- Back in 2018, a fan named Carlos made a video requesting Warner Bros. to release the original director's vision of Justice League, aka The Snyder Cut. Since then, the fandom and the movement behind #ReleaseTheSnyderCut has grown to the point where the studios couldn't ignore this request by (as Carlos puts it) loyal fans, and the movie was announced to be released in HBO Max.
With that in mind, I've decided to make a similar video, only this one would be a look back at the journey the fandom, the director and even the character of Superman have gone through. And it would serve as a 'thank you' to them and to the studios.

People think that this is only about a movie. The heart of this movement is autumn Snyder and suicide awareness, it’s much deeper then people think.
Does that include the idea that Snyder said that Batman could get raped in his film?

I feel sad that I wasn't able to be apart of the movement as I only heard of it after it was already announced to be happening I mean I had heard a little bit about it but I wasn't paying any attention to it.

I seriously can’t wrap my head around the fact that some people call this toxic. It’s fucking beautiful.
Imagine being so heartless to even dislike this video.
I didn’t dislike the video and I often wonder why anyone dislikes a video especially when it’s all about being positive but my guess is it’s not about the video and how beautifully it’s cut but that they just don’t like anything about the DCEU. And you can’t really blame them for that because the run of DC movies, especially when compared to the MCU, has been largely crap or at the very least incredibly inconsistent.
Suicide Squad, the Harley Quinn movie and most recently the pretentious wet fart that was WW84.
For the sake of all the Snyder Cut fans, I really hope this movie is better. But if it’s still about a bunch of silly Mother Boxes and watching Superman swoop in at the last minute to defeat Steppenwolf while everyone else watches I don’t see how this cut will be any better than what we already got except that it’ll be a prettier, properly color graded pile of garbage.

@@incredibilistic I don't want to be part of a group, cult. I am just a film fan, a big one. I watch film every day, I care about film. It helped me, a lot. I just want to see good movies, I do not care who made them. Marvel, DC those names mean nothing to me. But Man of Steel and Batman v Superman, those mean something to me. They were GREAT. From a technical point of view, those action sequences are yet to be equaled. From a story point of view, continuity in Clark/Lois/Bruce/Lex character development is complicated and beyond rich. I cannot wait to see what Snyder has done with the BvS sequel, Batman v Superman is the most dense and complete piece of work these eyes have EVER seen.
That said, the last Marvel film I watched was Infinity war. And I did not like being there (in the cinema), I was bored. Emotions were forced and fake, plot turns were shallow and unprepared. I had seen it before. The things it has going for it, starpower/humor/great CGI, are no longer enough. I have seen to many films that have these attributes, and it leaves you feeling empty when those attributes aren't backed up by real gravity in the story. Real consequences. Sensible character behavior. Morality that isn't so black and white. I don't watch Marvel anymore. Not because I hate them, it's just not worth my time. I don't feel desire to watch them, I don't care if the characters live or die. It's a fake world, and a stupid world and I need no part of it.
That said, I feel the same way about Suicide Squad, Aquaman, Harley Quinn and Wonderwoman. (Wonderwoman 1 being slightly better then 2, but still not great)
@@incredibilistic just so you know, Joss Whedan directs Avengers.. and fun fact, 2017 Josstice League, only 10% of the movies was Zack's material, 90% of it was Joss Whedon reshoots.. so, whne you talk about garbage, now you know who lmao. Plus, Zack does not direct Suicide Squad and WonderWoman. Its easy for you to compare with MCU when they have dozens of movies, which you can cherrypick only the good movies, lets not forget Age of Ultron, Thor 2, and few more are bad movies too. So, lets not do this. It is better for you to research something about it first before talking like a pile of garbage, because it makes you look like someone stoopid now.. just sayin
p/s: if only 10% of the movies was Zack's.. imagine the Snyder Cut is a 4hours movie, lots of scenes and plot we havent watch before.
@@BaschBarrage -- We already have over 4 hours of Snyder's vision for the DCEU and it was so piss poorly received that DC felt the need to bring in Marvel's sloppy seconds in both Whedon and Gunn (though Gunn came back to Marvel) to fix the messes made by Snyder and Goyer.
I have no doubt his vision of the movie will look pretty because that's what Snyder does but a storyteller he is not. I love the effects and action in Sucker Punch but it was a passion project for Snyder and it's clear that when he isn't given material to adapt (like 300 or The Watchmen) he has no clue how to tell a story.
The reason I mention the other films in the DCEU is because the other films were attempting to match Snyder's style, which they all suffered for as a result.
Again, for the record, the Snyder cut of JL will be pretty but that won't change the fact that the plot is still stupid and the entire reason this movie exists is because the original film was a turd and even when this version is over there likely won't be any follow-through. It'll be a fun little distraction that'll be forgotten in a month.

Bro I cried over this and I’ve been very emotional about this whole Snyder Cut. More so than usual lately. I had several near death experiences in 2020 and the fact that I’m alive to see this movement come together & succeed and we’re all on the finish line to see this movie which has transcended its own means to become something grander. A tribute to the best director that there will ever be. I understand how he felt when he put all of the things that he did into the movies. He just wanted to change it up to where some fans understand it and some still wonder why it's happening. I would have done the exact same type of movies it I was a director. He should be honored as well for helping to steer the company in the right direction. It wasn't going so well before he stepped in. I was surprised that he listened to the fans or just followed his vision with some approval from the company.

People complain that Zack made superman so dark and not hopeful/inspirational or optimistic. His superman is in many ways what inspired or began this amazing movement in the midst of some really dark days...
Just take a look at all the comments on this brilliant video, this movement took what was firstly a terrible tragedy for the Snyder's personally and then the hopelessness and dark times of not being able to see Zacks vision completed and United under Zack to overcome many hurdles/impossible odds/ridicule to reach this point....
After 4 years and many painful days, everyone in this comment section is now celebrating and having some of their most joy filled, faith restored, hope fulfilled days leading up to the release of the Snyder cut.
It all started with Zacks Superman connecting/resonating with all of us, because we saw Superman go through some dark times himself in MOS but overcoming them with his good and then each member of Zacks Justice league resonating with each of us...
If this isnt what Superman was created to inspire, then I don't know what is....
Zack Snyders Superman and Zack Snyder's Justice League is the most optimistic and inspiring version of these characters ever to be brought to life!

I connected more with Henry Cavill’s Superman than any Marvel hero in the MCU. Zack knew exactly what he was doing.
@@jackdolinger820 Me too dude. I was always a superman fan growing up and after seeing Nolan's Batman trilogy, I wished/hoped someone would properly tell superman's story.
Zack Snyder not only managed to do that, he surpassed everything I could ever hope for from a superman origins story in MOS and at the same time made superman so relatable.
Even personally I know so many people who have changed their opinion on MOS and now consider it one of their fav movies, that means MOS will stand the test of time, unlike most marvel movies which are a one time watch kinda thingy at best.
