Great video. I am visiting Cape Town for holiday and interested in the bridge and abandoned engineering. I was planning to take my drone down tomorrow and grab some footage, but think I will pass on this now 😮. Again great vid 👍
As a kid, we lived in Pinelands; was exploring with my brothers one day, rode our bikes to the end of Ringwood Drive, across Clyde Pinelands and walked under the N2. Halfway through under the bridge we see some skollies sizing us up from the other side. They were half hidden, keeping still. We turned around. Now we live in Australia. It's very safe. This might sound strange but it's so safe it's boring.
In South African you can't get robbed in townships in a broad day light, because of community justice. But in CBD like Johannesburg, Pretoria you can get robbed in a broad day light
I actually walked there with my girlfriend a few years ago, it did really make us feel out of place when going there hey. Actually we were warned not to go to the bridge. Ended up going and met a few friendly homeless people whom obviously we gave our sandwiches to. 😅😅😅 Great experience but I would never do it again
Hi. Thanks for great video. I am a reverend staying in Potch. Because of lockdown al my sermons is online ons TH-cam and Facebook. This sunday I am telling the story of the Foreshore freeway bridge that isn't completed that we see in this video. The drone footage that you took is amazing. I want to get your permission to use some of this footage if possible? Like you know it enhances the story you tell. If you give permission I wil obviously give you recognition on the video for the footage. Please let me know. Thank you very much. Jac
A long time! LOL This is a topic I have been eyeing for a while now! I look forward to making more content on personal finance. Keep an eye out for the videos!
Correction ...Cape town is very safe compared to most parts of SA...like any place in the world you just need to common sense...like you wouldn't be walking on an unfinished bridge with vagrants living underneath all by yourself with an expensive drone...duhhh
Haha you are very correct. I was very negligent to expect the areas I passed through to be safe. I just didn't expect this specific area to be problematic at broad daylight during rush hour... but defn going to be much more careful when I explore.
@@trying2adult ....lol its cool bro, no judgement here..I'm the last person to play judge ...I'm an airport taxi and tour driver ...just don't like this beautiful place to get a bad rap unfairly. I remember my first visit to CT in 2008 and seeing that unfinished bridge. Stuck in my head

The level of “minding my own business” is too much ! 😂
Enara Vambe 😂 SA takes the bystander effect to a whole new level!

Great information. Interesting facts. Now I know how to handle myself when I visit Capetown!!
Haha make sure to stay safe and away from trouble and you'll be fine. It's a great place here.
@@trying2adult yo. I was in joberg in February for three weeks and I loved it. I'm from NYC and I will be back in February and will hit Capetown.
Feb is great time to visit the city. Great summer weather, the sun sets after 20:00. You'll definitely enjoy it!
It's def not safe if you put yourself in danger, it's a drone can fly from anywhere. Great video never the less. Thanks for sharing ❤
Good thing you had on your running shoes
Right! Duuude I was so lucky I'm never putting myself in such a situation again.

So lekker to listen to a well spoken person, liked your presentation
In P.E there is also unfinished Freeway Bridge. Good quality video.
Here for the Quality Content. Yaaaas to the history lesson!
Sibulele Hlongwane 🤗🤗🤗 thank you! It's crazy how much history is surrounding us in Cape Town!
We have an unfinished bridge like that in port elizabeth
That's pretty interesting I wonder how many unfinished bridges there are in SA. I hope they can finish them in the coming years.

good content for town planners, holla njayam..nice work
We'd rather take videos of the incident to show other people how it happened. I give up on my people! 😂😂😂
great content, as a south African I've learned so much from you. The drone footage looks awesome. What's your editing software?
Thank you Marschliono! I use Adobe Premier Pro for editing my videos...occasionally I use Adobe Rush or Videoleap when I edit on my phone.
@@trying2adult Where can one learn how to use these video editing software?
Those were Zimbabweans with their Shona Language they are here for that, that is their line of work my brother
Great video! Had to subscribe since you almost got robbed for this video
Sibu: that makes the two of us. Quite interesting
Shame you've also been mugged? How did it happen?
That’s so true! People will literally watch you get robbed.
Zizo Chuma SA invented the bystander effect 😅
I just watched a video of some young cats playing MTN bike polo on the thing.

congratulations for flying your drone in a restricted no-fly zone..... no wonder drone laws are becoming more and more restrictive
it's not a restricted area
