- Note: This is the vocal adaptation of this song. The song is not mine, but the lyrics and the vocals in this version are mine. These lyrics mean more to me than I can even explain, so please keep in mind that the lyrics came from this video, not any other video. I'm incredibly bothered by the fact that these lyrics have been attributed to other people, especially if their covers are more popular/well known. Please understand that I put my entire heart and soul into these lyrics, and even this recording of them carries my entire heart and soul in them. They do mean the world to me. Thank you.
Omake Pfadlib is one of my favorite OSTs from Shingeki. It's so gorgeous and heartbreaking and so I wanted to try to make it more heartbreaking. ...w-well it hurt my heart, at least OTL...

I had no idea the original lyrics were yours! I don’t keep up on SNK anymore, and I genuinely thought the lyrics were just from the original. Really impressive. 💛💛💛

I can't explain it, but when i listen to this, my pain goes to the song and it makes me feel a weird feeling, like if the song is suffering with me and i think that's just so beautiful.
this is actually why I wrote these lyrics. They mean a lot to me, because I put a lot of deeper meaning and feeling into it instead of it just being about fighting Titans. I appreciate that you understand what kind of emotions I transferred into this! Thanks a lot for understanding ; v ;

"In this world full of cruelty /// The world is dark, the world is cruel, but still we hang on tight" was hinting at Mikasa, because of her constant “cruel but beautiful world” motif and how Eren’s speech gives her the strength to keep fighting.
“Do we lack the strength to fight? Have we lost the will to fly?” I hinted at Hannis’ heartbreaking speech when he told Eren that while Eren has the guts but no strength to save his mother, he had the strength but no guts to.

up until now I have only listened to Lizz sing this. but after I heard she didn't write the lyrics, I searched for the owner and found u. now the only person I'm going to listen to sing this song is u. TLDR; I thought of many different characters at different points of the song. I put way too much thought into stuff and I’m sure pretty much no one notices but it’s okay I’m an overthinker and proud.

I often think of Levi when listening, but it can be applied just as well to many other characters.

you know miss aqua, whenever I watch something my ear just never stopped searching for a good melody and once this OST played, I just... get a heartbreak. It was 2013 back then, the show has just finished and I'm looking for every single OSTs it has. I found your cover, and the lyrics are just indescribable. Exactly what I wished for. You touch my heart, I always take a deep breath whenever I listen to your cover. I downloaded it to my playlist. But once in awhile I came back to the song by your channel, just to appreciate it. And today is one of those days. Thank you miss aqua, for creating such a deep lyrics where people are going to sit there and shed tears while remembering all the opportunities we have missed, people we ignored, and a world that's too cruel.

DO you even know how much my heart pains right now? Damn. These words are just so powerful and so true to both the tragic story of snk and the world itself its crazy. I was honestly so taken aback at first I didn't even do anything, but then all the feels came for the deaths, for the characters, for the tragedies, for the whole show, just everything, and I realized how astounding the lyrics are even though they are so simple.
This is also one of my favorite tracks in snk and even though I thought I couldn't fall more in love with the ost, here you go and prove me wrong. I'm never going to hear it without thinking of your lyrics again xD. Thank you for sharing such an unbelievable (and extremely tear jerking) version of this song. I don’t know how you managed to create these lyrics, but you must really have a deep understanding of the emotions and themes conveyed in Attack on Titan, because these lyrics pretty much predicted the future ie what is happening now in the manga (chapter 138). The guy where I heard this first noticed that a certain "aqua" made this. I looked for the Omake Pfadlip Aqua but could not find it. Now it turned up in my recommendations and I am happy cause now I can be certain about the lyrics as you actually have them in the description. Thank you for that!
And do not get me wrong with the things I am gonna point out now. First, I sing myself, but I do not see myself as the artist behind stuff I practice and sing as I have never written a song myself. But as I love to sing stuff that to me is art I have the opinion that it does not matter at all if a singer writes his own songs. What matters is if the singer is a good messager of what the writer wanted us to feel and think about. This song for example. I am happy and thankful you wrote it, but I like the cover of it I heard more because with his rougher male voice in that depressed tone it seemed like Levi was singing this song. And Levi singing about this to tell us about his inner pain would be incredibly thematic don't you think?

The whole point in me mentioning this, actually, was to kinda cut some slack for those who decided not to fight. I mean, that’s pretty scary. And just deciding to live in a world with such danger at their feet constantly is pretty brave too, in my opinion.
"Inside this bitter cage, all the flowers wilt down in the crimson sky" refers to the ongoing theme in the anime where the flowers represent people who grow in the light and innocence and slowly die off as the series goes on.

You know, the oddest thing happened to me the other day.
I was finished with my classes, and was walking to my dorm. I was randomly singing this song under my breath, when I saw a truck break down. I kept walking and singing. As I sang the last line, "we must keep fighting," the truck started. I found it odd, because the man driving it wouldn't give up. XD It freaked me out a little.
