This version is my favorite of many versions too. This one was made to "Outfunk" Arethra and her style. Marvin's is cool, same as temptations and CCR, but this one is in my opinion MILES and LIGHTYEARS away. A sad concept, brought to life, with happiness and smiles. Just like reality! It ain't all happy and sad, it's a mix of both!
