- Heavy full metal old Märklin locomotive 3023 from long ago,
represents the Deutsche Bundesbahn model E18,
here pulling three Märklin 4037 tinplate coaches.
The layout is of course set to analog mode.
Always great to see a vehicle driving on your layout, that truck runs very realistically! The locomotive and cars look so cool and the awesome scenery details on your layout is perfect. 👍👍

Yes, the trains are old-school and the overall environment is far from photo-realism (I could say that wouldn't fit with these trains...), but the interesting thing is that there's something more here than the usual 'toy' charm of these old German models. I like the camera angles, specifically the views overlooking the station near the beginning and end. There, I'm no longer paying attention to the abstraction and thinking "This looks like it would be an interesting trainspotting location if it were real." I was surprised when the green bridge turned out to be a road rather than a railway, and that also happened to make that scene more believable.

Très belle loco qui semble rouler sur le réseau de Joël (TrainIride). I found the 3024 (Green one) in quasi mint condition like yours. I find the blue version much prettier.

I also have the 3024 green one but used a lot, and with a lot of signs of wear.
The previous owner of the 3024 had converted it to three rails DC, and so a lot of original parts were missing, I had to put back the reversing unit, and rewire it correctly :

Grundsätzlich schon mal ganz nett anzusehen! Schade nur, dass der "Fahrstrom" nicht tatsächlich aus der Oberleitung entnommen wird (kleine Blitze und Funken)! Dann wäre das Video gleich noch viel sehenswerter! Ein Grund, der dagegen sprechen würde, ist nicht ersichtlich. Die Pantographen der gezeigten E-Lok liegen am Fahrdraht gut an und dieser scheint auch ordentlich verlegt worden zu sein. - Vielleicht ließe sich das ja für die nächste Aufnahme noch umsetzen; der dadurch gegebene Effekt wäre es allemal wert ...

Die Federn des Stromabnehmers sind müde und drückten nicht ausreichend auf die Oberleitung. Die Lokomotive blieb zufällig stehen. Ich habe neue Federn bestellt ! Das wird beim nächsten Mal gut sein !

@@2mes2mains Besten Dank, ich habe bereits ein "Abo" geschaltet! Schließlich darf ich auch noch anmerken, dass ich die "alte Märklin-Oberleitung" hinsichtlich Optik und insbesondere der Funktionalität für die Modellbahn am ausgereiftesten betrachte! Die neue mag bzgl. "ZickZack" gut gemeint sein, verfehlt das Konzept gegenüber dem realen Vorbild aber völlig! Alleine die kurzen Abstände der Haltemasten in engeren Radien empfinde ich als sehr ungeeignet und optischen Fehlschlag! - Bis hoffentlich bald, dann zu den "kleinen blauen Blitzen und Funken" ... -))

Ich liebe auch die alte Oberleitung und sie funktioniert sehr gut.
Ich werde versuchen, Funken zu erzeugen, aber ich verspreche nichts, weil ich sie nicht oft gesehen habe, außer beim Fahren des alten E44, nachdem die Oberleitung etwas oxidiert war, nach etwas zu viel Ruhe. Es war eine wunderschöne Show!

Cette bleue est la dernière Serie avant suppression du catalogue on en trouve encore en Suisse et Allemagne neuves en boites longtemps distribuées des annees Apres leur disparition du catalogue , j'en ai achetée une à Genève plus de dix ans apres .MARKLIN en refabriqyecdes petites séries de temps à autre elle et la E 44 tout .metal ex 800 il y en aura toujours
Existe en vert et en rouge ( ex DReichbahn)
j'ai aussi restauré une 3024 de 1959
Sûrement pas la plus belle des E 18 Mais elle a plus de 60 ans Mais ....dans 60 ans elle marchera toujours ...les autres des autres marques ...Non! !! Vive Maerklin
pour moi, ces modèles anciens avec leurs ampoules en guise de phare on tellement de charme.
