Thanks for the match analysis lads. Watched the match on the TV. the 1st half was a slog. The contained Stansfield by having three players around him every time he was on the wing. Paik's passes just didn't connect. Second half was more like it. Didn't let Crawley much time on the ball. Much more attacking. Top of the league... Happy Xmas.

The central defender Crawley substituted just before we scored had seen out injured for months. They reckon he orly started cos they were down to their bare bones in terms of defenders. He was out on his feet and was cramping up badly so was taken off before he did himself a mischief. He's, I believe, their captain usually and considered their best all round player. BTW, Robbie Elliott was, apparently, on Blues radar manager wise, however, lacked experience. Last night shows why? KRO and Seasons Greetings.

Like a lot of sides at this level, they set up to be compact and press the ball, condense the spaces and stop us playing. But Crawley found out you can’t press the ball for 90mins and offer an attacking threat, you need some possession to have a breather but Crawley couldn’t do that. Ultimately like Barnsley, another tough game in poor conditions where we’ve ground out a result. KRO.

Great videos boys, I think Keshi Anderson has come an awful long way under Davies - an expected name on the team sheet now. I’m chuffed for the lad! I know some fans are grumbling about it only being 1-0 etc.. but these type of games are those that champions win, it wasn’t pretty but we still won. Another great video, enjoying watching these with my grandad on the regular! Keep it up please, Merry Christmas and KRO!!
To be fair about the "camera save" if you watch it back, he's on his left hand side, probably expecting us to recycle and bring the ball around and because of the fact he had multiple players in front of him, even the commentators said that he must have had a split second to read and react to it and, as the ball was heading to the opposite corner, he had to jump top make the save. Honestly, I thought the save was as good as the shot because, if stanno didn't bounce it down, he had one or two defenders closing him down, so he probably thought that he had a better chance bouncing the ball below them, as they were closing him in

First half I was worried, I was not sure what was going on! I agree with everything you say Matt especially about Williumson he looked out of place, Leonard should have come on earlier and Buchanan kept playing the ball back.. we were literally screaming at him to press forward! Really frustrating game to watch! Anderson is just a different level and Stanno that partnership is just pure class! What a miss forDykes just needed to stretch his leg out! When Klara got his yellow card, I thought CD might have subbed him for Taylor Gardner Hickman , moving belick into the middle and Hickman on the right, the reason for this, I thought the centre backs were caught short on pace. The pass through to keshi by iwoka, was a class ball to set up the goal.

Spot on analysis. Especially with Willumson. Should’ve been off at half time. Leonard deserves a run in the team, Willumson on his day is a match winner but sometimes it doesn’t hurt dropping to the bench for a game or two.

Great win, they never caused us many problems, and I think as they tired second half we looked a lot better, how do we now set up against burton at the back with klarer missing through suspension, do we recall Dion, play bucannon as a centre half, or just play belik and Davies.

That game last night, was just the sort of game we would have been out battled and beaten with previous players and sides over the past seasons. Lennard has to get a start tho, last nights game would have suited him down to the ground

Hi guys Glad to get through that game, lot of people praising Crawley but I just thought their game plan was to stop us playing which they were effective at for half a game but apart from that I didn’t think they even tried to win the game and I doubt they’ll play like that again all season. Trevor and Frank would have been rolling their eyes at the birdcage choreographed dance routine after the goal 😂. Respect them as players but lets start punching the air etc after a goal 😂. I speculated in a comment under a previous episode that CD might rest Klarer in last night's game because he was one booking away from a suspension before the amnesty kicked in. Well he played and got booked so now misses Burton game. But I agree with you he needs a rest and missing Burton through suspension instead of Crawley to avoid a booking is more or less the same - probably better on balance as Burton at home is probably an easier game so wouldn't miss him as much.

C.D. says we were comfortable after we scored, we were comfortable against Northampton as well, until we weren't. I am not complaining, but unless we start scoring the goals our possession deserves we are going to drop points that we shouldn't. That said, on course for 108 points at this rate. A win is a win. 1-0 or 6-0 you only get 3 points. We just need to keep going now. Traditionally I've worried every time we play a team at the bottom as that's the game we don't turn up. I do think this team does have that winning mentality as shown by the number of times we've fought back from losing positions. On to Burton and hopefully another 3 points.

Blues are top of the league. A game in hand over Wycombe. Two games in hand over Wrexham. 7 straight wins in a row in 3 different competitions. Two league games next up at home. Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄 💙 Another clean sheet and two moments of real quality. Anderson with the assist and Stansfield showing great movement and a proper goal scorers finish. Stansfield is a class above, and I've always been a big Anderson fan, so it's great to see him silence his critics 🤫 and some are actually eating humble pie and fair play to them. It was like you say arguably our most disappointing 1st half performance. I would argue that Charlton was worse. The difference against Crawley is that we gave a better account of ourselves in the second half, unlike the performances against Charlton. That being said, Shrewsbury was pretty awful, too 🙄. The game was crying out for Leonard. I will say it again, I would play him at 10!!!! Chris Davies has got to start utilising the squad more. We have to see some changes for the Burton game. I agree that the enforced break for Klarer isn't a bad thing. It will be interesting to see what Chris Davies does the back four as there are a number of different options of who could play and play where. @BCFCRoyalBlue I did in a chat with Andy from Boston 🇺🇸 make the point about us pulling away from the other teams but in all fairness we can do that just by winning 1 - 0 but I do think we'll start to put a few teams to the sword. I'd like to think we'll properly go for it on Boxing Day. I would love us to score early and just be relentless in attack and win comfortably. But as we know teams more often than not set up to stop us playing, so that's why I hope we mix it up a bit and play with real purpose and pace as well as having some variation in our play. It's time to shuffle the pack, too. I know it was the same for Crawley having to play last night. What makes it worse is that Crawley kick off early on boxing day and we had to travel back from Crawley and so that's a late night for the team. Still, we have the squad to be able to deal with the demands of the hectic fixture schedule. It's good that we're getting players back as it's clear that some players need a rest be that they look tired or just off form. I definitely think this Boxing Day will be so much better than last year, as we have previously discussed. On another point.... someone bought me some neck oil (2 little cans) as a little Christmas gift. I've drank them already 🤣🤣 safe to say that's not a drink for me 🙄🤣 I'll definitely be sticking to Cruzcampo as my drink of choice at the Blues 😁 KRO 💙

Wiliumson was AWOL for most of the match, I don't think he's fully recovered from his illness. Crawley tried to play us at our own game but at the end of the day they had zero shots on target.

I fell asleep during the first half last night and only woke up around the 70 minute mark which coincided with Brumm's best spell of the game. Really not a good or exciting game but a win none the less.

Spot on analysis. Especially with Willumson. Should’ve been off at half time. Leonard deserves a run in the team, Willumson on his day is a match winner but sometimes it doesn’t hurt dropping to the bench for a game or two.

Great win, they never caused us many problems, and I think as they tired second half we looked a lot better, how do we now set up against burton at the back with klarer missing through suspension, do we recall Dion, play bucannon as a centre half, or just play belik and Davies.

That game last night, was just the sort of game we would have been out battled and beaten with previous players and sides over the past seasons. Lennard has to get a start tho, last nights game would have suited him down to the ground

Glad to get through that game, lot of people praising Crawley but I just thought their game plan was to stop us playing which they were effective at for half a game but apart from that I didn’t think they even tried to win the game and I doubt they’ll play like that again all season.

Dykes would be more impactful than May. I really think a central striker, a goal scorer, is needed. Nothing , apart from Jay, is up to scratch. That's the reality. It's no good looking at reputation. Trevor and Frank would have been rolling their eyes at the birdcage choreographed dance routine after the goal 😂. Respect them as players but lets start punching the air etc after a goal 😂. I speculated in a comment under a previous episode that CD might rest Klarer in last night's game because he was one booking away from a suspension before the amnesty kicked in. Well he played and got booked so now misses Burton game. But I agree with you he needs a rest and missing Burton through suspension instead of Crawley to avoid a booking is more or less the same - probably better on balance as Burton at home is probably an easier game so wouldn't miss him as much.

C.D. says we were comfortable after we scored, we were comfortable against Northampton as well, until we weren't. I am not complaining, but unless we start scoring the goals our possession deserves we are going to drop points that we shouldn't. That said, on course for 108 points at this rate. A win is a win. 1-0 or 6-0 you only get 3 points. We just need to keep going now. Traditionally I've worried every time we play a team at the bottom as that's the game we don't turn up. I do think this team does have that winning mentality as shown by the number of times we've fought back from losing positions. On to Burton and hopefully another 3 points.

Another clean sheet and two moments of real quality. Anderson with the assist and Stansfield showing great movement and a proper goal scorers finish. Stansfield is a class above, and I've always been a big Anderson fan, so it's great to see him silence his critics 🤫 and some are actually eating humble pie and fair play to them.
It was like you say arguably our most disappointing 1st half performance. I would argue that Charlton was worse. The difference against Crawley is that we gave a better account of ourselves in the second half, unlike the performances against Charlton. That being said, Shrewsbury was pretty awful, too 🙄.
The game was crying out for Leonard. I will say it again, I would play him at 10!!!!
Chris Davies has got to start utilising the squad more. We have to see some changes for the Burton game. I agree that the enforced break for Klarer isn't a bad thing. It will be interesting to see what Chris Davies does the back four as there are a number of different options of who could play and play where.

@BCFCRoyalBlue I did in a chat with Andy from Boston 🇺🇸 make the point about us pulling away from the other teams but in all fairness we can do that just by winning 1 - 0 but I do think we'll start to put a few teams to the sword. I'd like to think we'll properly go for it on Boxing Day. I would love us to score early and just be relentless in attack and win comfortably. But as we know teams more often than not set up to stop us playing, so that's why I hope we mix it up a bit and play with real purpose and pace as well as having some variation in our play.
It's time to shuffle the pack, too. I know it was the same for Crawley having to play last night. What makes it worse is that Crawley kick off early on boxing day and we had to travel back from Crawley and so that's a late night for the team. Still, we have the squad to be able to deal with the demands of the hectic fixture schedule.
It's good that we're getting players back as it's clear that some players need a rest be that they look tired or just off form.
I definitely think this Boxing Day will be so much better than last year, as we have previously discussed.
On another point.... someone bought me some neck oil (2 little cans) as a little Christmas gift. I've drank them already 🤣🤣 safe to say that's not a drink for me 🙄🤣 I'll definitely be sticking to Cruzcampo as my drink of choice at the Blues 😁

Wiliumson was AWOL for most of the match, I don't think he's fully recovered from his illness. Crawley tried to play us at our own game but at the end of the day they had zero shots on target.
