Yep, the Kiwis are our brothers and except from when they're kicking our arses at rugby (which is often) I'm all in favour of the bastards. I'd like to think that if you pick a fight with one of us you pick a fight with both of us, that's how I feel about it anyway.

So much so that during the Battle of Elanda River (August 4th - August 16th, 1900) when Colonel Charles Hore received a request from the Boer general Koo de la Ray for his forces to surrender, Hore replied "Even if I wished to surrender, and I don’t, I am commanding Australians who would cut my throat if I accepted your terms."

Thank You Nick I was Victor 5, an RNZIR Company that when in Vietnam we officially formed into an integrated ANZAC Battalion known as V5 - 2RAR/NZ(ANZAC) BN. In Vietnam, the only Au RAR that form part of this unique fighting Bn were the 2nd, then 4th, and the 6th RAR. True ANZAC brothers fighting side by side in Vietnam. The RNZIR companies from the 1st Royal New Zealand Infantry Regiment were Victor 1 hen followed by V2, V3 V4 V5, and V6 and the other KIWI companies were Whiskey 1 followed by W2, and W3.- NOTE -All NZ defence personnel on T.O.D (Vietnam) were Regular Force Soldiers in other words not conscripted by the ballot box to service in South Vietnam but by sworn oath to go protect our Country's interests when needed and after final approval of our Commander in Chief. Her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth 2nd (England and the British Commonwealth) - Finally ANZAC Battalions soldiers of Vietnam "Kia Ora, Kia kaha or "How you doing today stay strong Mate, - Now you cheap Charleys your bloody shout and don't water the piss down- Thank you for your service mates from the KIWI bro's and cousins across the ditch.

They never fought with us at the same time. They were just shared the name Anzac with us because NZ didn't really have any forces and need Australia to take them to and from the war and battlefields. Being so small, but still fought on their own. A much as I like NZ I am kind of tired we have to always point this out that Anzac has NZ in it. Believe it or not but we didnt forget that as we always play their national anthem on Anzac Day and Remembrance Day. They rest of the world knows this to a point. Let Australia be recognised for themselves and what they achieved on their own merits.

It's got nothing to do with the Irish. Unlike the yanks, the vast majority of Aussies acknowledge their shared genetic heritage with the motherland, i.e. Britain.
I don't know what it is with your lot, but even if someone has has one Irish Great-Great Grandparent they will automatically state that they're Irish and refuse to acknowledge any other heritage.
The vast majority of your country are of British descent, a census in the early 80s confirmed it and the only reason British is down to third since then is because people are allowed to just put "American" nowadays.
Don't believe me? Look it up, you plastic paddy.

My grandfather was a captain in the Australian Army, and everyday I think of his bravery and sacrifice, but for some weird reason, I think he loved it, because he was patriotic and loved Australia.

Crazy to think my grandfather lived through 2 great World Wars, the Spanish Flu, and a Great Depression.
I’m definitely spoiled compared to those hardships like being marooned and left for dead fighting the Japanese Empire for 6months after his transport ship was sunk only to be picked up by the marines and tossed into a group of soldiers for the second or third beach landing wave on Okinawa (my grandfather was a sharp shooter in the army before being put in charge of 400 men for the army corp of engineers) .
Thank you all who fought so bravely to protect are values and god given civil rights even though it took far to long for sone groups to obtain those rights when coming back home to the USA.
