This makes me wish the Fast and the furious franchise would get back to real street racing.
I never understand why people say this. The fast and furious franchise was never about street racing. It was about heists using fast cars and an undercover fbi agent. The street racing they implemented in the movies weren't even 'cannon' perse. Literally just filler for the beginning. That's all (plus some other parts). I think the ONLY street racing movie out of the entire franchise was the 3rd one, which a lot of people don't even count as part of the movie due the story line (at the time) which they kind of forced to be part of the rest of the movies.

I moved to Houston from LA 5 years ago. As soon as I saw the roads, freeways, and how they were policed, I knew things were looking up. This is a great place to own a fast car.

26:24 Nice to know that Texas doesn't have bigger problems than a bunch of guys filling up their cars with gas and getting something to eat. Instead of oh, I don't know fighting real crime like drug dealing, murders, robberies, assaults, the entire police force concentrates their efforts on car meet people who aren't criminals. We have insane meets like this in Florida too. The cops aren't as bad though. As long as you aren't drinking or fighting, they pretty much leave you alone. RT 301 turns into a drag strip after 11PM.

Ok I'm just going to say it. I'm a cop, I won't say where however (nowhere near Texas or Mexico btw), but I actually have a Car Meet Detail coming up (I won't say when) BUT if this were to happen...OMG.
It would be the best- worst detail ever for me.
We own and love these type of cars also but we just don't want anybody getting hurt. I already had to pull a dead woman out of a passenger seat and they charged the driver with homicide.

The big single turbo Supras are cool and I remember when those at 700/800 hp were about the quickest things at meetups.
Not anymore though! Takes 1500whp+ and 3,500lbs now!
