As a woman who has been over 6 feet tall ever since she was 14, these movies make me feel so seen! *Sheds totally real tear that definitely isn't from keeping in surpressed laughter*
They really missed out on this one. They could have followed up on that tall people cult by having short people going missing at the school and tall girl has to stop them to save Dinkleberg. Maybe have the swede turn out as the cult leader.we know tall girl was trained in self defence when a serial killer went around as mentioned in the last movie. So much potential
One of the finest sequels of our time. I totally needed to see more of our conventionally attractive white girl complaining that she's 6ft and has no opportunities in the future
The weirdest part is, they could have almost sorta maybe kinda had a point to be the movie a little if it had come out like... ten years ago? But they released the original like right in the middle of the "tall queen revolution" Like, you're gonna tell me being 6' tall is a death sentence for a girl when the biggest sex symbol in the world in 2021 was a 9'6 woman!?
“I've watched you from deep behind Jodi’s cowardly eyes, struggling to have everything you want while the world tries to make you choose. Gods don't have to choose, Dunkleman. We take.”
I mean yeah being tall is a good thing but not always for women. Most of the time we get masculinize if we’re too tall and some of us don’t like that. Men are expected to be tall and women are expected to be small. I pretty sure you could understand why a guy would complain about being "too short", well for women it’s the opposite. The issue is more that she’s not THAT tall.
"When your brain's that close to the sun, it.... _does_ things to you" had me cracking the fuck up. People of the future, please learn from my mistakes. Do not eat while watching this review.

Ladies and gentlemen, we are experiencing a special time in history where movies like Tall Girl get a sequel and videos like Cosmonauts' Tall Girl review also get a sequel. Truly, all hope in humanity is not lost.
"As a handsome high school student in his late twenties, I related so much to your speech about the struggles of being tall. I'm among 90% of male students who are all tall and wer are among the most oppressed demographic in school"
It's actually canon in the TGCU that basketball was banned in 1973 in the "tall people initiative' which as we all know, caused mass segregation and prejudices against tall people across the nation. It was only in 2004 that tall people where given equal rights to those over 5'11. Sadly, basketball has not seen a resurgence in the 15 or so years since, as anti tall sentiment still runs wild in America
Just proved this statement true by looking at the smaller players' handles compared to the big players. Nice try though to pick apart a minorities struggles just because you don't agree with them.
@@RAAZR-wtf being a certain height isn't the same as being a minority minority: a relatively small group of people, especially one commonly discriminated against in a community, society, or nation, differing from others in race, religion, language, or political persuasion. idk why you're so steamed

As basketball was banned, boxing became a mainstay sport in the TGCU, and short people came to dominate televised sports as we know it. Tall people were relegated to filler roles on TV, such as comedians and shopping channel hosts, while the short overlords reigned as the faces of major networks in talk show hosts, news anchors, and game show hosts. That said, tall people slowly took over service roles such as interns, janitors, garbage men and public safety jobs; when they decide to rise up once more, the nation will be powerless to stop them. They've become so integral to modern life, if they quit their jobs, America falls into chaos.
I think the picture shows for Tall Girl 1 and Tall Girl 2 are some of the best content on this channel. If the full commentary is as good as these videos are for the whole runtime, I'd be very tempted to contribute to the Patreon.
This gives me a great idea for a horror movie where people start hearing voices when they reach a certain height. The taller they get, the more tortured they become. Only the short people are spared the insanity. Somebody get on that.
I'm still waiting for the Tall Girl Multiverse where she teams up with Strong boy, Smart kid, Fast corpse and Nice baby in order to defeat their archenemy, Regular Human.
Is this a thing that only happens in media because it’s dumb? It makes no sense. The word ‘anniversary’ literally implies a year not a month or two weeks.
Tall girl is a pretty bad flick, but it's nowhere near as bad as the room. Tall girl is just a bad film from 2019. The room is truly incomprehensible. Being shot on both digital and film, no professional screenwriting, shooting in unnecessary locations, fights on set, etc.
Is anyone going to state the obvious? No? Okay... How did they get Jake from State Farm to insult Ms.Tall girl? Not even State Farm gave him insurance on those ice cream toppings :(
Ok. Here is my two cents about "teen-drama" I hate that people assume that our greatest issues in life is school drama, from my experience (I went to both a 500 person k-12 school and to a 4000 person 9-12 school) our greatest concern is both family life, personal issues (depression, anxiety, social connection, Friendships, and SOME romantic experiments), and academic achievement. There were quite a few people in my last high school (the 4k one) that were well over 6'1 hell I'd say some reached about 7' based on how their head touched the ceiling. NO ONE legit NO ONE gave a damn about their hight. Hell, you'd be lucky to go noticed in such a school. The only way people would know you is if you did morning announcements or were a super high-grade student who did lots of APs. Actually, no one gave a shit about physical attraction, especially in the AP world. That community was toxic due to how much pressure there was to be the "best". I'd like to see a decent representation of teen life, not this stupid wishy-washy annoying "intrusive thoughts" because everyone has those and it isn't special or "concerning" what is concerning is the depression and anxiety. Have any of these filmmakers stopped by a highschool to WATCH what real teenagers do? Watch how many legs are shaking during a test, read the graffiti on the bathroom walls? How about watching a class to see how the teachers actually teach? Or how much work is assigned? What about the stigmas for the students that are AP and those that are "behind"? What about the SATs and ACTs? What about the kids that can't fucking keep up with all this shit so they smoke weed in the bathroom and knock out in class? Or the kids that disappear for months or weeks because they have no home or their parents can't take them to school. What about the kids that come to school in bruises and marks from abuse? Or the kids that have to do it all on their own because they are 1st generation? What about all the strange culture-stigmas and group-stigmas with Blacks and Hispanics and International students? I want to see that kind of film. A realistic one. Also. Very few kids make out in public, some do, but it isn't common. Also sex isn't on the forefront of everyone's mind, sexuality is. We are growing into our sexual orientation and experience comes slowly. Granted we all have different rates. I want to see kids that came from middle school and are still dating in HS, or what about the kids that crush on their teachers but can't do shit about it because it is wrong and they just have to ignore their feelings? What about the kids that come from messed up backgrounds that have no clue how to feel about sex? I want a clumsy make out not porn-star level shit. What happened to shaky hands and nervous laughter and mis coordinated moves?
I'm right with you, Tia. It's rough, but never for the reasons you see on TV. You've got most of the pieces already - write it! I bet you'd do a great job.
Hello Marcus from The Cosmonaut Variety Hour, I was hoping to contact you regarding your request for a new movie franchise to review. It was really hard for me to determine if there are any good franchises even left to review. However, I came to the conclusion that the movie franchise with the most consistent quality in the modern era is the "Garfield" franchise. I would suggest starting with live action films, 'Garfield (2004)' and 'Garfield: A Tale of Two Kitties (2006)'. Also make sure to watch the post credits scene of Zombieland 2, that's important so you don't get lost. After that, you continue your viewing with the beginning of the animated films, 'Garfield Gets Real (2007)'. After that is what I think many consider the "black sheep" of the franchise, 'Garfield's Fun Fest (2008)'. Finally, you actually get to watch a superhero movie anyways with 'Garfield's Pet Force (2009)'. That will conclude your viewing of the whole franchise. You can purchase 'Garfield Kart' on Steam if you need to pregame or something. I hope to hear back from you soon.
3:46 This is the third review on this movie I’ve watched and you’re the first people to point out that it’s been two years between the movies. That boy has grown like 6 inches in those two years. The height difference from the last movie is so dramatically different. Foreign exchange students tend to stay for the entire school year. So 3 months isn’t very long. I can’t unsee the orange and blue now!
I like how instead of focusing on like the discrimination she’s face as a woman or someone with anxiety they focus on the systemic prejudice against people who are slightly taller than average
There's a girl at my school who is 6'3 and everyone thinks she's the coolest person on the planet. So to me, it's so goofy to see this girl being ostracized for being kind of tall. Shit's more unrealistic than a superhero movie Edit: Igot Soares just murdered a man
Ah yes, anecdotal evidence is so useful. In my country many girls have issues being tall which is backed up by statistics. Usually a movie should make the main protagonist be likable. Especially if she's supposed to be the victim of bullying. So either this an author insert who doesn't know how mean her character behaves, or the main actor plays herself.
I disagree about how "usually" a main protagonist should be likeable. I've seen great movies where the main character is super unlikeable. But this movie does seem as though it isn't aware of how she is unlikeable which is a problem.
The writer wants to portray themselves as the victim but inadvertently portrays the opposite, perhaps. Like Twilight, it reads like the pathetic fantasy of someone with no self-awareness.
This is the most perfect timing. I just found out about the existence of the sequel yesterday, and immediately wondered if you'd be making a video about it like you did the first one.

Tall is a good trait. That’s like making a movie called “Strong Boy”.
And his best friend “guy whose teeth are too white”
I mean yeah being tall is a good thing but not always for women. Most of the time we get masculinize if we’re too tall and some of us don’t like that. Men are expected to be tall and women are expected to be small. I pretty sure you could understand why a guy would complain about being "too short", well for women it’s the opposite. The issue is more that she’s not THAT tall.

Ok. Here is my two cents about "teen-drama"
I hate that people assume that our greatest issues in life is school drama, from my experience (I went to both a 500 person k-12 school and to a 4000 person 9-12 school) our greatest concern is both family life, personal issues (depression, anxiety, social connection, Friendships, and SOME romantic experiments), and academic achievement.
I use this series to experience movies I could never bring myself to watch. Thank you Marcus, you truly bring the light of cringe into my life
Hello Marcus from The Cosmonaut Variety Hour, I was hoping to contact you regarding your request for a new movie franchise to review.

I agree, live action Garfield needs to be on the Picture Show

Foreign exchange students tend to stay for the entire school year. So 3 months isn’t very long.
I can’t unsee the orange and blue now!
I like how instead of focusing on like the discrimination she’s face as a woman or someone with anxiety they focus on the systemic prejudice against people who are slightly taller than average
There's a girl at my school who is 6'3 and everyone thinks she's the coolest person on the planet. So to me, it's so goofy to see this girl being ostracized for being kind of tall. Shit's more unrealistic than a superhero movie

Ah yes, anecdotal evidence is so useful. In my country many girls have issues being tall which is backed up by statistics. Is it because that literally one of the first things said by the protagonist in this series was "Do you think you have a problem? Well, I'm tall!"? Noooo, we are probably just fake tolerant. How dare us not sympathize with a perfeclty fine and priviledged pretty white girl who's so self-centered that she thinks no one has it worse than her?
