands down the definitive diablo 3 experience!
***** does it get repetitive? I feel this game is best known for the local couch play
Fun game. Just bought it to play with my bros in law. Having a good time with it.
This is also cross/remote play on the Vita. Pretty damn sweet.
It is an exact match for the PC version according to Digital Foundry, who do thorough technical analysis.
Definitely buying this
The only thing I REALLY would like is the possibility to give loot to friends... maybe if they are registered as friends for like... a few months, you can trade loot.
Michael Sanchez Oh I meant in the PC version ;)
Playing at 2021 Diablo 3 Ultimate Evil Edition. But now necromancer is not included?
I already own Diablo 3 and reaper of souls in pc, but I am still gonna pick this up. I play pc more than consoles, but playing this game with a controller just feels better.
you can't use a controller with the pc version?
leozar69 No. The PC version is all point and click. It isn't that bad really.
ah.
Just bought this the other day, and this is the most bizarrely easy action game I've ever played (after being a huge fan of Diablo 2 back in the day). Looks and plays incredible on Xbox one! Definitely the best version is on the Xbox one plays silky smooth and ultra sharp with vivid bright colors!
I'm intrigued to try this game but.. How the heck can you even tell what's going on? O.o
Yu Narukami This is real man's game...It does not have ur preferred derpy emo animu shit heads talking for hours with boring combat
To bad I decided to try a Wizard last. I'm really loving the class.
Definitely gonna buy this sometime after my preorder comes in for Battlefield Hardline, hopefully it's still fun without friends though.
what's the difference between the ultimate evil edition and the eternal collection? which should I get?
i really do love the game n find the multiplayer to be a gamechanger, well deserved rating, and the story isnt too bad and i enjoy the bits of lore behind it all and the bosses are fairly well drawn to look evil
I wasnt a fan of the genre, since i mainly play first person shooter's but this shit is good!!!
A few complaints about the console version. Just being picky but why not use the font from the PC version? I already have mine paid for and look forward to playing
Good game bought on pc years ago cant wait for it to come on ps4
Can't wait to play this. Been patiently waiting since it was announced.
I wonder if I will be able to port my Xbox 360 character over to my PS4?
Trying to decide if this is worth buying again
for some odd reason I couldn't import my data from the 360 but starting over can be fun..
Glad that I preordered it on xbox one
I used to have this on PC... Just got around to buying it on PS4....Ive been missing out...
i wish i could transfer all my characters from my pc to the ps4 or 360
I've never played but am thinking about buying it! Should I?
My favorite game of all time!!!
reaper of souls fixed most of the issues since launch, its a pretty good game now and i do recommend it as it offers you over 100 of hours of gameplay, it doesnt get boring anytime soon :)
Diablo 3, Metro Redux, Destiny, and then The Crew Beta. Gonna be a crazy month.
which is better ? this or the ps4 version. aside from graphics. thank you
Beyond! Looking forward to this game, mostly because vanilla Diablo III has me bored even though I haven't maxed out my level. Hopefully adventure mode spices things up more than wandering around the same old areas I ran through earlier but now with slightly stronger foes.
Looking to pick up a good RPG is this worth it? Want something that's gonna take a while to play through
No pun intended I played the living hell out of this game on PC, and really enjoyed my stay there. Also, I played this on PC when it came out, and there have been a ton of changes since then.... I really am enjoying this and can't see anyone not having fun with this game. Highly recommended.
Still playing this got the necro to 70 yesterday
Diablo 2 is still 5 times the better game, but i'll admit i still have fun playing this game in Local Coop. It reminds of of Norrath game on PS2.
Im sexy and i know it nah, five times is by far exaggerating dude
Knight Of The Fallen Nope, it's the truth. You can ask any Diablo fans out there, and 80% of them think so as well.
This game is a decent hack and slash RPG, but is a mediocre Diablo game.
that font that fits to game LOL
If I enjoyed loot heavy games such as Borderlands would I enjoy this?
glad i pre-ordered it for PS4 :)
Just wondering, is there going to be a collectors edition? I mean, I already have the RoS CE but still, a Blizzard game without CE feels kinda wrong haha ^^
Ive never played diablo and i was interested in it, i have played similar games such as TL2 would i like diablo and is it worth it?
So I would I be right in saying this is the best version of the game you can get? I have Diablo 3 on PC without the expansion. I was thinking of picking this up as a co op game for the PS4, would Diablo fans say this is the best version or should I get my friends to buy the PC version?
I have the expansion for PC and I enjoy it, I think the real kicker is playing co-op, it would be a ton a fun.
It depends. I believe when IGN reviewed the original version for PS3/360 they liked it better than the PC version because the combat seemed to flow better.
Consoles & PC can't play with each other... So decide with care ^^

your right the ps4 version is the better one pc people wil never admit tho but i wil
im one of those people that play on ps3 and has a bunch of modded stuff so i was relieved when i found out you could get your save on d3+
I'm looking at this because gamestop has on sale for 30$ (spring deals) about to pick this up!
Hey, I was wondering, as a new player to Diablo 3, should I start on Hard or Expert difficulty? I prefer a challenge.. I'd really appreciate it if you could give me some advice.
I'm picking this game up tomorrow. Anyone recommendation for which class I should start out with?
Im thinking about just jumping on this game now for PC, is it still worth it or has the community moved on? Probably gnna be playing with random people
Got it on my Xbox One, so fun.
will patch 2.1 be in ultimate evil edition? bit lacking if it isnt but id still play
Just asking is it both diablo 3 stories the original and reaper of souls if so would I be able to get my PC account on that
is this game worth buying? when I already have Diablo 3 on xbox 360 or is it wasted money? but i love the game
i have diablo the original.
Picked this up same day as Destiny, have since been playing it more than Destiny.
How is the console community for this game? Is it comparable to the PC, can I find someone to coop with at anytime of the day regardless of my levels?
Respect to the people who like Crusader *HOW WILL HE DIE*
I was gonna buy this today off of PSN but I saw that its still 60! Almost 3 years later?! Wtf?!
3rooklyn it's on sale right now for 20 USD
Arkhemiel Dennis I just went back in PSN and bought it off your recommendation thank you! Its 26gb Jesus lol. But its cool my hdd is 2tb.
Arkhemiel Dennis is it worth it?
3rooklyn I bought it other day for £5 in Asda UEE brand new sealed but not my type of game so will trade it in
3rooklyn CHECK NOW!! I hot the game yesterday on "Critic's Sale" tab on psn for $19.97 US
Do you guys recommend I buy it for the console version or pc version? Are there any differences?
if i get this on the ps4 , can i play online with the people on the ps3? If yes , im buying for sure
Worth it?
diablo really makes you FEEL like you're diablo
can this game be played completely offline?
I'm new to this whole genre, I've played things similar to this years ago but that's all. I'm thinking of getting this when the price drops, is that a good idea?
I hate to ask but, does it get repetitive after playing the Diablo 3 campaign or is it varied and different after each playthrough, plus I know this sounds stupid, but does Adventure mode require Xbox Live Gold
should I get this game? I am very picky with rpg's
I like the 1st dark souls, dragon's dogma, transitor, bloodborne, darkest dungeon, and certain indie rpg's
God damn it... I want to save money but games keep taking my money!
Is RoS coming as DLC for consoles? Cause i really dont want to waste 39.99 on the game again.
Is this game like warcraft 3?
Love this game
I've never played any diablo games should I get this game?
so if i get the diablo 3 UEE for xbox 360 it including the game diablo 3 ?
can i lvl with 3 other players finding them online ?
also is there any pvp in this game ? no point playing it if u get hard gear but u cant do nothing with it expect killing mobs :/
Mmmm i had this on 360 how does my level 60 demon hunter carry over to XB1?
Someone please explain to me why I would want to go pay $60 for one big grind with a lackluster story?
Can't wait to play this havnt played a diablo game yet
just bought for 65$ yeee haw never played diablo before
That's not bad : 9.2 / 10 with 4 pros and only one con. I watched this to see either how good / bad the story was or how good / bad the gameplay in general was because I'm hoping to get it for XBox One tomorrow (the day after Easter Sunday 2015)
I'm an RPG fan, and I heard lots of good reviews, lots of bad reviews, but I'm in it for the medieval feel.
Nathan Nunn And before you ask, yes I did reply to myself because I simply forgot to add something to my comment!
Don't be hatin'!
BUT CAN YOU PLAY IT ON A PHONE?!?
"Boooo! Boooooooooo!"
On ps4 do you need to pay for a subscription
