I'm a complete beginner. Are you strumming with your index finger? It might be obvious to experienced players or a dumb question. But I have a hard time picking up on the strumming patterns and techniques.
@@ARKGuitar Good deal. Mainly asking for future reference. I've made some attempts at up strumming with my finger...not a pleasant sound...at all. If you're looking for different artists/songs, Blind Pilot tutorials are pretty scarce on youtube. Would love to see anything by them...again, for future reference.
@@marshallsolomon9488 yes it's a surprisingly difficult technique I think , it looks easier than it is. I sometimes strum down with my thumb and up and down with my index finger. Almost stroking the strings. Takes a bit of practice but it's well worth learning. I will check them out

Hey. I am yes, that may be harder for a complete beginner, I'd suggest using a plectrum and strumming with that
