Chris Knight is the best singer/songwriter of my generation. True outlaw county from the hills and hollers of KY!! Carrying the torch for Waylon, Kris, and Johnny!! Never sold out to Nashville or even set foot there!! Hes the voice of our simple and often hard way of life around here!! I say that with pride. If I can quote Guy Clark, Chris's music has become an "old friend You can always call" and if you know this style of music? I promise you're better for it!!
Actually chris knight wrote some pretty big hits for some country stars in Nashville. The first one thay comes to mind is she changed her mind when she couldn't change me that Montgomery gentry did. He still stayed true and never sold out but he was in Nashville for a bit.
Saw him in Myrtle Beach about 2 years ago at a place called " The Station" It was a small place that held about 100 people. It was full. The best way to describe Chris Knight is that he is like your best friend playing the string guitar and telling the most wonderful stories at the same time. Chris made a personal friend with everyone in the joint just playing and singing his songs. A perfect evening is what it was.
I will never forget my Aunt Becky I used to read her Bible all the time it was a yellow one a leather zip up one some of the most comforting times of my life I lost that Bible due to arson I lost a lot of things in the arson but I never forget Becky and Reading Becky's Bible
Awesome song, its like it was written and sung for me (Becky) I read my Bible every day for myself and for the man I love . I have to give credit to my son Michael he's the one who sent the song to me and I pray everyday for him and his girlfriend Kat I love them both so much... songs like these soothe the soul so thank you Chris night for singing the song I love it very much. Rebecca Boykin
If you don't like Chris Knight you don't know true music!!! Every song he writes is a story that you can follow along if you really listen!! He's not a Luke or FGLine he is an artist at his craft.
Pure, raw talent....... once in Heaven, Chris will get his due.. Down here (on Earth) he has no chance... since his legs aren't even close to Taylor's (Swift) in a country music industry that does not care about talent only how the 8X10 glossy photo looks.
mr med Agree but Taylor might not be the one to pick on.....plenty of others that can be said about....I take up for her cause at least she writes her own and plays her own music...js
Ck you are so underatted. You are my absolute favorite singer. My daddy's name is William and got a bad whippin when he got caught smoking in the bar. I love your stories. I would love to see you in concert someday.
See Chris Knight live in concert April 16, 2015 at 7:30 at HJ Ricks Center for the Arts at 7:30pm, Greenfield, Indiana. This concert will benefit Hancock Hope House and the homeless of Central Indiana. To order tickets online: www.hancockhopehouse.org
I always imagine this one being the last song of the concert with an extended jam at the end and played slightly faster. Then I go see Chris in Texas and it's the FIRST song played and sounds slightly slowed down. Kind of bummed me out. Loved him anyway, but I will continue to hope it goes my way someday. Lol
I'm going to come out of my skin if I don't get to see CK perform... Somebody.... speak to him about this... nobody wants to see me when I come out of my skin... it's ugly

I have seen him three (3) times in similar clubs. I spoke to him one night and you are right, just like a buddy with a guitar.
