I’m definitely a g-body lover and I have no issue with people throwing a mean V8 under the hood, but this V6 is such a killer and it’s truly fantastic to hear that it’s a 3.8!! Ring Brothers can’t go wrong in a build. I absolutely LOVE their attention to detail and frankly their approach to pushing back on the customer when they feel it would compromise the build. I’d probably donate body parts to drive this!
The Ringbrothers omakase style process is really something special. When the right client comes along and trusts the process, the results never disappoint.
Ring Brothers attention to detail is unmatched! Their builds are phenomenal. Love hearing the stories of the customer’s wants and the push back balance….
The form and flow is what I appreciate from RingBrothers. Very high quality parts from what I've seen. There seems to be a more proper appreciation for the roots of most parts/styles and the homage is paid forward with modern material/manufacturing. yw
I love your interviews and seeing the respect you get from the builders that you feature. Thank the LORD that they left this as close to OE as they did. He's so right when kept saying "People love these cars for a reason(s)". It's the V6 turbo and so on. He didn't do anything any different in if the car was built today. It would have the twin turbos and analog gauges. I could see GM repurposing the hood insert and so on. Thanks for this! And OMG to those air jacks!!!!
Buddy Ingersoll was running a twin turbo v6 Buick back in the mid 80’s in the pro stock class. A lot of people have never heard of him but he was pioneering with the turbos. He was running up against 500ci big blocks and shutting them down. He was running in the low 7’s in the quarter back in ‘86.
I don't know about yall but I can hear the frustration from Mike's voice. Him and his brother or artists. You dont tell a painter how to paint. You just let the artist do what he do.
Thought the was really cool until I seen the Duchboys build. Fit and finish and details especially the roll cage just nuts. That one should have this engine. 😊
Great video as always, awesome build. I will say the air jacks lifting the rear 1st looks sketchy. Maybe it was on purpose for the show and they normally all operate at the same time.
Seems like this year all the major names in car builders the cars look over the top wide body with funky colors it's nice to see Ring Brothers bring a restomod that kept the styling and lines that made the Grand National.
Thank goodness it kept the V6 platform, for some reason I become instantly less interested when a GNX or Grand national has an LS even if it has turbos.
I fell like the name of the car comes from the fact that, if Darth Vader ever had a car it would have been a GNX. Although the Chevy Impala SS of the 90's was advertised as his car. With the line of "Lord Vader, your car is ready"
those are perfect clone of the E36 m3. the ringbrothers has been the best car builders for the past 10+ years. guys like my 2 hero's Boyd coddington and Troy trepanier to me are the fathers of restomods. troys Chicayne to me is the only car I'd put up against a ringbros car. every car since the internet that I've seen from the ringbros could be pulled into SEMA today a be a rival for any car there. the process and materials are different and each car they just get better at being f-ing awesome. this car is to me the ultimate ringbros build followed by recoil. im a '74 baby so the GN is my dream. my dad took me to a local dealer that had a gnx for 15 years and I would go drool on it every couple weeks for all of those 15 years. to tell you that these guys have the best customers no disrespect to the Dutch boys a RS GN's but they are really just g-body regals. GN's have a turbo 6...period. to build cars that are so clean and sano and they have a responsibility to build the cars that meet their standard. its utterly extraordinary. this is the most weapons grade badass mofo GN on this planet. hands down. outstanding job gents!!! cheers
Props to the owner for keeping it a 3.8 V6. Sick build.
Agreed. Definitely more expensive to make that level of power that way but retains more of the original soul of the car IMO.
If it was an LS swap, they could all F themselves
If it's built by Kenny D. & making this kind of power it's not cheap & it's probably a 109 factory cast block. How much $$ are we talking? $50k motor?
I love the V6 TT also!
@Gmachine231 he said Kenny used a billet block on it...that hogan intake is wild.
Understated but “over the top” at the same time. The Ringbrothers are masters at their craft.
Never seen an interview with him. Always insane vehicles, but he is extremely humble. Love to see it.
Kenny Duttweiler is a turbo legend
Ring brothers always bringing that heat
Plus, they've always come across as humble.

Love they kept the v6
As a fellow Wisconsin citizen, we are thankful for the Ring brothers!
Ring Brothers>Unique Performance
Holly hell that what you call craftsmanship.. well done guys great work again
The wheels set off the whole car for sure
Really glad the customer trusted their judgement. The car turned out great.
The Ringbrothers omakase style process is really something special. When the right client comes along and trusts the process, the results never disappoint.

Absolutely magnificent work yet again from Ringbrothers!

They are in a class by themselves
They do just amazing job with resto mods ❤❤
Top 5 in the show...... its so understated but at the same time pure 💥💥💥
Great move the V6 is essential for this car
I love your interviews and seeing the respect you get from the builders that you feature.

You couldn't ask for a better take in the Grand National, this is Ring Bros detail all day.
Kenny dutwiler ftw...man what a friggin wild v6...glad they stuck to a v6.
That’s my favorite car of the entire sema show this year
I absolutely love all the Ring Brothers Cars...
Larry you are always a breath of fresh air my brother.
Hope you are well.
Another beautiful build by the Ringbrothers. Love it!
MAN DAMN !!!! This thing is absolutely gorgeous. I had an 86 T-Type and I miss the hell out of that car one day I am going to own another one.
I don't know about yall but I can hear the frustration from Mike's voice. Him and his brother or artists. You dont tell a painter how to paint. You just let the artist do what he do.
Tastefully done and timeless improvements. I love the bumpers being made out of aluminum. What a beautiful car.
The Ring rose, are my favorite car builders really cool guys.
Nice 😊😊😊😊v6 3.8 stock setup phenomenal
Saw the video on my feed and thought “another grand national, I’m good” Then I noticed it was Larry’s video. I watched and wasn’t disappointed
Watched a video of the Dutchbrothers GNXS…twin turbo LS…pretty nice…but this…this is…words escape me…
Dutchboys GNXS is way better than this one
@ yeah…the fitted roll cage is nuts and the magnetized bits are kinda futuristic…
Thought the was really cool until I seen the Duchboys build. Fit and finish and details especially the roll cage just nuts. That one should have this engine. 😊
The Dutchboys killed it. Their build is better IMO
I agree the Dutch boys did a better job
You rock Larry!
God if only we could get stuff like this in the UK, that would be just perfect!
We just get incredibly cheesy TH-cam channels that are unwatchable.
Thanks Larry! The Ring Brothers always deliver a great product. Quote of the video, “we can’t afford what we build”.
It’s like OEM ++ I love it
That exhaust exit housing alone is just insane
Thank you for all your hard work Larry, and thank you for all the heat that you’ve been posting over the last week!
Perfect , I wouldn't change a thing , thanks for sharing with us Larry !
Larry, you got to do more coverage of all of the Midwest custom builders shops
I was there at the reveal and it was something man.
So freakin awesome 🔥🔥
What an amazing car, I could see myself cruising in it alongside you Larry !
I absolutely love this channel
Great video as always, awesome build. I will say the air jacks lifting the rear 1st looks sketchy. Maybe it was on purpose for the show and they normally all operate at the same time.

Allways very high quality. Pleasure to watch!
I always loved the Buick GS models.
Love your Choices of words Larry!!!
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL
One of the incredibly few shops who just get it.
When you understand car modification to the point of a master calligrapher and know when to flick your brush just right.
Thank goodness it kept the V6 platform, for some reason I become instantly less interested when a GNX or Grand national has an LS even if it has turbos.
Those HRE BMW wheels are so good.
Style 22, e36 and Z3
Motor is wild
I absolutely love this car. I kinda think the steering wheel doesn't fit. But wow.
I fell like the name of the car comes from the fact that, if Darth Vader ever had a car it would have been a GNX. Although the Chevy Impala SS of the 90's was advertised as his car. With the line of "Lord Vader, your car is ready"
Great interview 👍🏽
Hope to maybe see this car at a Road America morning drive seeing that license plate 👍
I’m interested in buying that front bumper and rear bumper. I wonder if they’re going to sell that on their website those bumpers are incredible.
I love this 😀 does anybody know about how much this cost to make?? 200,000? Or more?
Love the ring brothers cars but I can’t get enough of the roadster shop currently there on a different level
Right?!?! Roadster shop built the best *Buick* this year🏆…Maybe because the ringbrothers’ client was a difficult one?
Killer Mike *heavily breathing
One of my fav builds !
Not gone lie I LOVE this car, but that c8 in the background 👀
sorry Ring Bros.. DUTCH BOYS got you this year!
go check out their SEMA GNX-S
For Sure, Dutch Boys from Vicksburg MI. is killing the Mod game and had a Killer build at SEMA
As far as the Name, a memory bubbled up from my childhood… A GN magazine ad that read “Lord Vader, your car is ready”
Thanks for this video Larry, I was concerned about searching google images for the ‘ring brothers invader’
Such a stunning car!
Love a Grand National.
thanks a lot for share thats great video..

Can we get a better look at Tyler's face when he realizes the car has air jacks?
The cage isnt tucked at all 😂😂
It's like the V6 version of the Roadster Shop build for a customer.
Mans said Larry Chin 14:33
That’s my dream car. I’m in love.
As a wisco boi, love me some black RA plates haha
I thought the original came with a 4.3? But I guess the 3.8 was very common in the Buicks back then.
HRE old style M contour super sick build
Now this is how you build a GN, TURBO V6 screams grand national, not Buick regal. Some people just don't understand
Color is perfect
Super clean build Larry, love the GNX 💨 🌀
Thoes are some TINY housings on the rear of the turbo? The gates look giant , so does the compressor cover by comparison.
When he said builders aren't rich, we can't afford what we build either...has to be the most humble brag I've heard lol
it reminds me of my grandmother Buick Regal, metalic brown
I think they should build this , to sell in today’s market.
Its only because of ring brothers that I began to like american muscle.
Those guys really turn out the best stuff. Love that car but the rear wheel placement in the arches would bother me if it was mine.
So basically do what you want forget what the owner wanted.
#CrazeWork
🫡 RING BRO’S 🐐🐐🐐‼️
Fucking AIR JACKS. HELL yes! Instant awesome.
All cars, trucks, and SUVs should have air jacks.
vvin for the win
I wantone of their shirts !!!!!!!!!!
All these sex bots in the comment section 😂
You have great success in field expertise, the value provide is unique in beauty🥰
My attempt at a sex bot from Kazakhstan
I’ll take that as a compliment.
That's all my girlfriend's bro
Unfortunately most car enthusiasts are also Simps
I found it crazy that he can't afford his own builds 😮
So just for giggles how much would it take to build a Ring Brothers SEMA Bad boy?
🤤
