Deer don't care. Metal was protected from factory. I just built a 6x6 with scraps and old windows from a house I tore down and it's a little small for me and 1 grandson. Next one will be bigger. You got a new sub, keep up the good content
Awesome project build. It is really helpful for viewers to see ALL the hard WORK, MONEY, and TIME that goes into building a blind that big. It's not a fast project nor an easy one. But the final results you have with your blind is over the top spectacular. I want to see some follow up footage when you guys get everything set up on the interior. And most of all, I hope to see some future footage of a few nice kills made from this blind. Good luck this hunting season.
Love your vids and enjoy watching the progress on new property I’ve been a painter for 33 you can use a brush to cut in before your spray will help you save tape and time
I'm really digging it. I would have installed the steel the other direction and then primed and then painted or just done some T11 wood and painted that for sure. Then I would have insulated underneath and done the 2x2 carpet tiles. I love this build through and through though
Love it! Thank you for Part 2, and the Good Lord knows we've a;ll been there at minute 12, where something didn't go right. But ya got it pulled back together and looks great!
Great video Peter, im suprised you dont have more subscribers. You put out such good content and I enjoy the longer videos too. You take it to the next level with your style and dedication. The only thing i was worried about were the sheets on the wall, im afraid of red wasps and dirt dobbers, and lady bugs of getting in there and making your early season hunts miserable. But im in Arkansas and we have plenty of them. Awesome job, love the videos and your uniquness...
You did the best you could and you know what they say shit happens . I know you wanted the blind to look good but you gotta stay positive and keep working as best as you can . I'll bet at the end of this video it'll look awesome 😎👍
Next time wash the metal with TSP (found at any paint or hardware store) and add emalsa-bond (made by Flood company) additive to the paint. It is a glue like additive.
You should do an over night challenge in it before deer season starts that would be cool and it would let you see how comfortable it will for them during the rut all hunts
It’s bad ass man don’t let these negative comments ruin your dream blind. If money ain’t the problem and you can afford what god has blessed you with then DO IT! Read the positive comments and keep moving forward
Great job Peter & friends!! If I ever buy property, I’ll be reviewing this again. Up here in Maine, we could use a nice insulated blind such as yours. Shoot straight and have a short blood trail, Steve
It was hard to tell from the video but are those chairs too low or the windows to high to work properly? It looks like you will have to stand almost to shoot.
Just spray the house again It take 3 coats of paint to make it stay it oil on it I know you want it to look nice but it would have been fine just like it was before paint but buddy I think it fine an it works to hunt in should took that camo stuff you had in the floor in the window to we're you can lay your gun on
You got the classic orange peel. You probably needed to use a primer before you used the finishing colour. The paint you used do not adhere to the metal surface or paint it already had. it is not compatible with the original paint Or the surface of the metal had some residue or oil stil on before paint.
Bud, ya gotta put some actual wall boards up in that thing, the rodents will destroy that fabric... And yes you will have them inside at some point, also bees.... Ive built of few of these in my lifetime, and no matter how tight you think you make it bugs and rodents will find a way in.. The paint didnt stick because you didnt prep the surface right, You need to at least use a good degreaser and power washer to clean it.. Like others said below, should have prepped and painted it before you even brought it out... But in the end, who cares?
It is kinda the point. If it means being more comfortable in more weather to get you outside then it works. Also people will do this and use it as a hunting cabin where they stay overnight so they can wake up and get right to hunting. No hiking. No spooking. You get yourself. A small kitchen and toilet bucket and you are good to go. Imagine being a kid and playing in a tree house. You never wanted to leave. This is the same deal
Loved everything other than sheets used on interior walls. Both insulation and sheets highly flammable.
I'd add some leftover Hydro Turf to the window sills to make it quiet for guns to bump them. Great work!!!!

The blind looks awesome, don't worry about a little messed up paint,we need to get you to 100k followers that would be 💯
i’m so impressed with your work !!! you definitely do not cut corners -well done, you’re going to have an amazing season !!!!!
Your passion and hard work will pay off 🦌🔥
Looks good 👍 the solid black is the best thing for the walls wear a black shirt when your hunting and keep the inside of the blind dark as possible

Do you think the paint is peeling/dripping/not drying due to any bit of round up left in the tank sprayer?
Love your vids and enjoy watching the progress on new property I’ve been a painter for 33 you can use a brush to cut in before your spray will help you save tape and time
What a great job on this blind. I know you will get years of use out of it.

Great Job man, You should add a gun mount that swivels to both windows on the shelves
Man you could live in that home😊

I’ve been waiting for this
sweet build

Did you put the tin on sideways on the roof too..
Dude this is awesome!
Awesome build brother!!
What up buddy I hope your day is going well and I see the Red truck looks good
Where did you get the windows from? Nice work, going to be building one for next year.
i know im a little late but its the heat that made it so that cant spray on metal that hot it outs to thick of a coat on at one time
Seems like the windows were a little high for your chair maybe just the angle of the video but nice blind
Use that raptor texture paint plus its a deer stand.
What’s up with all these fudds hating on him. Yall mad cause yall can’t afford this type of blind. 😅

You’re a beast bro 💯💪🏽

As always a great job & a great video. I bet you can get some good $$ renting that blind lol
Did you insulate the floors
Must say you don’t half ass anything. Looks good
Just spray the house again It take 3 coats of paint to make it stay it oil on it I know you want it to look nice but it would have been fine just like it was before paint but buddy I think it fine an it works to hunt in should took that camo stuff you had in the floor in the window to we're you can lay your gun on
28:53 honestly I would make sure you lock the blind. You never know what will happen and people have sticky fingers
I know everyone has an opinion, but I’d cover that soffit with something. That will be wasp nest heaven

Needed some primer
20:11 ok you should put bamboo flooring in there if you don’t have anything planned 20:36 dang nevermind
Did you use latex or oil base paint?
👍
To keep the noise down & increase your ability to retain heat how about spray foam the floor of the cabin.
Put a balcony on that bad boy
Why didn’t you spray the metal before you cut it?
Whats the total cost please?
Build a set of steps and a platform to get in instead of ladder
Now just need add water and toilet lol
That’s chemical lifting the new paint is reactivating the old paint.
Sure hope that's a good spot. Be a shame to build a nice stand and not be in a great spot.

So, hunting out of it yet? What’s the deal?
bro thats way to big dont miss the deer shaken hahhaahhaahahah
Hi
Cut a small hole in the floor put a funnel and a tube running down to a hole in the ground to pee in !!!!!
I know it sucks but it’s a hunting blind I wouldn’t of even painted it lol
Add a toilet
I’m done watching it though it was going to be a quality build and turned out cheap and shit
This is no longer hunting..... this is a cabin at this point
Thank you
It is kinda the point. If it means being more comfortable in more weather to get you outside then it works.

Fudd
I bet whatever was in that tank from spraying had remnants of some chemical.
i’m so impressed with your work !!! you definitely do not cut corners -well done, you’re going to have an amazing season !!!!!
