Question: can an older guy drive a BRZ and not look out of place? Love the twins and test drove the Subaru. I really want one for Northern California coastal roads.
I'm 66 and I don't care what it looks like when I pass Porsches, BMW's in the curves on Hwy 17 between San Jose and Santa Cruz or Hwy 1 up and down the coast.
Great video!, love seeing these twins compete with cars that people say are "Much faster" than ours. I think we met at a C&O Downforce battle a while back. I was in a red GR86 was that y'all?
The e36 still lol I love the rawness, but the brz is EXTREMELY close and for it to still be in stock form mechanically, I’m excited for what I can do with it
Yeah that’s the sweet spot on these. The pace was just slower than I’m used to so I just kept it in 3rd to not put too much pressure on the cars in front
the bmw and audi drivers could not drive decently enough even to save someone's life; you are half decent but I didn't hear any h&t-ing and you use the car like it is some sort of turbo powered vehicle(trying to drive it on the torque curve); it is not!, always stay above 4700 rpm; brake later and or even tap the brake just before the corner apex to generate more grip on the front axle and fire your way out of the corner; the way you are doing it right now, it generates squealing tires and understeer; add some camber, a little wider and grippier tires and use the weight shifting of the car to turn it faster. #practice makes perfect!, cheers!
Was taking it easy once I saw who we were driving with, no need to keep the revs so high just to put endless pressure on the car in front it’s all in good fun in the mountains lol and I’m pretty sure there was some h&t in there… but thanks for the feedback I had all those mods already in mind but want to enjoy it stock and develop myself more in the process, maybe check out some of my other videos!
@@dante_lsx than you're a better man than I am; I really hate straight line "drivers" who can't turn a car and loose themselves at the first corner they see; also, my apologies if you did h&t-ing; I've watched your video on my phone so maybe that's why(small screen, low volume); all good, cheers!(see you on other/next videos)
@@eugenux lol I agree with that! And no problem it wasn’t pronounced in this video as revs were low and braking was a lot lighter than usual! (I’m always open to criticism to become better lol)
Bro you're a beast
Thanks man! 💪🏼
Nice I wish to be there with my GR86
Hope to see you out there some time!
Crazy how much taller that Evo is when you see it sitting next to the Twins lmao
Yeah it definitely makes them look tiny lol

I definitely think so! It’s the more mature version out of the 2, my dad (who is 60) is in love with the BRZ and wants to get one for himself
@@dante_lsxWell this 58 year old and your dad are on the same page. 🤙
@@craig8638 no such thing as looking at a place. you'll just get respect haha

Thanks! And yes that was us! Maybe you can make it to the next mountain run with us!
Great vid! Wondering how tall are you and do you sit comfortably?
Thanks! I’m about 6’2 and I fit pretty comfortably in it
Were they trying to drive fast?
Yeah but for some it was their first time out
What do you like better the e36 or this for rippin!?
The e36 still lol I love the rawness, but the brz is EXTREMELY close and for it to still be in stock form mechanically, I’m excited for what I can do with it
Still needs boost.
You not wrong about that lol, I’m undecided between the HKS turbo kit, or the Harrop supercharger, I’m leaning a little more towards the supercharger
No it doesn’t
Nice video! Have you driven or owned s2000? If so how does this compare to that car?
Thank you! Unfortunately I haven’t been able to drive an s2000 so I can’t make a true comparison
Stay in 4500 to 5500
