Start with explaining to your viewers why there is 3 channels as you call them (preheat, soldering and dwelltime) and what the device is used for. That would be a much better video.
I dont like this product since it is missing a setable timer for each step of temperature.
Anyway I gave you a thumps up, for your time spend.

Hey there, you have a great point there and it was a missed oportunity, lesson learned for future videos. I was so focused in making understand how the "channels" work (for me they're presets, but it whats written on the heat plate), that I completely forgot to talk about those 3 channels/presets are. Thanks for sharing this and this was a really helpful post! 🤜🤛👍

Just add the solder paste and parts at once … I preheat with another hot plate at lower temp for no termal shock and then add to final step with temp set a bit above the melting point. Here you did it very wrong lol.

HI! Thats a nice tip, thank you for sharing, I agree that I am a totally noob in terms of heat plate soldering, but always improving is my moto 😁 I will receive from Miniware for review in a few days the MPH30 mini hot plate, let's if I do a better job in the video. Thanks for watching and your help! 👍

Would it be acceptable to heat up to low temp with heat plate and soak then after that time applying final melting temp with hot air gun for a brief amount of time?
      edit: if its worth mentioning it's for a 85mm x 85mm pcb with a bout a 30mm x 30mm section of smd components includuing a quartz oscillator

Thanks for the review Hugo. I think this product would have been perfect if it had settable timers for each channel. But apart from that i think its good value.

Hey Khuong, good point! Another sub already mentioned that also, for the price seemed ok, I looked at similar products in the same price range and didn't notice that feature in any of them... maybe I failed in my research, anywat I'm counting to do a DIY heatplate project, it will have that 😁 thanks for watching 👍

Hola! Sorry, written spanish is all I know :) I can read pretty well but can't create a sentence. Regarding the rebailing, will work for it, but please notice this has a big area. If you need to concentrate more the heat, take a look in this video/equipment ( th-cam.com/video/v7jq0bd3aHs/w-d-xo.html ) it might be more efficient for what you want. Thanks for watching.

You can't melt your paste before populating, you need to place your components on the paste then heat for it to reflow properly.. Replace this video with one where you do it correctly. Nobody should be copying this.

I bought this and it works. But it seems the temperature overshoots a lot. I.e. I set it to 160 and it heats up to 175. At least that is the temperature which is shown on the front panel.

Hey Edgar, Mine seems to work ok, it stoped always at desired temperature. Meanwhile I bought a thermometer to test the heat on the heat plate, since I will receive soon a Miniware mine plate also to test and I would like to test it in temperature accuracy also. I will do a review on both new items soon and probably while reviewing the thermometer I will test mine again to check the temperature accuracy, anyway, thanks for watching and shareing, I really appreciate that! 👍

@@TechCornerTV I am looking forward to your new video. I tried to measure the temperature with an IR camera module (about 200SUD). It show not even half of the set temperature on that aluminum plate (at least in daylight). I am 90% sure that is a problem with my, maybe many, IR cameras.

Never understood why some people turn music up louder then their voice..
Personally I then mute such videos, enable subtitles and just skip through to important parts.
And do NOT explore channel contents - as other videos are probably just as unpleasant.

Hi, sorry the late reply, trying to keep up with the comments, not easy. I've removed most of the music nowadays and I keep it to a minimum, I hope those last videos are better. Thank you for your feedback and also for watching.
