So you need high temp paint because the calipers get really hot? So if you powder coat the calipers you need to take them apart because they need to cure the powder coat with high heat? Why? They get hot normally. I know of people that powder coat lead bullets. obviously the lead does not melt. Its just a guess that you could powder coat an assembled caliper and put it through an oven without an issue. How is the paint holding up three years later? They look great.
900? Dam thats expensive. Most places avg $90 - $100 for 2 - 4 piston , $110 for 6 , $120 for 8 piston. Depending on the shop avg $25 to remove / assembly per caliper . Even some shop will do it low as $75 depending on the colour. So for 2 6 piston up front and 4 piston in the rear Total = $380 For paint, thats like maybe 1- 2 hour of work diy. Plus 30 dollar worth of paint . Also powder coating will last forever compare to paint, painting is just eaaier, faster , cheaper alternative.
You are not mechanically inclined and you were getting robbed for eight or $900 for powder coating I just got an offer from a shop by me for $65 per caliper should have took your own calipers apart
