I get really dry skin when the weather changes as well. I found out a little trick that helps with my skin is that I moisturize with cetaphil lotion then I put vaseline (petroleum jelly) on the areas that are really dry. I do this as a nighttime routine so when I wake up my skin feels nice and soft. Doesn't look dry, patchy, or hurt. (The petroleum jelly helps a lot, try it)
I peel all the TIME in the cold weather. I HIGHLY recommend Josie Maran facial butter. I swear by it. Nothing bad to say about it expect it’s a little pricey ($40ish) but it’s thick and you don’t need a lot each application. I also use her foundation but that’s personal preference it’s medium coverage but is meant for dry skin. She also has organic Argan oil if you’re interested in that too. I put the oil on my face like twice a week in the dead winter (I live in Nebraska lol)
Ahhh thank you!! Ill check it out💕 I did my undergrad in NE and my skin has never gotten this dry until this year... the strangest thing. But thank you❤️
I have super dry skin also, I've used the moisture surge for years also. When I feel like that's not cutting it, I mix aloe vera gel and tea tree oil (I found mine in the "ethnic hair care" section at walmart) and apply that after cleansing. Also using a gentle scrub (St. Ives green tea scrub is awesome) helps a lot. Avoid super hot water also.
Im exactly the same way! I need a background noise while I’m studying or else I’ll get distracted by my own thoughts lol. Legit binge watching your videos and Disney plus while studying for A & P😂❤️
Ponds blue lid or cerave moisturizing cream in the tub. Moisturize while your skin is still wet! It traps the water molecules and makes it go back into your face where it belongs.
I feeeeeel you for having no motivation for some exams. I’m going into my second last semester of nursing, and other than a select few of our classes over the whole degree, it feels like either we already know the information we’re being taught, or the information we’re learning just does not seem important. It makes it so hard to find motivation to study 😢 I loved the first two semesters of nursing when we were learning pathophysiology and pharmacology (although I didn’t do amazing in those semesters because at that point I had NO idea how to study - since then, I’ve learned how to study for our exams and am doing better), but now it’s so hard to study because the stuff we’re learning just isn’t interesting and/or doesn’t seem that important and/or the tests are unfair and ask stupid questions that aren’t about the important things. Ugh! (Sorry for all this negativity I just had to let it out somewhere hahaha)
It's probably just dry scalp not dandruff. Dandruff is oily😉. If you use a dandruff shampoo you will only dry out your scalp even more. This weather is terrible! I live in Michigan, and already have had snow😫
Oh, good to know! My dryness on my scalp is only in that front section by my face so i assumed the dryness is coming from my skin dryness. Snow!? I hope we can hope out of the snow just a little longer😩
So glad to have found a super real nursing student vlog! I am also a nursing student! Also could you do a night routine?? ALSO when my face peels from winter I use the Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask religiously!
Aveeno moisturizers are my fave. I’ve splurged on more expensive ones and always end up going back to the aveeno positively radiant one. I just use dove bar soap to cleanse which doesn’t dry me out in the winter. I just went through the whole titer process a month ago but I had chicken pox when I was little like really bad so I was very immune to it along with everything else, thankfully! Also, I liked this video as soon as I heard the crime junkie theme song 🤣
Weleda skin food is THE BEST!! Skin cream! It's for all over your body and it doesnt smell the best but it absorbs really well. It fixed my dry skin immediately. 😊
Just found your channel a few days ago and I’m loving your videos. We have to use Castle Branch at my school too and I’m always having issues with it lol
It might be eczema I use hydrocortisone for the discoloration I have and the dryness cause my eczema is also in my hair to which causes flakes it’s annoying 😂
I have it on a tripod resting on my dash thingie and usually it stays but sometimes i have to hold one of the legs of the tripod to keep it from falling😩 im currently shopping around for an actual car mount!
Alsooo, drink a lot of water and put a oil on your skin at night, I get super dehydrated skin around this time of year as well and I find that drinking water and using my Argan oil, the Josie one from Sephora and I’m good to go! I also use the oil in the morning and under my foundation but if you’re not comfortable with that than a lighter moisturizer for during the day would work
I’m so glad to know I’m not the only one who can’t beat procrastination. 😩
How did your Fila shoes hold up for clinical’s? Do you recommend them?
I LOVE THE CRIME JUNKIE PODCASTS

Jergens daily moisturizer is really good for dry skin and it’s not expensive which I love 🤗
also,,, neutrogena hydro boost moisturizer is the best!!
I tried that a few weeks ago when my skin first started getting dry and it didn’t help me 😩
Neutrogena hydroboost is the best moisturizer I’ve ever used.
Didn't work for me :(
Add rosehip oil to your moisturizer!!

Yes a night routine is coming very soon 🥰
And thanks for the tip, I’ll look into it!!

My degree is in nutrition too and when you said you hated it I felt that 🙃🙃 it’s so repetitive it’s sooo easy to get sick of it
GURLLL seriously sooo tired of nutrition, it’s the same thing over and over again!!!
The same exact thing happens to my skin during the winter time. I went to my doctor and he said it was eczema.
I did some searching on the internet and thats what i think it is too :/ i’m going to schedule an appointment with a dermatologist soon!
I’m just starting the nursing program and have to do the same thing. I wasn’t immune to measles so I had to get the MMR vaccine. It’s so annoying lol
Mayte Lopez I had to get so many shots just to volunteer at a hospital ugh it kind of was annoying but worth it.
It might be eczema I use hydrocortisone for the discoloration I have and the dryness cause my eczema is also in my hair to which causes flakes it’s annoying 😂
