Kind of… he comes on the clouds on a throne and later he is on a horse.we don’t know what happens every moment in between but generally the second coming is his arrival on the horse in Jerusalem.but yes there is no secret rapture. Every eye shall see.

Very good teaching, Joel! Your last point about the first resurrection in Revelation 20:4-6 is exactly what the Lord drew my attention to three days ago. Very well said, the Bible doesn't teach resurrection 1a and resurrection 1b. I wanted to find a video that adresses exactly this issue, and here it came today! Very good point with 2 Thessalonians 1:7 as well. Usually I focus on 2 Thessalonians 2 when disproving the Pre-Trib, but 2 Thess. 1:7 is a very strong argument against 'a secret rapture'. Actually the whole idea that the rapture will be secret when hundreds of thousands, even millions of people will just disappear and others rise from the dead is beyond ridiculous. But putting that aside, the Scriptures are more than clear. Thank you for sharing ! Maranatha!

Once someone believes in the pre-trib rapture, it’s very difficult for them to see anything else. I meet my best friends dad for Bible study every week and he’s diehard pre-trib. I’ve shown him the clear passages over and over but he refuses to see it. And I’ve shared videos such as this one and he won’t watch them. It’s so sad and frustrating when he says to me “you’ll come around someday”.

When I was a baby believer, I was only taught pretrib theory, and that was “bedrock truth” as far as I was concerned.
Then, one day I was reading a pretrib book basically twisting 2 Thess 2 where the author said, (even though it says very clearly the opposite) that the verses are backwards and not to be read as they are presented in scripture
      My reaction: “What!?!”
Then they began saying apostasy really meant departure.
      Me again: “WHAT!!”
And those 2 things broke the mind control off of me and the blinders fell.
What else was I being lied to about? That was the beginning of seeking Gods word and what He meant it to say and not what man made tradition says it means.

The thing is that unless someone is open to truth, they wont hear. It is real easy for the carnal mind to make the Word of God say what it wants it to. This is what divides the church. But if we have the same Spirit, then we should hear the same thing. Maybe not at first but if we meditate on what we hear, the Holy Spirit will show us the truth. The carnal mind is Gods enemy and here we can understand why. We must have the Holy Spirit showing us truth, no matter who is teaching. If we are trusting in what the man is saying in his intelllect. Then we can stumble into error. The Holy Spirit is the only one who can reveal the truth but we have to be open to recieve what He shows us.
That is why when we see error, we do not judge the person in error. God shows us or allows us to see the error for 2 reasons. So that we can avoid the error ourselves. To pray that He will open the eyes of the ones that are in error. We do not judge the ones in error, or we will find ourselves being judged the same way. We can all have error if we are not listening to what the Holy Spirit is saying. Humility before God will keep us in His grace and He will show us the truth. IMO

The Apostle John had much to say about when the resurrection would be as well. John 6:39-40,44,54, and Jh 11:24 state that it would be on the last day. Should be very plain from all this scripture that the resurrection and rapture are all the same event.

So many of our brothers and sisters will be open and susceptible to the miracles performed by the false prophet and the dynamic charisma of the anti-Christ because they have been taught that they will emphatically, without question, be taken from earth to heaven BEFORE the anti-Christ is revealed. The Dragon is well-pleased with the deception, since it will make it easier for Him to deceive even the elect. Matthew 24:24-27. Apostle Paul was a man of God hearing from the Lord via the Holy Spirit of God's witness to his spirit. The equivalence of walking with God. This is the same Spirit who raised Jesus from staying dead/asleep! The only New Adam (hence He also calls Himself a Son of Man) for the redemption of humanity out of natural sin's destiny.. to an eternal life with Him back to God the Father.
Noone comes to the Father hearing from Him without going through the remission of our sin via the Lord Jesus's provision.. The imagery of the Lamb of God. HE is both the Lamb and the Lion of Judah, the branch of David from the root of Jesse.

I am glad you taught on Daniel 12:1-2. To me it is the most clear description of the rapture of the church in all of Scripture, and very rarely do I hear anybody use it as evidence of a post tribulation rapture. The Lord has really put this issue of the timing of the rapture so heavy on my heart, as my prayer for 20+ years was for God to not let me die in the rapture by way of a car accident or being on a plane when the pilot disappeared. I promised Him when I saw the Christian's and children disappear, I would KNOW He is real and I would live for Him. After having an encounter with Jesus 5 years ago, I began to read my Bible. I didn't even know there was a debate over the timing of the rapture, but I asked a Christian friend of mine, "why don't I see any of the stuff from the Left Behind series in my Bible?" As I began to ask God why He didn't just answer my prayer the way I asked Him to, He made it clear through His Word that if He had answered my prayer the way I was asking Him to, I would have been eternally separated from Him forever. I think there are many people who believe how I used to, that one day God will rapture His church, and that will be the sign that He is real and their indicator to turn their lives toward Him. I also believe when things don't happen how pre trib teachers and believers said they will happen, many will curse God and call Him a liar. I believe many have made Heaven their idol and the rapture their savior. I hope and pray that the eyes of people get opened before it is too late. While I agree with many that belief in pre or post will not directly result in one's salvation or not, I believe that eventually, belief in a deceptive teaching can and will lead many away from Christ and into the kingdom of darkness. God Bless you Brother and your family. Thank you for all you do in humility and obedience for the Kingdom of God. ☝🏻🙏🏻❤️🙌🏻

I am not sure how people can miss this, but Paul was very specific that the dead will be raised first before those that remain are "caught up" (raptured), and we have Yeshua Himself tell us FOUR times that it will happen on the LAST day and Martha quoting Him as well.
1 Th 4:16-17 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and *the dead in Christ shall rise first: THEN we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds,* to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Joh 6:39-40 And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should *raise it up again at the last day.* And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and *I will raise him up at the last day.*
Joh 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and *I will raise him up at the last day.*
Joh 6:54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and *I will raise him up at the last day.*
Joh 11:24 Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in *the resurrection at the last day.*

What has 'blinded' our pre-trib bretheran? Perhaps:
    1) They are ignorant (or ignore) the purpose of suffering.
    2) They teach that you utter a 1 minute prayer, die and then "go to heaven." Jesus' own words focused upon repentance (turn around; change) AND The Kingdom!
    3) They don't understand the verse where parusia is an image of meeting the returning King and turning around to accompany Him back to the earth.
    4) The Kingdom will have a King, laws, penalties and consequences.
    5) Rewards will vary from 100 fold to "barely making it.". PS LEAST in the Kingdom are those who break the (least of the) commandments AND teach others to do so.
    6) "He who endures until the end shall be saved."
    7) Finally, Zechariah 14: In the Kingdom millennium, the nations who do not appear in Jerusalem with gifts for the King shall not get rain. The Sabbaths shall be restored.

Many people put more importance on what their “denomination” has been teaching for decades, which was often promulgated by one man, than seeking the truth of Gods word. It was the same with the Pharisee’s who cling to their “doctrines” above the possibility that they didn’t know or understand the truth of what God was actually saying and planning.
The people cling to their denomination and their pastors, the pastors cling to their positions and the doctrines of the main office.

    Mathew 24:37-39
37 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
It’s hard for me to imagine eating and drinking, marrying, and giving into marriage while all those seal, Trumpet, and bowl judgements are happening.
Are they doing that after their hearts fail them in fear, or after they wish the mountain to fall on them?
It’s hard to imagine partying at a wedding towards the end of the tribulation .
    I could see partying Pre-Trib or Pre-Wrath.
How does the Post-Trib argument interpret this?

    • @JoelRichardson
      @JoelRichardson  ปีที่แล้ว +1

First, there is only one "coming" never once does the Bible ever says "comings." It is always the "coming of the Lord." This is His glorious coming. So how can the various judgments be loosed while many humans go about their business? On the first several days that Baghdad was being most heavily bombed by American troops in Gulf War II, around 50% of the people still got up and drove to work each day. Humans have something called normalcy bias. No matter how bad things are, they stretch toward normalcy like a rubber band. Second, the judgments are all described in rather extreme and hyperbolic wats. One can only assume that some are rather regional and others more global. One may be concentrated in one part of the world etc. The point is simple. As the world is being judged by God, many will be pretending that life is still normal and trying to go about their business.

    • @mightymikeamps9317
      @mightymikeamps9317 ปีที่แล้ว

@@JoelRichardson Thanks for the reply Joel. You could be right and that it’s just regional. It’s just hard to wrap my head around the earth going to a fro like a drunkard and islands moving out of their place, and people partying at a wedding… but hey I went to Disneyland during the LA RIOTS in 1992… The place was empty. So I get what your saying.
Since I have you here. What’s your take on Psalms 90:10, and the claim that it describes a generation being between 70 -80 years, and applying that to May 1948 in the context of not a generation shall pass.
With the way the world is going, I wouldn’t be shocked if 2028 is the mid point of the Trib, and feast of Trumpets either 3 1/2 years before or after that is when the last Trump Sounds and the Dead in Christ Rise first.
Interesting side note: And I still have to verify this. That the Jews call the Feast of Trumpets, “The feast that no one knows the day nor the hour.”
If that was true during Jesus’s time, then it was a huge clue right?

    Matthew 13:20-21
As for what was sown on rocky ground, this is the one who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy, yet he has no root in himself, but endures for a while, and when tribulation or persecution arises on account of the word, immediately he falls away.
    Ephesians 6:13-14
“Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness…”
It is interesting that truth is worn like a belt. Belts were used to gird one’s loins to prepare oneself for work or battle. You can only stand on or for something if you know the truth about it. If you don’t know or believe that you must withstand in the evil day, you are less likely to take a stand.

    • @Tsedek_ben_Shimon
      @Tsedek_ben_Shimon ปีที่แล้ว

Brett - my two cents - The seven seals are seven judgments, and the seven bowls are wrath.
The first two seals have already been opened.
The first is a white horse whose rider has a bow in his hand. This is not a bow as in bow and arrow, it is a rainbow. It signifies a movement we are all familiar with that has a rainbow flag. This rider causes a significant increase in sexual immorality and sexual confusion, as in the days of Noah, and was released some time ago (think election 2008 and pretty colors flashed upon the capitol building).
The second rider which is on a red horse releases war across the globe. This rider has been released more recently. Countries that are not at war with neighboring countries will be at war within themselves (civil, race, religious, etc... wars). This will eventually lead to global nuclear war.
The book of Judges shows us the purpose of judgment is to cause people to repent of their wickedness and turn to the Lord. Unfortunately judgment usually affects the evil and the good as we see with Daniel and his friends being deported to Babylon.
I recently heard a prophetic word that Russia, China, and India would suffer very severe famine. This would be from the third seal/horse. I suspect that other areas will also be adversely affected.
The seven bowls are God's wrath, and we will be up in the atmosphere with Yeshua watching as they are poured out (Psa 91:7-8). When Apophis arrives on Friday the 13th, April 2029 this will begin. Revelation 8:6-12, 16:2-9 are caused by Apophis.
Keep in mind that Revelation gives us two parallel accounts, from two different perspectives, of the "end times". The first account ends with chapter 11, and the second account begins with chapter 12 which is why you see many things mentioned twice. When you read Revelation with this in mind it will make a lot more sense.

43:28 You keep saying that the blessed hope IS the coming/appearing of the Lord in glory. But the verse you reference at 29:51 (Titus 2:13) clearly makes a distinction between the blessed hope AND the appearing. That verse, unless the AND is a typo, does not say the blessed hope IS the appearing, as you keep repeating. Due to the AND, there are clearly two things in the verse: the blessed hope, AND the appearing of the glory of our great God. We're looking for the blessed hope that is eternal life in Jesus, AND looking for the appearing of our great God and savior. My KJV has a comma after "hope." So the verse actually reads "looking for the blessed hope, and the appearing..." The first chapter defines the "blessed hope" of 2:13. 1:2 says "In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;"

    • @JoelRichardson

The Blessed Hope IS His glorious appearing. There are not two separate events. Most of the newer, more accurate translations get this correct. See for example, the ESV, the CSB, the NET, the NIV all convey this more accurately. If you say HIs glorious appearing is not our blessed hope, you must perfect nearly the entire biblical testimony.

So Christ shows up to rapture his people, bares His arm for the whole world to see in vengeance, and then does an exodus with his raptured people serving as their guard. Then he will return, Jude 14, with myriads of his holy ones, his glorified saints who are now kings of the kingdom, to execute judgment on the ungodly, where all authority has been taken away from angels and given to the children of man during the opening of the seven seals and the announcement of the seven trumpets, for the Bible says, "he has brought down the mighty from their thrones and exalted those of humble estate," Luke 1:52.

The reason he refers to it as a “secret” rapture is because that is what the pretribulation rapture doctrine calls it.
Most people that are pretrib that I have encountered, including myself, have never actually studied the doctrine of the pretribulation rapture.
They only know verses here and there that they’ve been taught out of context.
Example: “we are not appointed unto wrath”
I wholeheartedly agree with that statement.
The question is, when is God’s wrath poured out?
The tribulation is not God’s wrath. That is what causes so much confusion for pretribbers. They conflate the two.
      Read Revelation 16:1.
That specifically shows and says when God’s wrath is poured out.

I hold to the Pre-wrath rapture position and i find myself agreeing more and more with historic pre-millenialism.
With that being said, i just to give a friendly response to what you said about the bowl judgements ONLY being the Eschatological Day of the LORD's wrath.
The 6th seal being opened i believe is the "coming of our Lord and our being gathered together to him."
This also goes hand in hand with Matthew 24:29-31..
I'll just get straight to the point, i believe that the trumpet and bowl judgements are the day of the LORD'S wrath. I believe the rapture and resurrection of the dead happens at the 6th seal being opened. To my understanding, the Pre-wrath position has always held that the Eschatological Day of the LORD'S wrath consists of the trumpet and bowl judgements.
If the trumpet judgments are the wrath of God than that would be a Post-wrath Rapture which kind of defeats the purpose of the rapture.

No scholar of the whole bible.
It is a living book that speaks to us daily as/if we truly consume it with the Lord spiritually illuminating its meanings to us. Not a "preacher of pretrib" per se, but I do believe and so witness about Him as the apostles/disciples of old did.
Daniel 9 explains the purpose of the 70th week.. scholars work out to be the last 7 years primarily to end the rebellion of harlotry (taking other gods/denying Him) and restorative redemption of the remnant Israel of God.
So personally I think once Rev 6 begins, this 70th week begins.
A time of Jacob's trouble i.e. oppositions for the heart converted believers.. which is of course Not synonymous to God's wrath on ungodliness for these ones.
Being cautious about hyper dispensation divisions ought not divide on perceptions of the truth ("throwing the tub out with the bath water"). GOD will indeed settle the matter as time unfolds up ahead.

We come WITH Him at the second coming.
I cant see us going up and coming right back down?
For where He is we will be also, and then come with Him. This is where you lose me a little bit your explanation brother Joel.
A post great trib rapture at the second coming is hard to grasp, because we are already coming With Him.
Where does it say HE must come back onto earth for the rapture? I look at it like Stephen who saw Christ standing in Heaven.
He could just stand in heaven, in the clouds of glory, saying "come up here", at the last trumpet,
before the Bowls of HIS WRATH are poured out on the earth. I hope that doesnt sound Gnostic, just a thought.
So I believe that is when we , [jew and gentile believers still alive], are all gathered home to be with Him, along with the res.
of the true believers from the dead and the martyred saints coming out of the great trib. at that instant.
I think Dalton has a similar view on this? [as to the timing, which is probably very near the second coming, but just not at the same time.?]
Those Jews who fled Jerusalem and Israel/Judea to the wilderness at the mid trib abomination are protected where they are
and they will believe when They SEE Him and us all Coming at the second coming. They will go into the millennium as humans to re-populate the world then. We will be with Christ, like Him, in our glorified [angelic like] bodies,
during the millennium and beyond forever.

All these pre-tribulation, post-tribulation, this and that, yet Jesus' words get selective mention (speaking in general, not necessarily Joel). For example, do Protestant christians avoid Jesus's own words that on that day, all who are in the graves will hear his voice and rise up: Those who have done good, to the resurrection of life; and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of condemnation. Jesus himself said it!
Even Joel skips this verse, I guess, when he says that the resurrection of the dead is the resurrection of righteous dead (implied that the evildoers don't get to be resurrected at that time).
Theologians/preachers selectively skip Jesus's own ideas and statements ha ha.

  • @TheRgordon16

Jesus is the first fruits of the resurrection. But He was not the only one who rose from the dead. The scriptures clearly teach that the graves were opened after Jesus rose from the dead. Old Testament saints appeared to many. I believe they also ascended to heaven with Jesus. And they probably represent the 24 Elders John saw in heaven. Also the two prophets will raise from the dead and shall be caught up to heaven in the presence of their enemies. Joel assumes the First Resurrection means the ONLY Resurrection of the righteous saints at the end of Daniel’s 70th Week, but I believe he is mistaken. The First Resurrection Began with Jesus as the first fruits, then the Old Testament saints in Matthew 27:52-53, The Two Witnesses, then the Rapture of the Church. The FIRST RESURRECTION encompasses all of these resurrections. Paul said the dead IN CHRIST shall rise first before the living is transformed and caught up to meet the Lord in the air. That means every person that has died IN CHRIST from the first recorded martyred Christian Stephen to the last martyred Christians during the tribulation period.

He presented Himself to the Father as the first fruits offering.
      This He told Mary.
Lazarus was raised from the dead but wasn't recorded as going to heaven.
We don't know who the 2 witnesses are. You make too many assumptions.

    • @TheRgordon16

@@eswn1816 Please study the scriptures carefully FIRST before assuming the scriptures doesn’t speak about this topic.
“Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: Thou hast received gifts for men; Yea, for the rebellious also, that the Lord GOD might dwell among them.”
      ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭68‬:‭18‬ ‭KJV‬‬
‭‭“Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, And gave gifts unto men. (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)”
      ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭8‬-‭10‬ ‭KJV‬‬
So it would appear as though, those who Jesus appeared to in the lowest parts of the Earth, are the ones who rose from the dead after His resurrection and eventually He lead them into heaven when He ascended. Using Lazarus as an example doesn’t work because Lazarus was raised BEFORE Jesus completed His redemptive work by dying on the cross and raising from the dead. Those who’s graves were opened in Matthew 27:52-53 were resurrected AFTER Jesus rose from the dead. You ASSUME they simply died again but you have no scripture saying they died again. And it makes no sense for them to die again after being raised when Jesus rose from the dead. Those Old Testament saints were dead for some hundreds and others thousands of years. They were now able to enter into heaven because of Jesus’ completed work. So the idea that they would raise from the dead only to die again, after waiting for so long, makes absolutely no sense.

The Bible is a puzzle that no one can solve. That's God's plan. He has told us what we need to know for now. Put your faith and trust in Yeshua and you will be saved.

Seems really simple to me that the rapture of the church will take place at the Day of the Lord (2nd coming).

You obviously don’t understand the Tribulation and what it’s all about! The Jewish people!
