Thanks for sharing! It is a great honor to think of those who have been through war. Sending greetings and deep gratitude to all who participated: "Welcome home!"
It's a great treat for sentimental and affectionate senior citizens who must have lost themselves many a time as they closed their eyes in a recliner... In the journey inside...
Such an awesome story and how it brought back the fate of two “brothers” who were united forever from a child with a true heart 0f compassion and carrying respect we should always show to our veterans who have taught for the freedom paid by many who fought the wars n came home! Thank you for this story which brought tears to my eyes many times! God bless our military! Amen❣️
Beautiful story, it brought tears to my eyes when they met again. Thank you for the service of all men and women that have been in a war past and present. 🇨🇦
Brought tears to my eyes . Veterans old & young should be respected they gave us our freedom . Please do remember those that died in World Wars & Civil Wars. Past & Present . We will remember them .
❤❤❤ Thank you for serving our country and God bless you too. My grandpa was in ww11 his dad was in ww1 and my dad had a brother in the Korean war. So I have people who are deceased now. But I still have some family members still alive. But we don't have any contact with each other anymore
Thank you so much for the compliment! And thank you for your service. It's great to hear that this story had a positive impact on you. Was there anything in the story that particularly stood out to you?
@@PosdcardFeelings No matter how much of an age difference, we as veterans always seem to get along. In my part-time job, I recently met a lady who have been an Army brat and Army wife for 80 years (She is 83). Her father served for 30 years; her husband served for 26 years in Special Forces. She described her late husband's funeral in Arlington Virginia. I felt as if I were there. She also has 2 boys that have served over 20 and one son that served 10 years and got out to serve the civilian sector as a surgical nurse.
These people are so stupid and they are so scared that they themselves will and have never been a military member of our great country and they all found ways to get out of serving !! I speak out I would not have sat as silent as Lisa did this man would have really been put to the the ground with h all my might I had a father that taught me how to take care of bullies that just run their mouth and they are not going to fight except to put down elderly an poor citizens who are in poor condition!! Thank you Lisa
Thank you! I also believe that stories about veterans help us strengthen our loyalty and appreciation for our Country and those who have served. Do you have any special memories or stories about veterans that you would like to share?
@@PosdcardFeelings I sure do, even that im not from US. It was November 1939. Winter War, (Republic of Finland vs U.S.S.R) had just erupted. In temperature of -40°C/-40°F one man stood out. Dressed in white, a young, simple farmerlad, age 19, took up his bolt lock rifle, put water on the barrel and snow in his mouth. Then taking aim trought plain old iron sight without optical scope. And only then he pulled the trigger. He & 31 were pinned againts 4000 Soviet troops. Thus The Legend Of Deadliest Sniperman In World History, Simo Häyhä, Belya Smert/ The White Death was born. His official killcount on 100 days at minimun being 505 confirmed kills. But he didn't just stick with rifeling, and used also Suomi Submachinegun and handgranades, killing unofficially from 700 to 800 men. And yes, he was lucky to survive from the shot of exploding bullet to his jaw, distorting his face for the rest of his life. After the Winter War he was promoted to The rank of 2.Liutenant and lived the rest of his life in peace, dying at royalty age of 96 years in 2002.
They used your stereotype in the story. They called him "the wealthy man" and made him the jerk. How many also did NOT stand up? Were they all wealthy too? There are too many people who aren't wealthy that would behave in the same ugly way. There are many wealthy people who give much to others. Wealth has nothing to do with it. The problem was, the man was a jerk, not that he was wealthy. I am not wealthy.
its hard to except, but Love is the real reason for living! That we show much kindness & Love with as many as we can in this life! Thank-You Jesus for showing me the real reason for living & Life!
I am glad this reminds me of my father how his friends remember him from military. I join Navy to try and honor them and this story made remember stuff I buried deep and feel great for these memories.
What a fantastic story. Sounds like one of my Father and me bumping into an old shipmate of his I worked with. Thanx for the emotional rollercoaster. Loved every second of the story. Thank you, thank you.
It was great to hear that your story brought back fond memories of your father and his old friend. Thank you for sharing and cherishing every second of it. Emotional roller coasters are always memorable experiences!
I never was in a war or in the army, because they did not want me. But this stoty kept me crying all the way. And is realy amazing how people can be, like in the start in the plain. I never expected that this would happen. Greetings from Roelof from the Netherlands, and thank the two people to liberated us.
This story brings back my own past from VietNam. I was only 19 years old, when I went to war. I was a gunner in UH-1 helicopters. I would like to see some of my old buddies. That was in 1972 and 7, up in Danang.😟
I am absolutely floored by this story what an incredible act of kindness and bravery from Lisa and Lily I can't believe how beautifully their actions led to such a profound reunion this is truly what love and respect look like I’m in awe of this journey.
How beautiful. Thank you so much. As an Air Force wife, I remember so much. My husband getting orders for Na Trang on the day our son and I came home from hospital. Him leaving three months later. Him being med-evaced 7 months later. Those are memories you never forget. Thank all who served, and those who waited for their return.
That was just so sad story but I'm glad they both found each other some people don't care about others why😢 they don't know what they been threw respect others even if you don't know them only they know how much they been threw so sad just cause their old❤
The story is really sad but I am glad they found each other. It is a shame that there are people who do not care about others and do not understand what they have been through. It is very important to respect others, even if you do not know them. Everyone has their own story and challenges in life.
This video was truly touching and beautifully crafted. It is a powerful reminder of the deep impact small acts of kindness can have on someone's life. The way Lisa and Lily selflessly gave up their seats for the veteran shows such compassion and respect, and the unexpected reunion at the end was incredibly heartwarming. Thank you to the creators for sharing this moving story, and may everyone who watches it be reminded of the importance of kindness and community. Wishing all viewers peace and happiness!
Being a Veteran this story brought back memories of my time in the Marines. Heartfelt memories of Men I still remain good friends with! One friend I brought home on a three day weekend who ended up married to my sister! They are still happy and married since around 1979.Another good friend I served all 4 years active service with lives in Michigan and I'm in calif. we still call each other from time to time and recall old memories! I enjoyed this story! Thank you!
my father was raised during the great depression in the state of Colorado he moved to San Francisco California he enjoyed such movies as Shirley Temple Don knots plus trail of the lonesome pine movie with Henry Fonda plus the Andy Griffith Show plus little house on the prairie series plus John Wayne movies plus the Beverly hill Billy's sorry for getting off topic.
OMG!!! If this story doesn't bring a steady stream of tears and choked up throats to you, then nothing will. I don't think I have ever heard a story with more honest emotion and feelings then this one. After all those long years apart, finally these two war veterans and best friends, each of which had been through years of hell and back during two wars, finally were reconnected with each other. During the story, I sat here quietly, sometimes with tears in my eyes, trying my best, but failing miserably, to even begin to imagine what those two must have felt as they picked up their lives from that last horrific battle and the last time they had seen each other, so many years ago. Both Lisa and her young daughter, Lily, will have their lives enriched as they are now able to learn more of their family history from these two gentlemen. THANK YOU to all who have served in any branch of the military and gave so much so we may enjoy our lives today. Every one of us owes you a debt of gratitude we can never fully repay.
God’s compassion gave and knew the little girl’s love was very special This is what Jesus wants the love & compassion for this older veteran which it turned out beautiful, thank you Lord
My Dad was in Both World Wars & hearing this story brought Me back of some memories of the stories that Dad used to tell Me. One in particular was in Pairs that used to bother Him a lot and that's why this story was so touching and meaningful. When I was learning to play the accordion, He would always insist I learned to play the song "Under Paris Skies". Thanks for sharing it.
It's wonderful that these 2 Brothers In Arms were reunited. But, where was Richard headed when he boarded the plane? Did he have relatives nearby? If not, he has a HOME and FAMILY now.
I Love to salute all the veterans men and women thank you for your service and God Bless You All. My husband of 37 years was in the military and was in the Navy. He had gotten out of the Navy before we started dating. He passed away on February 2, 2018 of Pancreatic Cancer. I Love and Miss him so much!!!!! Some of my family members were in the military themselves. My dad was in the Air Force but he passed away 0n January 27, 2017. Again I want to Thank You for Your Service!!!!
Thank you for sharing your touching story and for your tribute to our veterans. I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your husband and father, but I am also touched by their sacrifice and dedication to our country. Your tributes are an important reminder of the gratitude we should have for those who have served. God bless you and your family!
Thanks for this delightful and touching story,I have enjoyed it from beginning where the wealthy man was disrespectful leading to kindness from a person who had a caring heart and leading to opening a door that had began many years before, where neither of the persons realised what would be the outcome and the journey that had started long ago, where the old guy who was lost in a way, found joy, peace and happiness and a family..God moves in mysteries ways and one touch of kindness makes a fantastic difference in someone journey of , .. This is a beautiful and inspirational story 👍👏🙏😇🙋❤😃
I Loved this teaching of anothers past, I felt like I was a part the story and each charecter.. Thankyou for bringing back my childhood...
I salute all veterans men and women thank you for your service and God bless you. I had some family members who were in the military themselves. A few of them have already passed away but they done what they had to do. We all need to be respectful for not only our veterans and everyone around us. If we can't have respect for anyone who do you think will respect you. Because God made everyone the same and see everyone and everything the same. But remember if you don't believe in God and you keep you bad crap. Karma is real and it will come back and bite you in your butt. So take my advice get right with God and pay attention to everything you do. Because otherwise when you meet God face to face he will be asking you about the bad things you did and you have to explain why. Also remember that respect isn't a given it's a earn
Thank you for sharing these thoughtful and touching thoughts. It is wonderful that you express your gratitude and appreciation to our veterans who have sacrificed and served our country. Respect is an important value that we all need to uphold, not only for our veterans but for everyone around us. God teaches us to love and respect one another, and indeed, our actions have consequences. Living by these values will help create a better society. Do you think respect and appreciation should be taught more in our homes and schools?
