AGI already exists is GPT4, COPILOT, GEMINI, MISTRAL, CLAUDE, but now they have not eyes, ears, skin, Spinal Cord, body and Motors to change our world and that is what is changing this guy of Nvidia with a more powerful chip.

Tesla no longer has a monopoly or edge on this area. BYD, Nvidia, Figure 1. especially, Nvidia looks like becoming the real competitor that Tesla can't beat easily. Nvidia almost completed full vertical integration of the whole AI eco system and stacks with many partners. sounds like Tesla is in big trouble. other competitors can catch up Tesla fast now using Nvidia's platform..

That is, they run the robots for you and fix anything that goes wrong, and you never lose your workforce. For a fee. But for the population, I don't think Nvidia will get what they want. Someone will just make a FOSS version and then nobody has to pay rent. I'd certainly never run an Nvidia robot in my house. I feel like I'm missing a lot here (read Noob). How is this mind blowing? Nvidia built AV hardware for many years and it was the initially considered by Tesla before they built their own custom SOC in Hardware 2. Tesla said they did this to have more vertical integration and achieve optimizations the Nvidia chip could not because it was required to serve many customers various needs. Wouldn't the story be the same here? Sure the simulators may be more universal, but the local inference compute hardware will have to be generic enough to support all robotics companies which means there will naturally be suboptimizations. What am I missing?

    • @CodepageNet
      @CodepageNet หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      yes, you're missing something. the big take-away here is, that NVIDIA has developped an interface between multimodal AI and control of bots. you may not recognize the importance, but this is HUGE. what you've seen from bots until a few weeks ago was more or less, sometimes completely preprogrammed. this changes everything also because it makes this kind of advanced motion control accessible to everybody.

      Except Tesla on not "one of", it's "the". Tesla was first, has orders of magnitude more resources, the best engineers, tons of experience with designing industrial robots and real-world AI (FSD), capable of mass producing robots in-house, and use robots in-house. Tesla also has everything that Nvidia has, including AI accelerators (Dojo) and this training sim too. These advantages are insurmountable.
      Nvidia is at a disadvantage because they have to develop a generalized platform that supports many users, while Tesla can optimize everything to their own specific use case. The FSD computer in the Tesla cars are far more powerful than Nvidia's similar solution, at least at the same power consumption. And efficiency is very important for self-driving cars and humanoid robot too.

This is the right moment to show people they are going serious with this and to show their already good robotic body design connected to an LLM like Grok, understanding human speech and reacting in consequence. In other words, they must start to Incarnation of the Inteligence in their robot body this year, yeap, it was expected to happen in 2026 or 2027 but competence is scaling up so fast that they need to accelerate to crazy levels.
