It's funny you ask that, we have probably had this same question about 10ish times over the past few weeks but sadly between work, family life and the Blues podcast anything England would kill us off 😂

It’s fun watching the 3 teams coming down talking about/worrying about physicality and the 3 teams coming up worrying about not having enough speed/quality.
Thank you for your comment. I suppose that when you are about to enter a new division, either higher or lower, there will be a need to adjust/adapt. To be honest the Championship is quite physical anyway so we are sort of used to it, but League One may be even more physical.
We are looking forward to the new season already and going to a few new grounds including Wrexham. We are also looking forward to welcoming fans from other clubs to St.Andrews@Knighthead Park, which will be a great atmosphere! KRO and kind regards (Gary)
Great summary. Agree with it all. I advocate Longelo on the wing, like you both. I think we're in for a massive overhaul. The players generally don't have the hunger to match the manager's ambition.

Only players who featured last season who I’d like to keep are Bielik, Buchanan, Miyoshi. Think Tyler Roberts, Laird and Longelo could do a decent job too. As you both state, I too suspect Bielik, Buchanan, Miyoshi, etc could ask to leave or be sold. Either way, I expect 10+ new players coming in over next few weeks.

It's a difficult balance as I do want to generally gut the team as you would have heard however we need some stability, familiar faces and at least a starting 11 😂
Having said that I think a lot will be sold, and as you say 10+ players coming through the door and we can also exploit 5 loans if needed. Going to be a very intense and active summer for this club.

Great video agree with most of what was said. For me, keeping Buchanen and Bielek would be massive. However no player is bigger then the club and after the shambles of last season, no one is irreplaceable. Looking forward to seeing who we bring in and (hopefully) a much better season. KRO

I wish Tony Mowbray well, but when your manager says that your'e not in a relegation fight players would believe him, unlike John Eustace who used the fact that we were relegation favourites to motivate the team. To be honest with the exception of Jukey and Ruddy I don't care who goes, but the fact that Chris Davies has come down 2 divisions and won't be involved with European football next season speaks volumes about him and perhaps he might convince some players to stay.

Now that the new manager is in place it will be interesting to see who stay and who goes. I suspect that Chris will assess the squad and decide on which players fit his philosophy in terms of playing style. The players character and attitudes also need to be assessed and this is where I see quite a few coming under the spotlight.
OIf course there will also be those who want to leave so we are likely to see a massive turnover over players in this window which to be honest is exactly what is needed. KRO
Do you think juke will offer much this season?? He offered nothing last season and he is blowing two minutes after coming on. He gives fouls galore away. Past his best two seasons ago. Waste of money renewing his contract

I think we will see Jukey making most appearances off the bench next season but I think his real value will be off the pitch and especially in the dressing room. He is Blues through and through and he will help new players to understand the club and too settle in. KRO
They are professionals earning huge amounts of money not babies going to school for the first day. Why do we need a player on a big contract to help them settle in?? Waste of money if you ask me. Juke’s legs went two seasons ago. Id rather have someone who can run at defenders with the ball instead of a target man who gives fouls galore away and offers very little. Dont get me wrong he is a great bloke and has probably kept us in the championship on a few occasions but i want players who can offer something on the pitch as lets face we have lacked that last season.

Worth mentioning Bacuna and Miyoshi have a year left on their deal so if they dont want to stay, let alone sign a new deal, its cash in now or lose for free

I'm just hoping we get the spine of the team right,a big centre half and 2 strikers, I keep going on about langstaff at notts county about £1.5 million scored 41 goals in the national league then last season scored 27 goals in league 2.coventry Wrexham, Birmingham and many more clubs were looking at him in January.The other player is a player from Liverpool who supposedly is the Polish Messi? Scoring goals would be a great feeling next year, we've missed that feeling at St Andrews.and another player from Brighton another midfielder but comes highly rated.great show kro.

I totally agree the spine of the team is going to be absolutely crucial to our success going into League 1. Longstaff is getting a lot of attention online. Clearly a goal-scoring machine! at £1.5 million I would argue that is surely worth the punt?
"Polish Messi" made me chuckle. I agree, we have missed that great feeling of having a goal scorer or watching goals fly on. We have been a back-footed team for far too long.
This is going to change next season I'm sure. Exciting times ahead :)

Financially, we're in a position where we don't need to sell anyone, so like you say, the only reason any player will leave is because they want to leave.
With regards to players not wanting to play in League One, hopefully we will only be there for one season, and I think the vast majority of the players owe Blues and us the fans after last season.
I agree with you about the players who didn't attend the end of season awards do, which is very telling.
There has been lots of talk about how Blues getting relegated has provided an opportunity to reset, and with the appointment of the new manager, which is a really forward thinking and positive appointment, my hope is that the vast majority of the squad will stay, at least give it one year to get out of League One.
I think under the right manager, which I think we now have, who will create the right culture and positive environment I think Blues regardless of our current League One Status is a place that players will want to say.
I don't think players have to leave. They can take a one season hit. It's not a big season internationally as unless I'm very much mistaken there's no international tournament next summer with the Asia cup next being held in 2027 which would be the big one for Paik and Miyoshi to have to consider.
I actually think that staying at Blues all things considered would be a really good career decision.
However, I do expect some players to leave. JJ being the most high profile that will get the biggest move for him personally and bring in the most money. To make the step up for him, is a move that would be hard to turn down, especially if it means signing for Atalanta.
Sanderson can happily leave in my opinion. I will even drive him to Rangers (as I type this, I will resist the opportunity to make a cheap joke and dig) as he's not the player of character that I want at Blues.
Dembele is the type of player I want but I don't think he has the type of character we want and need.

After the disaster on the pitch last season, I do agree that certain players owe this club and our fans a good season and some respect after last year however I don't want a single person here who isn't willing to play at that level or not fight for the badge. We had enough of this last season so for me this ends now.
The manager appointment is a perfect time as he can make some decisions, set his own culture and put the hammer down early so that rubbish attitudes won't be tolerated and you can see the door. I think we need someone who isn't scared to call these boys out and tell them how it is. If you listen to Ruddy's interview on the Fozcast we clearly had too many passengers and a lack of passion.
I think a lot of players will leave and a lot will come through the door. Now the manager is in place we already have ST prices and transfer rumours so I believe things will start to move into motion very quickly and we can gear up for a really exciting summer and re-build.
I agree about JJ and sadly possibly Bielek. They will have a decent amount of interest sniffing around. Dembele could do some damage but I don't think he will hang around, to be honest. Sight arrogance there and thinks he is possibly too good for this level. If he isn't willing to do the dirty side of the game then to be honest he will do more damage than good anyway. Dad often calls him and Bacuna "Neutral players" as they cancel out the good work with sloppiness and laziness.

I hope we can keep Dembele, Bielik, Buchanan, Laird, Miyoshi, Roberts & Paik. I agree James is over rated, if we can get 7-10m I think we’ve done well.

Between 5 and 8 Million for Bacuna ….. Never in a million years will any body pay that , I have heard £500K . But in all honesty I know he can be frustrating at times but I would love to keep him , sone of his numbers for goals, assist and passing last year were really good and in League 1 , I really think he would absolutely tear it up , unless somebody offers silly money like the 5 to 8 million you are quoting keep him .

These are just the figures being banded around. It's the same with JJ, I don't think he is near £10 million either to be honest!
I mean on the other side of the spectrum, £500K is ridiculous as well. I would rather keep him than let him go for that. This was a false link / made-up rumour to do with Coventry I believe. I don't think £2-3 million is out of the question for someone like Bacuna, he is certainly a good player that will attract a decent club.

Greedy player and an individual not a team player like Dembele also. Too many hit n miss performances. Shoots when he should pass and tried to be a one man band. You’ll be lucky to get £800k for bacuna

I would only want to keep the players who I was convinced were 100% committed to the club and getting us out of League 1, and I'm sorry to say that very few of them showed the commitment and desire that Jay Stansfield for instance showed last season and he wasn't even our player. Get as much as we can for those who want to go and use the money to bring in young hungry players. I'm sure the new manager will have his own opinion of our players and to be honest I don't think he will try too hard to keep any of them.

Jay Stansfield's energy and worth ethic were insane if we had 11 of him over the pitch we would have won lots of games through desire and passion alone. As you say, let's only keep those who are committed and use this as a chance to start fresh and build back up :)

I will be highly surprised if teams didn't come in and sniff around Bielek (Who left in L1 with Derby), Buchanan and Laird. Being relegated teams might think they will grab a bargain. Either way, I see more than 3 going through not wanting to drop down and also CB not seeing players fitting into his style. Let's wait and see but it's going to be a very busy summer at the club.

Guys not sure where your reading these valuations from or what the source is but baca £5-8m!! 🤣🤣🤣! Not a chance.. more like 1-2m at the most. Like baca as per person but he’s far to hit and miss and hasn’t got the intelligence/ football brain to find a final pass. Gents your way over on all the player valuations for me I’m afraid.. only players we would command a fee over 2.5m would be Bielik , Sanderson, laird , Buchanan, JJ. Ask yourself when the last time we received a fee over 3/5m for a player bar Jude, Jobe. Most of them were frees. 10m for JJ .. again no way.. 4-7m at most including appearances, and money over 2-3 years. Great show as always guys kro
Thank you for your comment, Rich. It’s true to say that all of the player's values would have reduced after the poor season they had last season. There is always speculation about players values wherever you read but I would agree that many are very high. I agree with you about Bacuna, he is probably worth about £1.5 to £2 million at most. This is just some of the madness we read online, it isn't our personal valuations.
To be honest it will be interesting to see any fee we do receive for players as in some cases it will be a case if just get what you can just to get them moved on! KRO

Nice work chaps. Have your views changed since we just signed a new manager who favours possession based attacking football.? That being so we would be nuts to sell Paik certainly, and Miyoshi too. Probably also James although with the fee we could get for him we might get three players of the required (Northampton/Walsall) quality. Should definite;y keep Buchanan Laird and Longelo, Sanderson must go, sub Harlee Dean quality, remember all we need to do is get out of the division (upwards) and kick on from there. From The KROKiwi

We did record this last week before my dads holiday and it's a good question in regards to the new manager coming in. I still stand by a lot of the opinions even with the new appointment. If they don't show passion, desire and want to fight for the badge then get them gone. The time for bad attitudes and lack of fight is over. The new manager has a chance to carve this out immediately.
We definitely had an attitude problem last season. Not sure if you have had the chance to listen to Ruddy's interview on Fozcast but it's really insightful and highlights a few key things like this!

Ok... Sanderson get Rid , Bacuna Get Rid , Longelo not sure --Doesn't get much game time or maybe something in that ( 50/50) Bielik Keep ( don't think He will want to stay though ) Myoshi I'd keep but like Beilik think He will want out ,Paik Same again would keep but will Prob want out , Laird Decent on his day but can be prone to go missing in games get rid , Buchannan Like to Keep but think He will want out , Dembele bad attitude and doesn't want to do the hard yards get rid ... Anyway If these players had anything about them and felt something for the Club they would want to stay and Correct the wrongs of last Season .. KRO lads And enjoyed the Video

Dion Sanderson agree got to be a pitbull. Manny Longelo left side midfield yes. Kristian Bielik is a central defender also. JJ yes cash in Wales International in league 1. Bacuna sell no tracking back

Number 6 made me laugh as I thought exactly the same when I was listening to it. I appreciated the honesty and it was a great listen but it didn't scream an interview from someone who wanted to say or progress at the club.

Fair comment and from what I hear, read and speak with people about, a lot of fans would agree with starting fresh.
The 2 for me would be Bielek and Buchanan as must keeps and also Miyoshi and Laird would be nice to keep. That is of course only pending their attitude is good and they actually want to stay and play here. If anyone has a bad attitude or feels forced to stay here, get them gone immediately.

It wasn't a video based on every single player it was a video based on who we felt were 'at risk'. Originally it was 8 but then I threw 2 additional players in as well.
Young players are relatively low risk as a lot signed new contracts and like to grow with us before moving on and I also don't think Pritchard would be as he only came in January however good shout now actually you've made me think about it. He might want to force an exit I guess but he hasn't showed all that much since joining.

He should be a crucial player this season with his ability on the ball. However he seemed to play one game and disappear for 5. We need players putting in 40+ games a season to add stability.
The Gaffer should get them in one by one ,get a full commitment or your out , far too many fancy pants in the side hence relegation, cannot carry anyone not in league 1

I have just seen it as well. We sit in the Upper Tilton so we can expect a £10 rise per ST.
I was expecting a freeze but thankfully we can stomach this. I heard a tragic story from a Wolves fan on social media yesterday where him and his son have been completely out-priced over the past 5 years. It was really sad to read. Especially as I relate to this going down as dad and son to the blues.
Hopefully this £15 million investment will make it all worth it with a better match-day experience.

I agree, my main reason for Sanderson's criticism was his attitude. It can easily bleed out to the rest of the team too with him being the captain. I wonder if they may look at developing Longelo in his attacking game, but his defending is awful.
