I can't agree with that . I teach in a very isolated area kid's prononciation is a mess i believe that we should devote a whole lesson to prononciation or at least half a session . I didn't like the yearly learning plan at all btw

I thought that silent H and D are omitted from the second year English programme and instead they've integrated the pronunciation of diphthongs /ei / , /ai/ in the yearly planning

I confirm tht 15 mnts are not enough to present a whole pronunciation lesson you are forgetting that learners must do the drilling activity which would take at least 5 mnts let alone solving a task related to the pronunciation lesson..( I may agree that a quarter is far enough for only those brilliant learners.. ) thanks for Sharing

It can work...sometimes,not always...The major problem is that grammar and pronunciation are tested and marked( test and exam)..them alone are worth of 7 points!!so they need more dedication Plus,some pronunciation lessons need more than that eg. Diphthongs,consonant clusters,silent r,etc..furthermore, it's doing two seperate difficulties in one lesson!
