Maybe because of it being in the desert and pretty much the land being low value, and remember that the high rise skyscrapers make prices even lower considering the use of small land. Honestly, if you could just have and million dollar house, southern Europe all the way. Since you get house without mortgage, you won't need much especially if you opt for proper eco house with solar panels. You can just spend time traveling, and that's the best spot as there's so much to see and everything's close by. You have alps, amazing Mediterranean beaches and ofc all the cultural stuff. Other choice would somewhere between Thailand and Australia if you want to live cheaper and have different kinds of adventures and environment.

College, universities are not free at all. They cost tens of thousands of dollars a year, etc ....
People in Belgium have a minimum standard of living, etc ... not here. People work two jobs to pay for housing. You don't and many others, know that paid vacation is not mandated by law. Your company or employer does not have to pay you for your vacation.

I'm from Florida and can tell you there are plenty of places over 2,000 square feet on the beach for $1 million. Clearwater Beach is continuously ranked #1 beach in the US and has numerous properties right on the water for right at $1million and some are as much as 3,500 sq feet.... I live in this area, but can't quite afford it.... yet lol

As for the beach you have about 6 to choose from not even ten minutes away for 25,000 AU$ a year rental and or a 300 000 Au$ for a 20 year lease. Trust me this is value and joy in a lifestyle.

I know a lot of ppl in different areas making 10 to 30k a week. and they spend 5-10k a month, ofc there is a high investment with a much higher return. this is their own business like me in the personal trainer thing, its not those investments online.

I know a man who cuts homes out of sandstone.
Each chamber is an artistic treasure. It takes 3
years on average and he's underground 24/7.
People that buy his time see he is fed, has medical
services, and stay away otherwise so he can stay
undistracted. Works for less than a quarter million
dollars. Requires solid sandstone. Not layered.
Any high cliff cliff view is ideal. Expect to have
lots of skylight portals overhead. Each future
dwelling will be unique. One of a kind. Priceless.
